are you looking on the "Products Attributes" admin page, or the product edit page?  If it is installed correctly, when you open an existing product for edit, a gray box should appear just below the product pricing.

Abstract   The purpose of this set of bash scripts is to help automate setting permissions on osCommerce shops and in addition, provide a convenient way to install batches of updates from a zip file.   Folks that live in rural areas that rely on slow or high latency internet connections may find the zip installer a convenient way to update their shop. Instead of all the overhead of single file checks and uploads, you can upload a zip package then install it with proper permission settings using these scripts. If you prefer your shop locked down, the script will unlock it, install the update, and lock it down again. It's fast and convenient.   There are three sets of bash scripts included. Two sets are developed for a server admin to be run from a root account. The other set is designed to be used by a shop owner from an account level shell login.   From the shop owners perspective, the scripts where designed to take the guess work out of setting the permissions on an osCommerce shop. From the server admin's perspective, it's a fast convenient way to script updates and settings changes on one or multiple shops on a server.   Features  The "Extended" permissions level conforms with the osCommerce 2.3 Security Directory Permissions check. Quickly and easily set 3 different file and directory permissions levels on your shop. Quickly and easily lock and unlock the configure.php files. Easy to customize to fit your specific shop's needs. Conveniently install shop updates from an uploaded zip file and follow-up with setting the correct permissions.   Get them here: http://addons.oscommerce.com/info/9115

you need to take a close look at install instructions step #6 of the latest file set I uploaded. If you don't understand how to set up that file, please ask your host to assist you with that.

you're looking for this section of the settings

//**** Size of products_model in products table **** // set this to the size of your model number field in the db. We check to make // sure all models are no longer than this value. this prevents the database from // getting fubared. Just making this number bigger won't help your database! They must match! // If you increase the Model Number size, you must increase the size of the field // in the database. Use a SQL tool like phpMyAdmin (see your host) and change the // "products_model" field of the "products" table in your osCommerce Database. define ('EP_MODEL_NUMBER_SIZE', 12); // default is 12

it's going to be the exact same changes that were as to the products_reviews.php. If you compare the products_reviews.php package file with the stock RC2a file, the changes should be fairly obvious. couple of additions to the fields list in the query, and replace the popup code.

simply because you don't get a reply doesn't mean support has ceased. Support doesn't necessarily constitute writing new functionality for each person that asks. This forum is all volunteer. I will add this to the suggestions for when I have further time to work on the project. In the meantime, feel free to investigate the solution yourself, and post your suggestion.

you're really not suppose to bump your post. forum rules suggest offering additional information if you wish to revisit a post.

easy on bumping your post, not allowed.

I'm able to open that file fine in Excel XP.

when you download, are you opening the file directly from the download window, or saving it to the computer and opening it after?

With that excel version you may try to open excel first, import the file from the Data menu (XP). It's more of a pain that way, but you have more control as sometimes needed with dates (manually specify text format for those columns so excel doesn't change the format).

as the documentation says: This is easy to do. Simply FTP all or a portion of your import file to the root of your shop's hosting space (remember, no spaces in the file name. Then post a link to the file like this: http://www.myshop.com/shop/mycsv.csv. After someone has responded, you can remove it.

if it is sensitive, you can PM me the link.

there was an "unknown images" contribution in the versions previous to 2.76i. in 2.76i it was replaced by an known "ultra pics". If you look back to version 2.76h you might find the one you need. You'll have to understand how the big image changes you database to confirm that code is right. always backup.

    > Modified version of Big Images 1.25 (replaces the pop-up images)
EP won't import the big image name for you, base image should be fine.

    > Header Tags SEO (not sure which version anymore)
Partial support, supports the product fields

    > Image Subdirectories 2.0
    shouldn't matter

    > More Category Boxes (not sure of version)
    don't know

    > Product Short Description (not sure of version - this one or this one)
should be able to add the nec. field in the products_description table setup in EP

    > Optional Related Products 4
    no support

    > Modified version of Show Sold Out Items 1.1
    no support

    > Probably no effect - Ultimate SEO URLs 2.1d Original Updated
    no affect

I have not heard of any off-line version to assist in product entry, but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist, try google.

I think most folks work smaller sections at a time. ready 20 products in a spreadsheet, copying in the stray data before uploading.

Just as there are several variations of EP, there are now several variations of more pics. If you can be a little more specific about which more pics you are using, I may be able to offer some info.

You need to create the vendor first in the osC admin. then in the vendor column of the import, simply list the name you gave the vendor in the admin.

sorry, strike that, you can't in v2.76g, the first version that I produced that supports it is v2.76i.
