    PayPal WPP Direct Payments & Express Checkout Support

    Yup, that was it. I forgot to remove this line of code when I did the #1629 bug fix. $order_totals = $order_total_modules->process();

    Huh. Used ExamDiff to check that the WPP mods were all present and everything looked ok. Switched to the stock orders.php, and the problem is still there. Any ideas where else to look? I do have my admin folder renamed for security; doubt that would cause a problem though.

    Hmm, well, I'll have to think about it. Either disable express checkout entirely and go with another paypal plugin, or revert to your default on the module. I have to say I'm not thrilled that I have to pay $30 a month for WPP only to have my customers routed around creating an account on my site and sent straight to Paypal. "As a stopgap until I write an alternative solution that I have mentioned from time to time in this topic, I use a different PayPal module to offer "PayPal as an additional payment method" on checkout_payment." Can I ask which module you recommend for this?

    PayPal WPP Direct Payments & Express Checkout Support

    Nope, database shows a single order. Looks like the admin area is just displaying it twice for some reason. EDIT: Now that I look at it, the invoice is showing some funky stuff too. Check it out HERE. I'm not getting double billing or double inventory removal, and the numbers add up to a single item order, but repeated. Ahh, OK. I pulled the buttons from the cart and login pages because I think it sends the wrong message. When someone adds an item to their cart, I want them to keep shopping, not check out immediately. I prefer to have the single payment page once they're ready to checkout. Would fixing this be a simple matter of switch the redirect from Paypal to go straight to the confirmation page, or does redirecting back to the shipping page serve some back end function?

    PayPal WPP Direct Payments & Express Checkout Support

    Thanks to Glen's excellent reply in post #3469, this module seems to be working now! Thanks a million for a great contribution! However, I do have a couple issues and I can't find a solution in this thread. The first is that when I review orders placed in the admin-->customers-->orders section, they are displaying very strangly. For each order there are two identical line entries, but when you try to click on one of them you are forced to select both. HERE is a screenshot. The orders are not duplicate - when I delete the order and restock product quantity, it only restocks one item (as shown HERE. Also, when I go to the QBI module to download new orders it shows the correct number. So basically, for whatever reason it is now showing a single order as two identical line items. Second problem is with Paypal Express checkout. It sends me to a total of EIGHT screens to complete the transaction...entirely unacceptable! Here is the order: 1. checkout_shipping.php (select ship method, click continue) 2. checkout_payment.php (select Paypal) 3. redirect to paypal login screen (logged in to papal) 4. review shipping and contact info; still on Paypal site (click continue) 5. now it sends us BACK to checkout_shipping.php on the OSC site (again I click continue) 6. back to checkout_payment.php; this time there are no options shown, only the "add comments field (click continue again) 7. checkout_confirmation.php (click confirm order) 8. checkout_success.php, order is finally completed It seems to me that steps five and six, and possibly seven, should not be there. Any ideas how to fix this?

    PayPal WPP Direct Payments & Express Checkout Support

    I'm running 2.2MS2 and tried installing this WPP mod tonight because I really need to have an option for those who want to pay with CC directly instead of Paypal. It's not working, and I think it's because I installed THIS contrib - I used to get payments with no order showing all the time because users would not click through and return to the site after placing an order. I don't think the WPP contrib and this are playing well together. My site is fairly heavily modded. I've been holding off on upgrading until v3 comes out. Am I better off trying to get these two contribs working together, or biting the bullet and upgrading to RC2a and using the built in WPP support? Was the "payment but no order issue" even fixed in RC2a? I read the release notes but didn't see it mentioned. Basically I need to get WPP / express checkout working, but also need to avoid at all costs having items sold but not deducted from inventory (i.e. no order placed). Any tips in the right direction would be GREATLY appreciated.

