  1. Wow that was quick! I never expected a response so quickly...
  2. Figured out how to uninstall. Again, grateful for my learning, what would need to change to make it work without filenames.php Peter
  3. Hi, With BS edge, there is no filename.php file. Additionally, I have the ultimate SEO urls as updated by @@piernas installed. Some feedback: it was not clear to me before downloading this add-on what the required installs are for it to work. If you have any ideas about how to make it work the above considered I would be grateful. Otherwise, is there an easy way to uninstall it, or do I need to manually remove all the database entries. Peter
  4. Hi, For anyone that has installed the (very useful) related contribution by @@LeeFoster (http://addons.oscommerce.com/info/9531) and have noticed your server logs displaying a File Not Found error continuously (in my case twice a minute) for public_html/ext/modules/content/header/store_search/content_searches.min.js, the solution is to download the original search contribution by @Gergley and install that missing file. I noticed this by chance when checking my server logs. Peter
  5. @@piernas No worries, I have it on file cache option and it is working perfectly. Thank you for an exceptional add on. Peter
  6. Quick update, Quick update, Reinstalling my stores database allowed me to get back in to the SE05 area and quickly change the cache method. Only 'file' works as a cache option. 1. Selecting mysql results in error messages at bottom of my page displaying: Warning: mysqli_error() expects parameter 1 to be mysqli, null given in /home/.../public_html/includes/functions/database.php on line 50 INSERT INTO `usu_cache` (cache_name, cache_data, cache_date) VALUES ('', '', '2017-01-29 18:20:28') [TEP STOP] - 2. Alternatively, selecting the memcache option returns an error saying the function was not found: Fatal error: Class 'Memcache' not found in /home/.../public_html/includes/modules/ultimate_seo_urls5/cache_system/memcache.php on line 2 Aside from that, it appears to be working, will report back if there are any other issues. Is there any material disadvantage to using file cache as opposed to the other options? Thanks, Peter
  7. @@piernas Hi, I have just tried to install and experienced the same error as the other users have recently posted: Warning: Failed: Unable to open database: unable to open database file in /home/anc10699/public_html/includes/modules/ultimate_seo_urls5/cache_system/sqlite.php on line 103 Fatal error: Call to a member function query() on null in /home/anc10699/public_html/includes/modules/ultimate_seo_urls5/cache_system/sqlite.php on line 196 I have bootstrap edge and PHP 5.6.14. I do not believe the server my site is hosted on has sqlite. I don't know what sqlite is but ran a test I found on the internet to test if it is installed and it confirmed it wasn't. I note your suggestion to the prevoius poster that they could change the method for cache in configuration. Problem is, accessing the the SEO5 menu area in admin results in the same error displaying and no options can be selected. Is there any other way to change the method for cache? e.g. modfiy the setting in the database directly? Peter
  8. @@BrockleyJohn No worries and thank you very much for the suggestion. I've reinstalled the header tags add on from the link you supplied and it seems to be working now :D Thanks again to everyone for their patience in working through the various issue with me. I have certainly learned a lot. Peter
  9. @@kymation Hi Jim, I haven't modified the stock installation of the front page add on so the front page new products and categories images modules are already specifying the "equal-height" class for the containers. Per my question a little earlier do you know where the "equal-height" class is actually defined. I have been unable to find it in the default installation of bootstrap EDGE or GOLD. It is not in the custom.css or the bootstrap.css files that I can see. The custom.css file for the 'equal heights div' module in the link supplied earlier also did not seem to have this class defined. It's a really super Add On by the way. It should be default in osCommerce. Peter
  10. @@BrockleyJohn Unequal heights I appreciate the suggestion. I did a file compare and my custom.css already matches that one exactly and I've made no relevant overrides in user.css. I installed the equal height divs by creating the files in the link you gave me and activated it in Admin and it doesn't do anything. Incidentally I do not understand why it is not included in the EDGE master file for download as I assumed the link supplied on github to the EDGE download file was the up to date version. I even put the divs class to listgroup as suggested and made no difference. Therefore any additional suggestions on this issue would be appreciated. Unequal widths In the meantime, I think I have resolved the issues of varying widths when the page is seen through e.g .an iphone. Very simple solution - I added col-xs-12 to the div class for the new products columns. I don't know why that was necessary but it works. I should have thought of that earlier. Thanks if anyone has continued patience to help point me in the right direction on the above... Peter
  11. @@kymation Hi Jim, Thanks for the speedy response, 1. I am using the latest edge. The distribution package I downloaded did not contain any Equal Heights header tag module (installed or otherwise)? Could you point me towards where I could find it? I've searched the distribution package as well as the modules (installed or otherwise) in Admin. 2. This issue of varying border widths for the new products module presents on every browser which I have tested (Chrome, Safari, Internet Explorer) as well as every iPhone 5/6 I have tested it on (friends and family). It occurs even if categories images is disabled and only new products appears. Using the mobile phone emulators on Google Chrome or the www.mobilephoneemulator.com website also replicates the same issue. It appears that the border widths of new products are being set by the length (width) of the product title. If they are long titles they push out to the maximum border, if they are shorter titles the border widths become shorter. Does this help narrow down the potential cause? Peter
