    [Contribution] Protx Direct v5 Support Thread

    Hi I need to get some information on the credit card type used following a protx transaction going through. The field cc_type in the order header is blank. Is it possible to get this field, or the protx table updated with the card type used. This is needed to help with our bank reconciliation and cash flow as amex payments are settled separately to all other cards that we process. Any guidance appreciated.

    Protx Direct v2.22

    Hi Is it possible to record the credit card type used in Protx Direct. When I download my orders into our accounting package, payments made by Amex need to go into a different merchant account to all others. I didn't see this was available in the order header. Do you know if it is allowable to do this, and if so where the appropriate point in the code is that I need to update.     Option Type Feature v1.6 (for osc 2.2 MS2)

    Hi I added a fix to this contribution "Broken quantity update after OTF" posted by dracono 16/7/07 which solves the problem of the text attributes being lost when the shopping basket quantity is updates. I have tested this and on the whole, it sorts out this problem for my installation. However, whenever the text cotains any special characters such a " the attributes enterg by the customer still get lost. Please could anyone who has installed this, test on their implementation and let mw know if they also get this problems The scenario to test is to enter some text containing for example some quotation characters e.g "Fred", and then in the shopping basket to amend the products quantity. Do you loose the text at that point? I want to rule out me having messed up my installation of the contribution Thanks Andrew

    Protx Direct v2.22

    I have just got my 1st transaction through after the Protx "All is well" announcement. Between then and now I kept getting a technical error reported, and have just found the following error meesage in the Protx table for all transactions: 3021 : The Basket format is invalid. The value was 3:Medium and Large Paw Tag:1:9.48:0.00:9.48:9.48: I have ust changed the PROTX module config so that the shopping cart details are not being passed across, and now my live account is functioning again.

    Thanks for the link; http://www.protx.com/monitorvsp.asp I had lost that and had been hanging on the phone for the last 2hours! Oh well, switch paypal back on. Can't you go and sort out PROTX Tom? you have done a quality job on the OSCOmmerce side !

    Tom many thanks. I have now got my site back on line. I noticed the following configuration option you provided in this release $disable_curl_ssl_check = false; // Set to true (no quotes) I have set this to true and orders can now get through again :thumbsup: I have no idea what this does but changed as curl/ssl was one of the things I suspected (I couldn't glean any advice from my host or protx an was getting desparate). Could you tell me what this configuration is about? As explained I lose a few hours every few months (today 8 hours). This is an outstanding contribution. I left my customers with Paypal as the only choice whilst protx direct was not working and sales certainly took a hit! The Protx Direct contribution is so much more slicker

    Protx Direct v2.22

    Could anyone help me with some pointers. I have had this contribution installed and it works perfectly (for mant months) ... but then once in a while transactions will not get through and I am unsure how to go about finding the fault. this is for a stable system with no changes being made. Today fir about th last 6 hours, anyone trying to pay simply gets the followng message on the payment screen "- Your credit card could not be authorized for this reason. Please correct any information and try again or contact us for further assistance.". The card details are all valid,and I have pushed a couple of sales through using VSP Terminal just to make sure it was not an issue with the card. I have also tried to make a purchase through Protx Direct with my own ard and I get the same error. There are no invalid / failed transactions showing up in Protx admin so I believe there is some kind of communication error - but how I can identify this, and at which end the problem lies, I have no idea. This has happended a couple of times over the past few months, and just seemed to resolve itself after a few hours. Can anyone provide some guidance / advice on tests that can be performed to help debug this. Thanks, Andrew

    FAQDesk version 1.0 --- Released

    Hi I tried adding this contrib on an MS2.2. The admin side is fine, but on the cataolgue side, when I clickon the FAQ, I am getting an error: Fatal error: Cannot redeclare tep_db_connect() (previously declared in /home2/collarsa/public_html/includes/functions/database.php:13) in /home2/collarsa/public_html/includes/functions/database.php on line 13 I have been through the installation again - not sure what I have done or why its not working. Grateful for any ideas? Thanks

    Payment module based on currency of order?

    Hi I am currently changing my single currency store to a multi currency site. offering 3 currencies. Currently all payments are made through Protx Direct to my merchant account in GBP ? When I offer additional currencies to my store, I will use Paypal IPN. I can restrict the modules offered to a customer based on payment zone e.g. Protx and Paypal for UK customers, Paypal only for Eropean and american customers I would prefer it if the payment module was only offered based on the currency selected in the order so that: customer ordering in GBP can have Protx or Paypal customer ordering in EUR or USD can pay by Paypal only. I hjust wondered if anyone has done something similar to this, or how difficult it would be to change the modules Thanks

    Option Type Feature v1.6 (for osc 2.2 MS2)

    I too had this problem. I had an earlier 2.2MS2 installation and updated that site with the last release update. Within that update (and included in your release) was a bug fix:"Adding Non-Existing Products To Cart" http://www.oscommerce.com/community/bugs,1617. Something in this causes the problems. I am not a php programmer so I ended up backing out that bug fix and the problem was eliminated - same product can be added with different attributes. I think the issue is that Option Type Feature, excellent as the contribution is, has not been maintained. Could you let me know if you can enter a product with an apostrophe as a text entry and see if you can then remove the item from your cart. This is a big problem on my live site

    Hi I have 1.71 Option Type Feature installed and make use of Text attributes. Everyhing is working well, except when a customer uses an apostrophe in the entered text - e.g enter the text " I'm chipped" in product http://www.collarsandtags.co.uk/k9-top-dog...-tag-p-156.html of a live site I have. This product can not know be removed from the customers basket. Does anybody have a solution to the problem. I understand the apostrophe in somportant in php but have no idea on a solution. Many customers compain about this problem and I have to resolve by deleting items in mysql. Thanks in advance for any guidance.

    Problems with 1.71 after MS2.2 Update

    This feature is currently working on my site, e.g. http://www.collarsandtags.co.uk/aluminium-...arge-p-146.html. I have still not got around to redoing the bug fixe I had to back out. My main problem at the moment (which I suspect is related to option type feature) is that occassionally a customer will email to say they can't remove products from their cart. I can't seem to replicate the error.