    USPS SSL Implementation

    I received an email from the USPS a while ago about them implementing SSL (text below). Put it off until now but am trying to get into compliance. Apparantly some of the api URL's need to change and such. Tried a search but no one seemed to address this. Will this issue affect us, and if so, anyone have any tips on how to reconfigure so my site doesnt suddenly stop shipping on Jan 31st? ***USPS EMAIL*** Dear USPS Web Tools Customer, Subject: FOURTH NOTICE - Important – Action Required! Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) Implemented for Web Tool APIs This is the fourth notice sent regarding the SSL Implementation for Web Tools APIs. If you wish to continue using the APIs listed below, you must alter your code by January 31, 2007. You will be required to communicate via https://, instead of http://, for a total of 46 USPS Web Tools APIs. This change will also require you to change the Web Tools server called from production.shippingapis.com to secure.shippingapis.com. After January 31, 2007, the http:// instances of impacted APIs shall no longer be accessible. Please be advised the list of APIs impacted, as detailed in table below, are currently accessible under SSL and therefore you can begin calling these new instances immediately. QBI Quickbooks Import

    Hi Adam, Well, I'm with you as far as not knowing how the ship insurance contribution works :) I'll just turn insurance off for now I guess...hey my customers lived without it for a long time before I setup OSC, so I guess they will have to again. If you have the time once QBI 3.0 comes out I'd greatly appreciate it. Thank you again for a fantastic contrib!!! Eric

    QBI Quickbooks Import

    I'm also having trouble with insurance making it into QB. In fact, using the usps insurance contrib by Kevin Shelton (http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,2704/page,10) the import will not go at all. Looking at the QBI output in Excel, it is showing the item and shipping price, but no insurance. However, the total does have insurance, so when you attempt to import, QB tells you the numbers dont add up and gives it the boot. Here's the QBI iif content: TRNS INVOICE 2/7/2006 Accounts Receivable Fuller-5 44.25 SPL INVOICE 2/7/2006 ESF Produced -38 SPL INVOICE 2/7/2006 SPL INVOICE 2/7/2006 Shipping/Insurance Paid -4.05 As you can see, the missing 2.20 insurance causes the sum to be off. Would really help to have this fixed as otherwise I won't be able to offer insurance...

    URGENT! Flat Rate / Paypal Shenanagins

    Well, I spent some time thinking about it instead of searching and managed ti figure it out. It was the actual paypal based shipping setting that were over-riding the amounts sent by OSC. Just in case someone else is ever as dumb as I was, that's how ya fix it :)
  12. I have 3 options for shipping domestic - flat rate, priority and express. Customers may choose whichever is the best value for them. International customers have the option to go Air Letter, or Global Express. They do NOT have any flat rate option. Problem is that once the order is confirmed, no matter what they choose, Paypal only charges the flat shipping rate to both domestic and Intl. customers. If you do not go thru Paypal and elect to mail in payment by check or money order, the shipping total reflected in the invoice is correct. So, somehow when the transaction is passed off to Paypal, the shipping rate is getting fixed at the flat rate. I've searched and read for nearly 2 hours now and can't find this recorded anywhere. I need to list a bunch of new products but can't as I have a lot of international customers and can't afford to give them all flat rate shipping. HELP PLEASE!

    QBI Quickbooks Import

    Hello Everyone, I'm new to Quickbooks as well as osCommerce. Got my site set up all right, and successfully installed the QBI contribution the other day. However, I have also found a utility that uses Perl to output a very comprehensive iif file directly from Paypal, and includes shipping fees and paypal fees. Which one does it make more sense to import, the Paypal file or the QBI Contrib output? It seems that the QBI will automatically update the order status as well as give me separate inputs for shipping paid. However, the Paypal import will give me Paypal fees, a unique transaction number, actual postage expense since I use the built in USPS shipping. If I use QBI, how do I handle actual postage expense and paypal fees? If I use the Paypal iif, how do I handle the order status and the amount the customer paid for shipping? I'm sure there's a lot to this topic that I don't know or realize. Any hints / insights for this newbie would be very appreciated!! Eric http://www.cubicdissection.com
