I have some problem with the shipping estimator. I have set free shipping for order above US$50. If below US$50, there will be US$10 charge. I put a US$120 value item into my cart, when not login, it shows US$10 shipping cost. Which is wrong. When login in, it shows US$0 shipping cost. Which is correct. Any idea how can I correct this? >_<

There is setting in this mode to exclude the product/s you want to allow for the coupon. There is a select all, then remove the one you want to use the coupon.

The "Display subtotal with applied discount?" when set to FALSE is not working. Subtotal still showing the discounted price. Is there a way to make this works? I asked because I have shipping based on price. For order above $50, I give free shipping. If below that, I charged $10 shipping. When a customer purchased a $70 product and use a $30 discount coupon, the subtotal becomes $40 and there will still be $10 shipping charged to it. This is wrong and I do not want to charge customer shipping based on subtotal after discount. It should be FREE SHIPPING as the original purchase is already over $50. How to solve this?

I got a problem. Few days ago I installed the contribution without any problem, and it is working fine after testing. However, today, after upgrading PERL from 5.8.7 to 5.8.8, I notice that there are now some problem with the discount coupon. The TOTAL is not right, discount coupon is not being deducted. Eg.: Sub-Total: RM349.50 PosLaju / EMS Shipping (1~2 business days to arrive): RM0.00 Discount Coupon SHASHINKI-01 applied:: -RM5.00 Total: RM349.50 (Should be RM344.00) I am not sure if this is due to PERL upgrade or not, but can anybody help me or teach me what I should check? :'(

My PayPal account is in Japan, and recently (8th March 2007) they have changed all Japan PayPal account to Japanese default language. All of my customers are directed to a PayPal Japanese language page. As according to PayPal, I need to change the buyer's country in my shopping cart (OSC) to United States, so that everything will be in English then. How do I do that? Sorry...I am very bad in coding and I don't know where to start. I am using the default PayPal payment gateway in OSC (NOT IPN). Many thanks!

Dear djmonkey1, Thank you very much for the reply. I checked both text and value in phpadmin in my database, both are not NULL with text US$5 and value 5 inside. I tried your method above, though it did not delete the Fuel surcharge column now, but it changes the value to ZERO and I can't edit it anymore :( Any idea how I can solve this? My fuel surchage is based on shipping cost is having the value of 12.5% of shipping cost. Only oversea countries have fuel surcharge, local doesnt have. The class used is "ot_tax". Discover a bug in the Order Editor v2.6.3 that I am using. I have an extra FUEL surcharge (12.5%) for oversea shipping, based on the shipping cost. After customer made order, it recorded down fine with: Shipping Cost = US$100 Fuel Surcharge = US$12.50 After I edited the order and saved, it automatically DELETED my Fuel Surcharge column! I have to manually insert it back on again. How to correct this?

Problem with send email when I copy the image from my website and paste into the send email page (in WYSIWYG style): eg. http://shashinki.com/shop/images/imagecache/EP-P5000.jpg it automatically change it to: ../shop/images/imagecache/EP-P5000.jpg Receipant will receive the email with broken link of the images :( How to correct this?

I have installed Ultrapics to my new site, and I just realized that the images I uploaded for the extra images field is not working properly. In the admin edit page, I can see the correct images in both SM and XL columns, but in the product page, when click on the extra images, it pop up and show the default image! I have installed many contributions to the site and I don't know what went wrong. I really hope not to install everything from fresh/scratch again...please help... :(

what does optimization database actually do? How database is being optimized? Deleting unused table?

djmonkey1, Is it possible to add Customer ID into the order editor? Reason is because I am using PayPal (not PayPal IPN as some problem with it), and when my customer not clicking the return to merchant button at PayPal, the order is lost. I will have to manually make an order for my customer and have to change the Customer ID to the right customer in PHPAdmin. If it can be shown and changeable at order editor, then it would really safe lots of work and steps. Thanks!

Managed to upgrade to the latest version v2.63 from v2.2, and it seems working fine now :) (no changes to the database, just using file compare to manually copy and paste the new scripts) Thanks djmonkey1! :thumbsup:

Hi, 1. When the order is made using MYR (Default Currency), I have no problem editing the order and still get the correct value after editing. 2. When my customers make an order in USD, OSCommerce recorded down the order in USD. However, if I edited it using Order Editor, the total and recorded values are all messed up. It seems like Order Editor doesn't know that this order is now in USD but still assume it as in the default currency (actual value 1:1). Hence if I edit the order or change the figure, Total in the order will be too much and wrong. 3. Other currencies (SGD or Pound) also having the same problem. Thank you!

I am currently using an old version of order editor (v2.1 if I am not mistaken), and I would like to know if the following problem has been fixed in the new version before I upgrate it: 1. My default currencyis MYR (Malaysia Ringgit) (MYR1 = USD0.2857) 2. I have other currency in my store, eg. USD, Pound, S$...etc. 3. When a customer ordered in USD, if I edit the order using order editor by adding products or making changes to the price/shipping, then the whole order is messed up. 4. Order editor use the different value and figure in the total $...and the total $ becomes NOT CORRECT. 5. I have to go to PHPAdmin to edit that particular order number to change the shipping, total and item value to USD equivalent. Is the order editor works for multiple currency store?

I am still having error connecting to the database after the changes above... any help?

I tried PayPal IPN OSC official moduel, but it is not working for me. It creates an order everytime a customer arrived at the Confirm Page (before clicking the confirm button). Say if the customer went back to add more orders or went back to change the payment type, then I have an extra order recorded. I used the PayPal IPN for a few days and dump it. I am now putting up a warning descriptions as this thread starter suggested, hopefully the mysterious orders are kept to the minimum... :rolleyes:
