    [contribution] Super Download Store

Oh my god. Very sorry! I was in a very big hurry at the time i was checking htings out and typing. I was saying temp folder the whole time and I meant to say download folder. The download folder does come in the OSC package with that same HTaccess file you noted above and mine was missing somehow. Actually, now I think I remember deleting it a while ago for some reason or another. The issue is resolved. Thank you, once again, for your time, AlexStudio!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi, AlexStudio. Thanks for replying. I did install OSC MS2.2 properly. And if you notice in the install files, it does not contain a /catalog/temp folder. You have to create that yourself. Check the install files for yourself... http://www.oscommerce.com/redirect.php/go,32 Therefore, there is no .htaccess file since there is not temp folder to begin with. You can install it properly or improperly all day long, but the end result is that you will never get a /catalog/temp folder or the .htaccess file within it. You have to create those yourself. As for the /catalog/pub folder, it does contain an .htaccess file, but it's contents are very different than what you posted above. The contents of it are as follows... Options +FollowSymLinks -Indexes Now, I will try creating an .htaccess file for the catalog/temp folder with the lines you provided above, however, not sure if that will work seeing how that will require a password to access the folder. Not sure that will work for customers who have to download products they purchased, but I will try it. Thanks. I'll let you know if it works out or not.

AlexStudio, This problem has nothing to do specifically with your contrib (I guess), but it's a serious problem with using OSC to sell digital downloads (with or without your contrib) as anyone can just steal your products, easily. I posted about it here. I would for you to post to that thread and to hear your thoughts on it, especially if you have a fix... http://forums.oscommerce.com/index.php?showtopic=268048 People on this thread would do well to check my thread out.

Thanks for the quick reply. I think I'm going to have to look into using a different cart for this project. Surely there must be a shopping cart out there that takes into consideration this problem. I could be wrong, though :'(

