  1. I'm looking for a simple contribution - if one exists - That will provide a discount based on the Customer's Order Total - Ex - Any customer purchasing $300 + will receive a 10% discount. I've looked at easy-discount but I'm not sure this is the best solution. I would appreciate any suggestions. :) Thanks in advance

    Different ways to show listings

Greg, It seems there is a contribution that will set the products in multiple columns. There's just a setting for this in Zen Cart and I think it was adopted by an exisitng osc contrib. I'm working on a new layout for an existing osc site today and I'll keep an eye out as I go through the contributions and drop you a note if I find it, or you could search there yourself and see if you find what you are looking for.
  3. Please excuse me if this has been answered, but I've throughly searched the threads here and not found anything. I'm not familiar with STS, but have inherited a site that has it installed, so I'm "reverse" engineering here a bit. I need to install the dynamic site map on this site, and I'm really not sure what I will need to do to make it work to pull in the existing template. There is only one template, none of the other displays have been changed. I also want to install extra pages, but I don't want to install the actual contribution for that, just set up the pages using the method the original privacy docs.. etc was created. Any pointers here would be of great help. I'm reading through the docs, but I'm not really sure what I need to do here to pull the layout into the new site map and the extra pages. Thanks in advance
  4. I'm trying to pull two different feeds from easypopulate, one standard ep d/l and a froogle d/l. I don't want the products where the status = 0 to be included. I've looked at the configuration and I've found global $active, $inactive, $zero_qty_inactive, $deleteit; $active = 'Active'; $inactive = 'Inactive'; //$deleteit = 'Delete'; // not functional yet $zero_qty_inactive = true; With that said, I've tried a couple of different things to get a d/l to exclude the inactive products but it's not working. I'm sure it's a simple setting, but I'm just not figuring it out here. Can someone let me know what I need to do to get a d/l to exclude the inactive products? I've searched the forums and didn't find a solution... hmm maybe I'm the only person in the world that doesn't get it.... I'm really stuck here and would appreciate anyone's insight as I need to get the correct feed uploaded to Froogle. Thanks

    Easypopulate not importing files

I use Xampp for my local test system. If you have it loaded on a local windows machine, go into your start menu then to "All Programs" and look for Apachefriends, there you will see a sub menu of Xampp follow that to the the additional item submenu and you will see "PHP Switch" Click that. It will change your version from 5.0 to 4.0. Do the same process to change to 5.0 if you want to test an apps ability to run in that environment. Hope that helps Ruth in AZ
  6. I'm also getting this error. I've read the notes and changed the permissions on both files to 777 and it still won't write to the files. I've gone over my entire install and all is correct. I even d/l the fix for this in the contributions and it made no difference for me. Has anyone else run into this and solved it?
  7. I'm working on a couple of sites that I "inherited" neither of them had HTC installed. The first was easy as it was using STS. The second is quickly becoming my nemesis!! I'm going a bit blind picking through the templates where to change to code for the Index.php portion. The good news is that they are using all the default osc templates for the site (not sure why BTS is here...but...) If anyone has done this and could take a look at my code thus far, I would really appreciate it. This is the code... as I've modified it so far, but I'm not feeling comfortable with my efforts. As I have far to go here, I would really appreciate someone taking a look at this and tell me if I'm on the right track... or all wet. :'( This file I'm editing is templates/osc/content/index_nested_tpl.php Thanks in advance for any assistance <td><h1> <?php /* bof catdesc for bts1a, replacing "echo HEADING_TITLE;" by "categories_heading_title" further changing code to htc_title_tag and htc_description for HTC Controller mod*/ if ( (ALLOW_CATEGORY_DESCRIPTIONS == 'true') && (tep_not_null($category['categories_htc_title_tag'])) ) { echo $category['categories_htc_title_tag']; } else { echo HEADING_TITLE; } /* eof catdesc for bts1a */ ?> </h1></td> <td class="pageHeading" align="right"><?php echo tep_image(DIR_WS_IMAGES . $category['categories_image'], $category['categories_name'], HEADING_IMAGE_WIDTH, HEADING_IMAGE_HEIGHT); ?></td> </tr> <!-- bof catdesc for bts1a, adding "categories_description" --> <?php if ( (ALLOW_CATEGORY_DESCRIPTIONS == 'true') && (tep_not_null($category['categories_htc_description'])) ) { ?> <tr> <td align="left" colspan="2"><H2><?php echo $category['categories_htc_description']; ?></H2></td> </tr> <?php } ?> <!-- eof catdesc --> The piece of HTC code I was working with is: <td><h1><?php echo $category['categories_htc_title_tag']; ?></h1></td> <td class="pageHeading" align="right"><?php echo tep_image(DIR_WS_IMAGES . $category['categories_image'], $category['categories_name'], HEADING_IMAGE_WIDTH, HEADING_IMAGE_HEIGHT); ?></td> </tr> <?php if (tep_not_null($category['categories_htc_description'])) { ?> <tr> <td><?php echo tep_draw_separator('pixel_trans.gif', '100%', '10'); ?></td> </tr> <tr> <td><h2><?php echo $category['categories_htc_description']; ?></h2></td> </tr> <?php } ?>

