    Automatically send data feed to Froogle

    Hi Dan, you mean it might not be my fault?? (Yes, I suffer from a guilt complex). Thank you for your note. I have written to netfirms, but do not expect an answer prior to tomorrow morning. Was hoping to do something (if I could do something) before then. (I have a low EQ too.) :'(

    Automatically send data feed to Froogle

    well, I just tried to access my store today - gallery.juliatrops.com I cant get in. I cant get in to either do admin, or as a regular user. Here is the error: Warning: mysql_connect(): Access denied for user 'u70200285'@'cgihost' (using password: YES) in /mnt/w0605/d31/s01/b0267acb/www/gallery/nfoscomm/catalog/includes/functions/database.php on line 19 Unable to connect to database server! Is there something that I can look at to try to fix this? I posted up the google feeder.php file a few posts up. Is it possible someone hacked in to it? Someone please please help. :'(

    Automatically send data feed to Froogle

    hi there, I have just downloaded this contribution, and am having a bit of a problem. I think I made the changes correctly, but if someone could take a look to make sure I did it right... I have removed the database name, username and password for security reasons. The error I am getting is that cookies must be enabled to view the page, when trying to look at googlefeeder.php. I am using mozilla, and have removed all cookies. Also tried in explorer, with accept all cookies as the default. Any idea what the problem is? Thank you in advance! 4. Hi Jack, I am a bit further along. I searched on the forum for a similar fatal error, and saw where you recommended the person to upload the categories.php file that came with the contribution. I did this, and the error went away. I have saved the old one as a .bak just in case that was not a good thing to do. So since there has been a bit happening, I still do have some questions, but they are updated as follows to make talking with me a bit more clear: First, please let me know if I should have/have not done that! uploaded I mean, as I said above, in this post. Second, I dont understand the instructions about updating the other files. In the install_catalog.txt file, you talk about locating the line containing HEAD_TITLE, and removing the pageHeading class and adding the h1 tags above. What is the code I am removing? The same where it talks about in the product_info.php file (around line 104) as referred to in the install_catalog? And third, the only page that has updated is the index file. All the others have not. I must be missing something. I will wait to hear from you! Hope you are having a terrific holiday weekend! Sincerely, Julia http://gallery.juliatrops.com
  5. Hi Jack, I am still working on this, seemed to have solved the parse error... now have: Fatal error: Call to undefined function: tep_db_query() in /mnt/w0605/d31/s01/b0267acb/www/gallery/nfoscomm/catalog/admin/categories.php on line 21 TABLE_HEADING_CATEGORIES_PRODUCTS TABLE_HEADING_STATUS TABLE_HEADING_ACTION // HTC BOC $categories_query = tep_db_query("select c.categories_id, cd.categories_name, c.categories_image, c.parent_id, c.sort_order, c.date_added, c.last_modified, cd.categories_htc_title_tag, cd.categories_htc_desc_tag, cd.categories_htc_keywords_tag, cd.categories_htc_description from " .   6. oh forgot... my oscommerce store is http://gallery.juliatrops.com Thank you! Julia
  7. Hello there! I have had more pics 6 installed in my oscommerce store for about 7 months or so now, since earlier this year. No problems, etc. It works great! but, have a parsing error now, with more pics, since I installed the Header Tags contribution this morning, and I can not get in to my Categories from my Admin panel. Everything else seems to be fine. Here is my parsing error: Parse error: parse error, unexpected ',' in /mnt/w0605/d31/s01/b0267acb/www/gallery/nfoscomm/catalog/admin/categories.php on line 463 here is the code just before and after line 463: // BOF: More Pics 6 Added: , products_subimage1, products_subimage2, products_subimage3, products_subimage4, products_subimage5, products_subimage6 $product_query = tep_db_query("select products_quantity, products_model, products_image, products_subimage1, products_subimage2, products_subimage3, line 463 is this: products_subimage4, products_subimage5, products_subimage6 ... then, when I went to investigate this, and re-uploaded the file, I got the same error on line 74... again, in more pics 6 snippet of code. Now when I adjusted the code for Header Tags, I had to copy and paste around More Pics 6. Is there something that I copied over inadvertantly? Anything that JUMPS out at you?