    [contribution] Super Download Store

Hi, I just got done skimming all 18 pages of this thread  and my question has not come up, I don't think. If it has, please forgive me. I'll have to go back and reskim the thread. My question is about bulk uploading or at least faster setup of downloads for products. You see, I am setting up a store where all the products will be digital downloads. I have 2,000+ products to upload to the store. Currently I have Linda McGrath's Downloads Controller contribution installed. The problem with that contributions is that you have to go in and type in the file name for each and every product listing. With 2,000+ products, that will take forever. As far as I can see, there is no way to do a bulk upload or at least do things quicker. I also have the Easy Populate contribution and there is no way to do it include downloads through easy populate <_< So I guess, simply put, does you contrib, Super Download Store, offer a way to more quickly upload the download file name for each product or do I still have to go through one-by-one and type in each products file name? Thanks!
  6. Another problem I found that I did not see mentioned here is that any links you create in the HTML area doe snot contain the session ID therefoer any customers that click on these links will lose their shopping cart contents and also be logged out if they are logged in. Any solutions?
  7. Hi, My only problem with this contrib is this... I am using shared SSL. My shared SSL url is in the following format...https://securedomain.com/~username The problem is that any images inserted using the WYSIWYG area will not show in SSL mosde on th e actual page. The reson for this is becaus when it's referring ot the image in SSL mode, it is referring to https://securedomain.com/catalog/images/image.gif but it should be referencing https://securedomain.com/~username/catalog/images/image.gif So it's not inserting the "/~username" part required so the images show up as broken since the path is wrong. Anyone have a fix to this? It appears that MaxiDVD has abandoned the forums altogether since 2003 and the site in his profile is not longer in existence. I hope someone else can help.
  8. Hi, I have scanned all 17 pages of this thread and I could not find anyone who posted my same problem. Maybe I missed it, but I don; thtink so. I have been using this mod for a while now with no problems and I love it. THANKS! However, I was using it on a store i had hosted on a unix server using HSPHERE as the control panel. Now I moved the store to a different unix host that uses CPanel. (and in case it matters, it is a reseller account for which I have set up my own shared SSL so that I can use one cert on multiple sites - my hosts shared SSL does not work properly so I jsut set up my own :P ). The problem I have now and not before is that any pictures I implement in mainpage.php, bottompage.php, define_header.php or whatever, the images do not load on SSL pages in my store. They just show as the red Xed boxes in IE and do not show anything in FF. I never has this poblem before. Can anyone here help me to diagnose this problem. I'm totally clueless at this point.
  9. The same thing happens to me in IE 6. I don't know what the problem is but I don't worry about it as I can just scroll over to see the rest of it. As as side note, I think OSC was built for IE because none of my stores look as they should in Netscape (latest version), Nescape, 4.7, or Mozilla.
  10. I tried many things like using a coma, semi-colon, etc to separate multiple IPs within the IP feild in the admin section but nothing seems to work. I amguessing if I wanted it to sork like that there needs to be a code change. Any suggestions would be great.
  11. Does anyone know if there is a way to specify more than one IP address to exclude from the tracking results view?
  12. Thanks Mibble but I have checked, rechecked, and re-=rechecked my codes. I have not changed anything from what the Readme for the contrib tells me.
  13. Hello, I installed the UPS Choice 1.8 contrib. All seemed very simple and easy to install. In fact, the admin side of the module seems to be working properly. However, on the catalog side I am getting errors. The first is a parse error which is at the very top of my store on every page. The error is... Parse error: parse error in /hsphere/local/home/myusername/mysite.com/shop/includes/functions/general.php on line 1363 Line 1363 in my general.php file is one of the lines that the contrib readme told me to add. Here is the the whole code that the readme tells you to install in the general.php file (line 1363 is red)... ================================= // Alias function for array of configuration values in the Administration Tool function tep_cfg_select_multioption($select_array, $key_value, $key = '') { for ($i=0; $i<sizeof($select_array); $i++) { $name = (($key) ? 'configuration[' . $key . '][]' : 'configuration_value'); $string .= '<br><input type="checkbox" name="' . $name . '" value="' . $select_array[$i] . '"'; $key_values = explode( ", ", $key_value); if ( in_array($select_array[$i], $key_values) ) $string .= 'CHECKED'; $string .= '> ' . $select_array[$i]; } return $string; } // ================================= Now for the second error. It is a fatal error which is shown on shopping_cart.php page underneath the cart contents display. The fatal error reads... Fatal error: Call to undefined function: tep_get_configuration_key_value() in /hsphere/local/home/cxm322/surpluscitytools.com/shop/includes/classes/shipping.php on line 35 Here my line 35... if (tep_get_configuration_key_value('MODULE_SHIPPING_FREESHIPPER_STATUS') and $cart->show_weight()==0) { As you may have noticed, this line has nothing to do with the UPS choice contrib but rather has to do with the WebMakersCorner Free Shipping Contrib (yes, I have that contrib installed as well). Finally for the 3rd error. It is also a fatal error but this one is on the checkout_shipping.php page... Fatal error: Call to undefined function: tep_get_configuration_key_value() in /hsphere/local/home/cxm322/surpluscitytools.com/shop/checkout_shipping.php on line 20 My line 20 in my /shop/checkout_shipping.php file is... if (tep_get_configuration_key_value('MODULE_SHIPPING_FREESHIPPER_STATUS') and $cart->show_weight()!=0) { Again, this line is for the WebMakersCorner Free Shipping Contrib, not the UPS choice contrib. I have been working on this for 4 days now and I am very disappointed as I have made no progress in solving this problem at all. I appreciate andy help any of you can give me on this. Thank you.

    Can't download any contributions

I turned off my firewall and the same thing happens. By the way, I am using IE6. So I tried mozilla and it works fine, so I guess I will have to remember not to use IE to download contribs. Still, if anyone might have the solution to my problem, it would be great to hear about it. Things like this bug the heck outta me. I know I just need to use a different browser and I'm fine but it's just the fact that something isn't right and that gets me. Thanks, Mibble and thanks to anyone else in advance who may have the solution.
