  1. Hi Alane, Thanks for your response. I moved the files and changed the code which has got rid of the errors - which is a good start ... BUT When I select the attribute drop down it changes to loading (as expected) but then it does not bring back any values so I end up with an empty drop down box! Did you have anything like this? Thanks again for the help Giles.
  2. :D This is exactly what you are looking for http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,3809 :D Very small contrib ... a bit of Javscript and a short php script. Very few mods ... My only problem is although it should work ... I can't make it. When it tries to pull in the options associated with the attribute nothing comes back in. When I run the code on its own I get an 1146 Table Error?!? and I am not sure what to do now! If anyone gets this working can they reply to this post. Thanks.
  3. You need to use the application which you use to look at your database. Something like mySQL. Should have link from your hosting provider through cPanel or similar. If you are using myPHPadmin then look on the first page under a text box for a button marked BROWSE. Click that then find the .sql file and it will run on your dbase building the new tables etc. Hope this helps.
  4. Sorry ... Forgot to add link to this excellent Mod ... http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,3809
  5. >_< This contrib was uploaded on the 30th and looks to be exactly what I (and loads of other people judging by the other posts on this board) are looking for ... Javascript function to pull the Values for Attributes ... ie. shows only the relevant options for a particular attribute. Superb ... BUT ... :x I get an error which I would really appreciate some help with ... Application_top.php calls the configure.php file ... I've looked at the configure.php file and can see nothing wrong with it! I have search Google and these boards and it seems to be a common error to do with .htaccess or php.ini? I am a newbie to this and couldn't find a solution that made any sense. I am hosting this on Lycos who I have since found out restrict some php functions and CHMOD ... could this be the problem? Any help would be great. Thanks in advance. :D :D :D

    Attribute Sets Plus

:D Thanks Chris for having at look at my problem. I will replace the session.php file with the original from osCommerce download and see if that helps. I am using WordPad - but I thought this was fine ... I will find something else to edit with and reinstall. Thanks for warning on homepage .... I know it is there but it is because I am on Lycos - NO CHMOD access!!!! (Have to phone up to ask them to change - lucky it is only a test build site) I was thinking the session ID errors might be because the access to the folder maybe CHMOD'd wrongly - but it has worked on other mods?? (options as images etc.) Any thoughts .... Thanks again for your help ...

    Attribute Sets Plus

 This contrib looks exactly like what I am looking for. Install looks to be fine and appears to be working appart from I get the following errors to do with the session ID Warning: session_start(): open(/data/session/sess_cd5f1e9278c93c3167b4a2d90cfd7a3a, O_RDWR) failed: Permission denied (13) in /data/members/paid/s/i/silkbarn.co.uk/htdocs/www/admin/includes/functions/sessions.php on line 67 Warning: session_start(): Cannot send session cache limiter - headers already sent (output started at /data/members/paid/s/i/silkbarn.co.uk/htdocs/www/admin/includes/functions/sessions.php:67) in /data/members/paid/s/i/silkbarn.co.uk/htdocs/www/admin/includes/functions/sessions.php on line 67 and Warning: Unknown(): open(/data/session/sess_cd5f1e9278c93c3167b4a2d90cfd7a3a, O_RDWR) failed: Permission denied (13) in Unknown on line 0 Warning: Unknown(): Failed to write session data (files). Sorry for being a complete newbie but if anyone is out there who can help me that would be great ... Thanks in advance :D :D :D
  8. Just installed Quick Updates ... excellent Mod - which works fine "out of the box". I have altered my dbase in phpMyAdmin to allow me to display/alter other attributes rather than just price ... ... now when I go into config to change the attributes I get the following error when I try to edit any of the fields ... "Parse error: parse error, unexpected $ in /data/members/paid/s/i/silkbarn.co.uk/htdocs/www/admin/configuration.php(125) : eval()'d code on line 1" I have searched the forums and can not find a support thread for this contribution. Apologies if I have posted in the wrong place. Any help much appriciated.