Using the header tag controller with STS

Before I got your post, I installed 2.5.2, at the time I did not see a complete version with db files for 2.5.4(I thought I d/l them all but I guess I missed the right one). Nevertheless, I've read the update and see the changes required to update, however before I do that, I would like to get the version I have installed working. I have no error messages and have installed the admin portion, which seems to be working correctly. I verified that by checking the english/header_tags.php and I can see the data that I input via the admin did in fact write to that file, so that seems to be good to go. I also ran the fill_tags.php and it says it was successful. Now, when you view my source code, none of these changes are reflected on any of the pages. My understanding is that I do not need to modify the header info in each file in order for the changes to each of the meta tag info to happen on each page. I did, modify the application_top and it did require me to make the modification of "Require Once" vs. "Require" on the code as I got error messages until I did that. This site was not built by me so I've had to investigate exactly what the previous developer did in regards to the STS template. All he did was create one basic master template which sits in the includes directory as sts_template.html, otherwise all the standard osc templates are being pulled in. I even tried adding the webmakers code to the header on that file, and merely had that entire piece of code show up in the source, so I defaulted back to the header info created within the html file when it was created. I've re-read all the documentation and I'm just not sure what I have missed here. I am just unable to get the default tags I've created in the admin to show up. You can take a look and you will see that the tag showing in the source is the one created in the template itself. It does not reflect the tags I have created in the admin. The IP for the site is 65.75.149.132 Once I can get this version functioning correctly, I will go back and update to the more current version. Any insight would be much appreciated. Thanks for your kind assistance Ruth in AZ

Using the header tag controller with STS

I have recently taken over an existing Osc site with STS 2.01 installed. I am in the process of moving it to my server and wanted to get the HTC installed before I flipped the IP. When I went to the d/l's the most current version did not have the db files. In view of that fact I decided to try installing the previous version where the d/l seemed complete. I have no errors, but the tags are not there. I've run the fill_tags.php and got a successful message back, but again no tags. Per 2.01 documentation, once the db is updated and the HTC files are in place, with STS you need not modify all the pages , STS automatically grabs the tags. The site ip is 65.75.149.132. First of all, are the db files in the previous version correct for the new version? If so I will go back and replace the files and see if that helps. Otherwise, I'm not sure where to go from here as I have no error messages created by HTC. I really need to finish this today, so any insight would be greatly appreciated. Ruth in AZ

    STS Clickable Product images

I know this is an old post, but hopefully you can answer this for me. I've taken over an existing site and I've been going through trying to determine what mods have been installed and why certain things do not work properly. This is one issue I've encountered. The large image popups do not work. The person that created the site originally installed STS, version 2.01. There is only one template file, sts_template.html. I modified, per your post here sts_product_info.php but this did not fix the issue. (site can be seen at http://newsneaker.com) I see a java error in the tray below when clicking on the larger images. There is no template directory or files created other than the one I mentioned above, thus no product_info template to modify. I've not used STS in the past, so I'm trying to quickly come up to speed on this. The plan is to tear this apart as there are many issues and rebuild, but right now I'm just trying to fix broken issues. I'm wondering if it would be worth while to upgrade to the more current version of STS (in view of the fact I will be rebuilding soon), and if so would this possibly fix this issue. I've also just installed Webmaker's Header Tag Controller on my local test version and am finding issues there, but I'll post questions regarding that in a more appropriate thread. Thanks for any insight you might provide. Ruth in AZ
  11. I've started the process to install header tags controller on two sites that I've recently taken over. I d/l the latest version found in the contribution section and there seems to be somethings missing from this d/l. First of all there are no db files. In the previous version I have, which is 2.5.2 there are two folders that are not in the latest version, auto_insall and the db_files. Do I grab these folders and just use them with the updated version or can someone provide me with either a d/l link or send me the correct folders for this version? Any assistance here would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance Ruth in AZ

Update on Verisign Payflow Link Errors

I also have someone from VeriSign working on this. Funny, but he seems to think I am the only one with this problem. I am now aware of three of us, and I'm sure there must be more. We ran a test on friday on a couple files they sent me. It created a very simple puchase page that processed the sale back to our Verisign account. It then posted back all the info to a text file. Based on this, they told me they were going to see if they could figure out how to modify the osc verising code to grab the information. This has taken soooo much time and been very frustrating for my client. I'll keep you informed of any new developments. Ruth

Update on Verisign Payflow Link Errors

I found another posting regarding this issue this am. Not sure why I did not find it in my original search, but take a look and see if any of the suggestions here help you. Unfortunately they have not worked for me. Orders are still not being written to the db, however I read where a few others got it to work. http://forums.oscommerce.com/index.php?showtopic=141517&st=0

Update on Verisign Payflow Link Errors

I just received an email from VeriSign. They said to make sure our return URL is sending a "200 - ok" back to verisign after getting the data. :'( I've looked at the payment_process.php and I don't see that we send anything to VeriSign. Is there anyone that is familiar with VeriSign that can shed some light here for me?