  8. Okay! I spoke too soon. Went back to read the original readme file to see if I missed anything, and I had. I actually have to activate the contribution in my admin box to work. And I see the header tags there... but, when I went to click on "catalogue" I got an error: Parse error: parse error, unexpected ',' in /mnt/w0605/d31/s01/b0267acb/www/gallery/nfoscomm/catalog/admin/categories.php on line 463 here is the code just before and after line 463: // BOF: More Pics 6 Added: , products_subimage1, products_subimage2, products_subimage3, products_subimage4, products_subimage5, products_subimage6 $product_query = tep_db_query("select products_quantity, products_model, products_image, products_subimage1, products_subimage2, products_subimage3, line 463 is this: products_subimage4, products_subimage5, products_subimage6 Should there be a comma after subimage6?
  9. Oh WAIT! you mean I should have kept the line in between the two lines below...? <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=<?php echo CHARSET; ?>"> THis line:??? <META name="verify-v1" content="mdcjrcEPkEat0T3a2PAoApDleQGEnwrSnqLKLVoikFg=" /> <title><?php echo TITLE; ?></title>
  10. Hi Jack, fabulous thank you, I did this, and so far the pages seem to be loading okay. I had to work around some code from a few other contributions, but I went slow, and, knock on wood, it is all okay. My question now is this... the title still comes up as oscommerce - where can I change the title to specific keywords for seo optimization? I have not looked yet in any of the files to see if I can find it myself, or if it can be done. My cats are all keyword specific, and seo optimized, but these do not seem to be showing at the top. Is there something else I need to do? Is this what you mean by changing all the files in the catalogue/ directory? I have done: install_cat install_admin Thank you very much, Julia http://gallery.juliatrops.com
  11. <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=<?php echo CHARSET; ?>"> <META name="verify-v1" content="mdcjrcEPkEat0T3a2PAoApDleQGEnwrSnqLKLVoikFg=" /> <title><?php echo TITLE; ?></title> I am about to do this part of the install catalogue: FIND: <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=<?php echo CHARSET; ?>"> <title><?php echo TITLE; ?></title> REPLACE with: <?php // BOF: Header Tag Controller v2.5.7 if ( file_exists(DIR_WS_INCLUDES . 'header_tags.php') ) { require(DIR_WS_INCLUDES . 'header_tags.php'); } else { ?> <title><?php echo TITLE; ?></title> <?php } // EOF: Header Tag Controller v2.5.7 ?> But I seem to have an extra line that is not mentioned in the instructions. Is this okay? And is this the code I would look for on all the pages under my /catalogue directory? Thank you for your help, Julia http://gallery.juliatrops.com
  12. a-ha! gotcha. Okay, now it is very clear. Thanks!! LOL! It takes a bit, but once I got it, I got it. Talk to you soon, Julia
  13. Hi Jack, yes, but I thought I couldnt use the database setup php file if I have already adjusted code in my store setup....? Sorry, I dont mean to be obtuse, but is it possible for me to still use it then? I would love to be able to do that. Thank you, Julia
  14. The second method is to use the database_setup.php file in the same directory. This is easier to use for most people. All you do is copy the file to your host. Place it in the same directory that your index.php file is in. Then, open a browser and go to your site and type in the name of the file after it. For example, if the url of your site is www.mysite.com, then type the following in the browsers url string: http://www.mysite.com/database_setup.php Then press enter and it should install it for you. Hi Jack, thank you for your reply. This is from the install_readme_first.txt file. But now I understand what you mean re: from when the shop was first opened. I have changed things (ie easy populate and a few other contribs), so it isnt a virgin install. I guess I need to do a bit of reading before I do anything. :) I dont know much about phpadmin, but if there are step by step instructions for me to follow, then I can do that pretty good. Thank you for your help. Sincerely, Julia http://gallery.juliatrops.com
