    Master Products - MS2

    Hey there... I have installed MP and it works - but if I add additional masters, the slave does not appear under any of the master product pages. I installed the updates that appear to allow this, and I am able to easily input multiple masters, and it saves them, but once there is more than one master - the slave doesn't work for any of the masters. Is there another update I am not aware of? Or do you have an idea what may cause this? Thank you!!!

    Master Products - MS2

    In the edit product admin interface you can set the product as "in stock" and leave the qty field blank. Then it will not show up as out of stock. All of my items are made to order, so thats how I do it.

    Master Products - MS2

    My site is also heavily customized, the files have all the changes commented, so it was very easy to manually install just by taking the new sections of code and copying them into the appropriate sections of my pages. If you open any of the changed files, you'll see the //Master Products comments wherever something needs to be changed. I wish all contribs were done this neatly!

    Master Products - MS2

    I think i have the Master Prodcuts MS2 installed correctly, but I am having trouble figuring a couple things out. I am not sure if I am entirely certain on how to properly use this. My usage will be tables, and listed under the table will be a separate table base which can be added if needed. Possibly a standard height and a bar height base will be listed. Some tables will have different bases, but many of them will use the same size of base. Is the table the master, and the base the slave? I can get this to work - but only if I add it as a new master product. The assign as master check box has no effect on existing products. I really don't want to recreate all 60-70 tables and bases if possible. Have i missed something here? Also, in the configuration > slave products - nothing shows up there. Should there be options or a listing? I have a couple masters setup. Thanks!!

  6. Thanks, I'll give that a shot. I think there are only 2 files that need to be changed. My only concern is that some of the line numbers might be different since I have modified them... although I could probably edit original versions, and then redo the other contrib....just thinking out loud here... ugh.... :) I'll probably end up hiring a friend of mine who is really good at php to do some of this stuff in the end anyway!
  7. Thanks... I have actually looked at that contrib, but its patch files and I want to do it manually, because of my other contribs. It only includes a patch file, and I am not familiar with using patch files. You are right though... i think this would do exactly what I want to do, if I can just figure out how to install it??? It gives some commands that need to be run, but I am not sure where to run them... is that done on the server on locally. I am using a mac if that makes a difference.
  8. I need to add a couple attributes to products that the user will not be able to change, or even see. They are needed on the admin side, and will not matter to the customer. We are shipping via fed ex freight, and not all items ship from the same address, so I need to be able to assign one of 3 zip codes assignment to each product. The other attribute is a simple YES or NO. Again, in both cases the customer does not need to see or be able to change the data (doing so would result in miscalculation of shipping charges). The only thing they will be needed for is for the shipping module to see so that it can determine how to properly calculate shipping. I have looked for a contrib to this and didn't come up with much. I tried to install the extra field contrib, but the instructions were extremely difficult to understand (i have to do it manually because i have so many other contribs already installed). Does anyone know of a way to do this? It seems like a simple thing, but I've been running into brick walls for days trying to get it done. Thanks!

    Multiple Shipping Zones

    I have the same thing going on.... Some of our products ship from here, but most ship from a warehouse, either in Kansas City, or in Florida. I am looking for a way to assign a origin to the product, rather than just automactically choosing the store's zipcode for every product.

    LTL (Freight) shipments

    I am using the FedExFreight module.... however I am wondering about a couple things. 1- Our products will not all be shipping from a single locations. For example, a chair may ship from zip 66210, where a table may ship from zip 33615. Is it possible to assign a zip code to each product for shipping purposes, rather than a single zip code in the main module setup. We would also like to be able to add a S&H fee for some products, but it will not apply to ALL the products. 2- It doesn't appear that the user has the option to select if they will need a liftgate or not. The only person that knows this information is the customer, so it would really help out if the user could make that determination when checking out. 3- This one may be more complicated. One of the items we're shipping is table tops. We typically ship them on a pallet, up to 25. Is it possible for this module to calculate up to 25 tops + pallet as a single item, or does it make a difference in the shipping price if they are all a single item. The most urgent one is #1. Thanks for any input anyone may have!!

    Center Shop Contribution

    I am having the same issue. When I try and run the SQL config file I get the error: #1062 Duplicate entry '16' for key 1 I have no idea what this means, or how to fix it. When I go into my admin, center shop is showing up, but there isn't any options when I click on it. Any ideas???
