  1. Ok...I decided to re-install the "USPS Methods_2.8d" & "USPS Methods Update for Postal Rates & Services Changes 5.14.07"

    1.) Turn off ("remove") the USPS shipping module in your admin first (be sure to save all your USPS server login / password info first)

    2.) Install "USPS Methods_2.8d" per the instructions

    http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contri...ch,usps+methods

    3.) Install "USPS Methods Update for Postal Rates & Services Changes 5.14.07" per the instructions

    4.) In PHPAdmin, run the SQL queries.

    5.) In OSC Admin, re-install the USPS shipping module and edit the info for you server login/password and make sure you're on the "production" server.

    Works like a charm now. I believe the the error is caused by an improper installation during the editing of the USPS.php file. Instead of replacing code, comment out the old code by placing a /* before and a */ after the old code. Then paste in the new code.

    Here's my tip - go slow...some the code that needs to be replaced in the USPS.php file looks the same in 5 places but read CAREFULLY and make sure you are replacing the EXACT same code. Not sure if this was my problem but it's working now, so I am pretty sure that's what occurred.

    Either that or I ran the first SQL query and didn't run BOTH SQL queries

    Good luck!

  5. Hey Mark, did you get it fixed? It amazes me that with all the people on this site there is not more replys. Especially since USPS is a key shipping module or maybe not that many use it.

    I guess I will try to re do all the stuff I did updating the USPS methods mod.

    Rich

    I haven't fixed it yet. After some reading, many people have had success with the "USPS Methods_2.8d" contribution with the "USPS Methods Update for Postal Rates & Services Changes 5.14.07".

    I have been running an OSC site for two years with no problems...until the rate change.

    So, I do the install:

    "USPS Methods_2.8d"

    "USPS Methods Update for Postal Rates & Services Changes 5.14.07"

    It was pretty simple and straight forward but now I get this for international addresses but not domestic addresses.

    -2147219080 - Missing value for Country.

    I realize that this is typically because the improper country is selected in the admin -->config...but I have United States selected and my zip code is entered.

    Any ideas on how to get this fixed for my international orders? I thought that someone would have a resolution for me but I am at my wit's end.

    This is a live site, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Sincerely,

    Mark

  6. okay, i got it. it was a little tricky, and it might have to do with the order of my actions. but get the 2.8d usps method files. make the changes in the most recent Updates file by kbucher.

    Before you upload these files, REMOVE the USPS module in the oscommerce admin.

    upload the changed files. INSTALL the usps module, thn go and make the SQL updates withing kbuchers notes.

    i went straight to the production server and had it working.

    good times.

  7. I just noticed this problem for domestic AND international. I went back to the old production server, and it seems to be working: production.shippingapis.com

    Well, I decided to try the USPS Methods 2.8d contribution and now have a different problem.

  9. Hello all.

    I have been running an OSC site for two years with no problems...until the rate change.

    So, this morning I do the install:

    "USPS Methods_2.8d"

    "USPS Methods Update for Postal Rates & Services Changes 5.14.07"

    It was pretty simple and straight forward but now I get this for international addresses but not domestic address (I have my admin>config> set to my zip code and "united states" selected).

    -2147219080 - Missing value for Country.

    Any ideas on how to get this fixed for my international orders?

  10. I have been on the production server for about a year and half with no problem and using the standard OSC USPS shipping module. I have been getting this same error for orders outside of the US for about a week now.

    Something has definitely changed on the USPS end and my OSC is fairly unmodified with add-ons and I haven't touched it.

  11. Still no orders. I changed the file to the one in the latest version and the same thing is still occuring. Any new orders coming in are not seen in the admin.

    Have the same problem, sort of. All my orders are "pending" and any new order is listed under the same customer with the same invoice #, date and time ordered. Weird.

    Customers who have ordered have the funky order history (as in nothing shows except the -4, -3, -2, -1, 0

  12. Does anyone know how to set OSC to send an "aggregate" total to Paypal?

    I am trying to use the "Easy Discount" & "Easy Coupon" contributions and the discount/coupon shows in the total at checkout but Paypal charges the full amount.

    Any ideas on how to get the discounted total to carry over to WPP?

    If this was to work out, it would be a simple way to give discount codes and even implement the use of gift certificate codes. :thumbsup:

    TIA!

    ~Mark

  13. Pay Pal has no method of recording a discount, and this is why any discount or gift voucher used has to be passed to Pay Pal as an aggregate of the order total. Until Pay Pal change their system there's nothing that can be done about this.

    No point in sending off an email if osCommerce Pay Pal IPN is set to Aggregate mode - because all you'll get is a notification of the total paid, and not an itemised account.

    However, it should be possible in the future, to rewrite the osCommerce Pay Pal IPN module so that it does not pre-save orders but returns the order details automatically to the shop, whether the customer returns from Pay Pal or not. This facility does exist, it's just that the osCommerce Pay Pal IPN is not coded to use it.

    Vger

    Thanks Vger!

    How do you set Paypal to "Aggregate"?

  14. In trying to use "Easy Coupon" & "Easy Discount" contributions with Paypal Website Payments Pro, the coupon discount shows during the checkout but doesn't get carried over to the Paypal total.

    I have searched and searched and found this as a possible solution but not sure how to troubleshoot it.

    Change checkout_process.php. The before_process of the payment modules was being called before calling the order totals modules. I don't think this should cause any side effects, but if anyone else sees a problem with this, feel free to chime in.

    In checkout_process.php, change:

    CODE

    // load the before_process function from the payment modules

    $payment_modules->before_process();

    require(DIR_WS_CLASSES . 'order_total.php');

    $order_total_modules = new order_total;

    $order_totals = $order_total_modules->process();

    to:

    CODE

    require(DIR_WS_CLASSES . 'order_total.php');

    $order_total_modules = new order_total;

    $order_totals = $order_total_modules->process();

    // load the before_process function from the payment modules

    $payment_modules->before_process();

    The only problem is that when I checkout using a credit card, I get an error:

    "(10520) The transaction was refused because the amount totals of the order do not match. Review the amounts of the transaction and resubmit."

    Any ideas on how to correct this?

    Thanks again

  16. In trying to use "Easy Coupon" & "Easy Discount" contributions with Paypal Website Payments Pro, the coupon discount shows during the checkout but doesn't get carried over to the Paypal total.

    The way I eventually got this working was to change checkout_process.php. The before_process of the payment modules was being called before calling the order totals modules. I don't think this should cause any side effects, but if anyone else sees a problem with this, feel free to chime in.

    to:

    CODE

    require(DIR_WS_CLASSES . 'order_total.php');

    $order_total_modules = new order_total;

    $order_totals = $order_total_modules->process();

    // load the before_process function from the payment modules

    $payment_modules->before_process();

    I tried the above solution but when I checkout using a credit card, I get an error:

    "(10520) The transaction was refused because the amount totals of the order do not match. Review the amounts of the transaction and resubmit."

    Any ideas on how to correct this?

    If I take this code out and change to the "aggregate" method for Paypal, will this be corrected?

    If so, how do I change to aggregate method?

    Thanks for looking!
