    Thanks!
Will continue sending out Beta 2 links to the registered Beta testers, and will make an announcement tomorrow. Will also try to re-do the demo to allow access to the back end.

@osCommerce-Official  I know -  we received the mail this morning - Thank you! Will test later.
But nevertheless - if one is able to browse around on a life demo - it might give more enthusiasm and ideas what to expect. And hopefuly convince more Beta-testers to step in. Maybe you can imagine quite a few former osC users are a bit sceptical considering what happened to osC the last years ...
    Just a thought!

I would like to kindly appeal that the following osCommerce members (list of members shown below are in alphabetical order) be added to your list of registered testers for Beta 2 release as soon as possible, as such individuals are all well versed in PHP and have been faithful to the osCommerce community for many years, thus they will be a great asset to you in uncovering any bugs or issues before the general release of osCommerce v4:

The error will tell you what it should be.  For example if that is the correct value, then the error will tell you that it is using /data/www/my_website/public_html/ext/modules/header_tags/twitter_typeahead/includes/hooks
When you see the ext/modules/ part, you know that the part that you want is to the left of it.  It should end with a /

I still think that a better solution to this would be to fix the DIR_FS_CATALOG value in includes/configure.php to not change with the location of the calling page.  Then you can leave the files inside ext.

Don't get me wrong - I totally love to see you and others engaging and try to improve your sites / stores ... But maybe it is just a little over your head in terms of newer coding standards. And then I would advice to give it some time .. just pause for a few weeks - take a coffee and relax. There is no need to adapt your store for point (just to clarify that is 1.0.5.1 / 1.0.5.2 / 1.0.5.3 etc) relaeses ... Just give it some time!
You can freely play with the newest code - but take some time to read - give it some effort from your side and don't ask the simplest of questions over and over again... if you go to  https://www.w3schools.com   and work your way through the tutorials you will learn a lot! Off course there is lots of other interseting sites to learn from - eg  https://www.stackoverflow.com
And I really hope this helps - so you understand what a development path consists of!

Sorry .. but that is crap. Just read carefully the comments of John - Matt and Gary. If you and others in general can not keep up (dont have the skills) with changes than stick to quite stable 1.0.5.0 ... But for every simple notice moaning about stable is not going to bring us where we want to be.
I am very sorry if I am blunt but I don’t know how to put it nicely.

Gary asked Henry to do some coding but after waiting for a long time and taking a lot of abuse from henry in one of his drunken moments, nothing got done, and that was henry's fault and no one else's. Henry talked the talked, said that he could do lots but did nothing. There is a lot more to that story but I wont go into it here. No doubt he will come back here now under yet another username and start the abuse again.
As for the boostrapped admin that shetch did, I think it was poorly coded so went no further. if it was good you would think that he or someone else would have continued with the development, but nothing has happened there. There could be an opportunity for someone to restart it again.

I agree - Finalize 2.3 Community Version as it stands now. It is workable and for those who want to stick with older addons it should work.
The rest of us should focus energy on 2.4 ....  That's to say  2.4 Community Edition because I do not think any official will ... blah blah blah .....

azpro reacted to piernas in [Addon] Horizontal CSS menu for admin 2.3.4 and BS
This module installs an horizontal CSS menu for the admin side.
It also disables the standard stock left menu and adds the correct descriptive title to the page, so you can find the tab you're searching for in your browser.

I made this menu because we use tablets for preparing orders on a daily basis, and even cell phones when we are out of the warehouse, and we have to continuously zoom in/out because the screen does not fit well. Now without the side menu there's a lot more room for small screen devices.

Tested on 2.3.4 responsive but should work with standard version.

    Hello fellow osCommercians.

This is the support topic for the addon SEO Friendly Urls.

SEO Friendly Urls is a new addon for the osCommerce CMS that will change the default urls into what a modern website's urls should be! (at least that's what I think)

I will shortly add the zip file into addons page. (I just wan tto grab this topic link in order to add it into the addons page)

    Example: of SEO Friendly Urls:

    www.mystore.com/product_info.php?products_id=17

    will be

    www.mystore.com/scarves/oval-crystal-scarf

Urls possible structure examples : *
    www.mydomain.com/category-alias www.mydomain.com/category-alias/sub-category-alias www.mydomain.com/category-alias/sub-category-alias/sub-category-alias www.mydomain.com/category-alias/sub-category-alias/sub-sub-category-alias/sub-sub-sub-category-alias e.t.c. www.mydomain.com/product-alias www.mydomain.com/category-alias/product-alias www.mydomain.com/category-alias/sub-category-alias/product-alias www.mydomain.com/category-alias/sub-category-alias/sub-category-alias/product-alias www.mydomain.com/category-alias/sub-category-alias/sub-sub-category-alias/sub-sub-sub-category-alias/product-alias e.t.c. * Can also add any desired extension. Can also add language alias.

    Example with language alias: www.mydomain.com/en/category-alias/product-alias

Extras: You can also create alias for core pages such as specials.php, reviews.php

For example you could change specials.php to specials (www.mystore.com/specials)

    -------------------

EDITED: Here is the addons link:  http://addons.oscommerce.com/info/9371
P.S. I did not added this topic url to the addons page. Damn, I forgot.

P.S. I hope I don't break any rule this time.

FYI, I used USU5 for BS with these SEO addons and they worked fine: Burt's header tag reloaded. JackMC's sitemap, All Products, and google xml sitemap...