  12. @@kymation Hi, There appears to be a newer version of Safari. I'll install on work computer and check tomorrow and report back. A couple of related issues if you don't mind on which I would be grateful for your guidance - if you could just point me in the right direction. 1. The front page categories and front page product 'boxes' are not equal heights for some reason. I see there is a div class="clear thumbnail equal-height" in cm_fp_categories_images.php and similar in the cm_fp_new_products.php. Where is "equal-height" defined in CSS? I couldn't find it defined anywhere in the bootstrap or oscommerce css files, perhaps that is the issue? 2. Small issue - when viewing on a phone or smaller screen, the new product 'boxes' themselves vary in width based on their content and do not stretch out the full width of the column like categories. Both the categories and new product seem structured almost verbatim. The columns of each are also set to the same size (sm-6, md-4). Any reason why when the new products collapses it has a varying width? It would look much nicer on a phone if the right hand borders lined up. Thanks, Peter
  13. Hi, I have the bootstrap version of front page module installed. It works perfectly on Chrome, Internet Explorer and Firefox showing 3 categories / 3 new products per row. However on Safari, both the new products and category images are all squashed onto one row, rather than falling onto separate rows. Has this been experienced by anyone else and if so is there a workaround? Link to site in case it is peculiar to the computers I have tested it on: www.ancientcointraders.com Regards, Peter
  14. Thank you so much! That is really helpful, I've made all the changes now and it works beautifully. Excellent Ad On. Thanks again. Peter
  15. Hi Jim, I had previously attempted to install the Modular Front Page addon with no luck. I've tried again several times... The changes to the index.php are not working for me. I've compared side by side and I can't see anything I've done wrong. REplacing the index.php with the one supplied in the add on also does not work... Any chance you could point me in the right direction or where I've gone wrong? Here is the error message: Warning: include(DIR_WS_MODULEScontent/front_page/templates/cm_fp_title.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/.../public_html/includes/modules/content/front_page/cm_fp_title.php on line 40 Warning: include(DIR_WS_MODULEScontent/front_page/templates/cm_fp_title.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/.../public_html/includes/modules/content/front_page/cm_fp_title.php on line 40 Warning: include(): Failed opening 'DIR_WS_MODULEScontent/front_page/templates/cm_fp_title.php' for inclusion (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/.../public_html/includes/modules/content/front_page/cm_fp_title.php on line 40 Here is the bottom section of index.php where I have added the modular front page code (replacing everything in between) per the instructions: <?php } else { // default page // Start Modular Front Page ?> <div class="row"> <?php echo $oscTemplate->getContent('front_page'); ?> </div> <?php // End Modular Front Page } require('includes/template_bottom.php'); require('includes/application_bottom.php'); ?> Grateful for any assistance, Peter
  16. Hi there, It's been about 10 years since I last posted on this forum. I've recently installed 2.3.4 BS Edge and I must say that I'm impressed. I love the responsive design. It's miles ahead of the old 2.2. version. Before posting, I've searched the forums and add-ons as best I could and apologise if this question is already covered. I want to display categories on my front page with images. I can't find an add on for the responsive version of 2.3.4. There is an add on (front page) which works for the non-responsive version. However the responsive install of this did not appear to have modules relating to categories on the front page. Can someone point me in the right direction or give me tips on how I can achieve this manually? For instance, if there is no addon, is there an easy way to manually put in the categories in say the main text section of the website without breaking the responsive design? Thanks for any help, Peter

Hi a little more information is necessary. Which paypal contribution are you using? Peter
  19. Thanks again Jack for taking the time to post, I appreciate. The other modules are fine,. A fellow forum member let me know that I'll have to make some changes in the IPN.php file. If I figure it out, I'll post it somewhere. Regards, Peter
  20. Which contribution? That would help, lol. --Peter
  21. I just tried Paypal_Shopping_Cart_IPN on a fresh install, and the order email is not being sent out. If anyone knows how to fix this (other than manually emailing invoices to non-paying buyers), please let me know. Regards, Peter Piliouras
  22. Strange, Just did a fresh install on a different server and tried oscommerce_paypal_ipn v 1.1, and the test customer still doesn't get a confirmation of order email if they drop out of paypal without paying. I'm going to try the other paypal contribution (Paypal_Shopping_Cart_IPN) and see what happens... --Peter
  23. The one on the main contribution page under Top Downloads is the most popular... --Peter
  24. Thanks for your reply Jack. Unfortunately, I am using the IPN payment module. I can reinstall it I suppose. If anyone has time to answer: which paypal ipn contribution should I install, there seems to be more than one... --Peter
