  1. Hello, I am trying to set up the Authorize.net SIM option, to utilize their gateway with my Osc shop. After payment is submitted via the gateway, the customer is returned to my checkout_process.php page but gets the dreaded error: "There has been an processing error with your credit card. The credit card transaction could not be verified with this order. Please try again and if problem persist, please try another payment method." This seems to be a common error around these parts. I read through all of the other posts, and am clear on all configuration settings except for the MD5 Hash setting. I added a value to my Authorize.net settings, a word such as 'truck'. I then copied the exact text 'truck' and pasted it to my Osc-side Authorize.net payment module settings. After several attempts, it occurred to me that the value 'truck' might need to be converted to an MD5-Hash, so I found a website which converted it for me. I then ended up with the following value: a9cb430b8b1d44c3476234ef3f779442 I pasted the above into my Osc Authorize.net payment module side, but still ended up getting the same error during checkout. Can someone point me in the right direction? Am I at least correct in how the MD5-Hash value needs to handled? Thanks.

I'm running into the same issue. How did you get it working? Thanks.

    Error processing credit card

Hello, I am having the exact same issue! Someone please advise. Thanks.
  4. I currently have a credit card merchant account, and have been accepting cards on my Osc shop. Even though I am not storing card numbers, I am having trouble getting PCI compliant and am seeking alternate solutions. Should I drop my merchant account and switch to accepting credit cards via the Paypal Website Payments Standard? Are there any downsides to doing this? Does it give off a less professional appearance? What about phone-in orders? Thanks in advance.

    Easy Populate & Products Attributes

Hi, I am trying to populate a new OSc store with the products from my other store. I exported files from the old store (I had to create five different ones, due to the vast quantity of products and attributes involved). I then imported each file one by one, getting successful messages each time due to adding and updating products. However, when I look at my admin products area, there are no products nor categories to be found. Interestingly, the products and attributes are listed under the 'Product Attributes' section. Also, a few products are showing as 'new products' when looking from the catalog side. I am running EP v2.76f MS2, and also have MOpics installed (but will not be using MOpics). Would someone please advise as to what might be happening? thanks.

    Easy Populate & Products Attributes

It seems the spacing is misaligned due to not having attribute data. I was thinking of forcing this to happen by filling all empty Excel cells with a space, but am unclear on how EP will interpret this. My preference would be to keep the file in a true .xls format, but I am unclear as to whether this will work. From within the Admin section, EP allows you to download the complete file in a tab-delimited format, which is how I am importing it into Excel. Looking at the easypopulate.php file, it seems possible to reconfigure alternate delimeters such as commas or semicolons. However, many of my products have long descriptions, which include commas and semicolons as well. What is the best/recommended practice in this sort of scenario?

    Easy Populate & Products Attributes

Hello, Congrats on a great contribution. I am running Easy Populate v2.76, and have a basic question. I noticed that when you save the excel file as a tab-delimited file, you lose you column organization for rows which have fewer details and attributes. For example, let's say you add an item with only the basic minimum fields filled out, and want to add attributes later. The right-side of the row is brought all the way over to the left. How would you then add attributes? I am thinking that perhaps you could paste a blank space character into each empty field, so that you can keep your columns when you import/export the file. Will this cause any issues when inserting the file via EP into your database? Thanks in advance.

    Feedmachine

Folks, Let me just say that this was one of the fastested contribs I have ever installed! Only took about 10 minutes. Many thanks to those involved in it's making. I am wondering how I can add the 'Product Model' to the feed file. Can someone please advise? Thanks.

    Feedmachine

Hi All, This sounds like an interesting mod. I need an easy way of creating my Google Base file, as my old one was rejected by Google and needs to be re-done. A few questions for you folks: 1. Is this easy to install? 2. Is v 2.13 the latest 'full' install or just an update? 3. Are there any necessary SQL changes to make, or do you just copy the three .PHP files up and tweak if needed? 4. Does the created file include the all-important URL of the product? 5. Is this compatible with SEO-URL's? Thanks in advance.
  10. Greetings, Many thanks to Dan for a simple-to-install contribution. It seems to work, but I am unclear on how to limit it's usage to just certain locales. I currently charge a flat shipping fee on my OSc catalog for customers who live in the lower 48 states. In my shipping policies section, I clearly state that International orders are handled on a case-by-case basis and require a custom shipping quote. Some time ago, I created a NY zone due to the need to charge NY State residents sales tax. What I am hoping to accomplish is to have RFQ be the only payment/shipping option for anyone NOT located in the lower 48 states of the U.S. Can someone tell me if this is possible? Thanks.

    Contribution - Excel Import 1.51

I look forward to testing out your improvements to Excel Import. I have been using this utility, and it has helped quite a bit (much better than manually entering products). However, I still need to edit each item after the import finishes, to change tax status, add options, etc...

    Contribution - Excel Import 1.51

Hello, I initially tried the "Easy Populate" contribution but ran into lots of trouble. So, I installed the Excel Import contribution, and had some decent success. I am still unclear on a few things, however. For product descriptions, I usually have a non-bulleted list similar to this: DESIGNED BY SWAT TEAMS FOR SWAT USE KEVLAR CONSTRUCTION FOR EXTREME CUT AND HEAT PROTECTION WATER AND CUT RESISTANT LEATHER PALMS REMOVABLE TRIGGER FINER ELASTICIZED WRISTS AND GAUNTLET SUPERIOR GRIP AVAILABLE IN OLIVE DRAB OR BLACK AVAILABLE IN SIZES: SM - XL When I tried pasting this sort of text into excel, it creates new rows. I suppose I need to somehow cause all of the text to go into the one cell. Do you have any suggestions on how best to do this? Another issue I ran into is that I need to give all of my products a "taxable goods" tax class to allow for sales tax when I sell to residents of my state (NY). My header file did not have that column, but the one included with the contribution did. I tried adding the same text to the right side as a new column header, but it seemed to ignore the column. Actually, it re-added the same item instead of trying to just update it. Here is the header file layout I used, which another forum member was nice enough to email me: manufacturer_name manufacturers_image categories1_name categories2_name categories3_name model_no web_pic list_price weight products_name products_description Lastly, many of my products have attributes such as color and/or size. Is there any way this contribution can accomodate adding attributes? Overall, it will simplify things for me even if I still need to add attributes and manually change the tax class. Thanks, Ray

Steve, I actually use IE on both my PC's. Is there any other way to test? One thing I just noticed while looking at my "Who's online, is that there are four "Mozilla" bots from the same IP checking out various links. Three of them have a "yes" under the session column and are checking out products, while the fourth has a "no". The one with the no is viewing "/catalog/cookie_usage.php. Is Who's online an accurate way to guage whether this is working OK or not? thanks. Ray www.specopstactical.com

hi Steve, Thanks for the quick response. I just installed your contribution a few minutes ago, by copying the spiders.txt file into my /catalog/includes DIR, and turning "prevent spider sessions" to TRUE. Is there any way that I can test to see that it is working OK? I don't want to "scare" away the spiders! thanks, Ray
