    Fancier Invoice & Packingslip v1.0

Nice Contribution. Just wondering if anybody has thought about sending an order confirmation/advise from admin. After changing an order (say adding or removing a product) we would like to be able to send a new copy of the order confirmation/advise to the customer. Can this be done from admin - say order.php somehow???? Can it call the email_invoice function somehow and has anybody already got something like this working???? :D

    Paypal And Delayed Captures?

I totally agree, however, if I hadn't accept the transaction, there would be not transaction fees and no need to refund - which is a lot of accounting paperwork. So is anybody out there up to the task of look at getting this feature into our PayPal contributions?

    Paypal And Delayed Captures?

Firstly, I apologise if my question has already been asked, but I have searched and couldn't find anything! Does anybody out there know if we have a contribution to allow PayPal to use its delayed capture features??? This should allow c/c payments to come to our site as pending(authorised) and then we choose to accept or void them as we see fit?? I have seen many many many contributions but I can find any that touch on this and I find it strange, because I believe everyone should check transactions thoroughly before accepting them whether Paypal has said they are ok or not!

PayPal Express Checkout IPN Payment Module

Hi Alex, I've decided to look at the zone problem a little later as I was not quite sure what you meant by diabling the ec ipn in admin. Anyway - nearly got it all hanging together how I want it except one little cosmetic thing. I was wondering if you knew the answer. I wanted to know if there is any way I can tell once I am in express_checkout.php where I have come from because I want to display a slightly different page if I have come straight from ec_shipping (meaning I have gone thru the express button to paypal and back to shipping and now to express checkout). Every field I check for differences between when I come from ec_shipping and when I come back from paypal direct seems to show the same things. As my php coding is not strong I thought I might have been missing something simple? Any help is always appreciated!

PayPal Express Checkout IPN Payment Module

Ok thats bizaar! All that work chasing the silly code last night and now I switched my zone to none and now it seems to work??? So what does the zone do and why does it need to be none? I do thank you but can't say I understand.

PayPal Express Checkout IPN Payment Module

Ok, what I was trying to do is fully test the express checkout button that I moved from your ec_shipping page to my shopping_cart page. I did as you said in your instructions but I hadn't gone back and fully checked it until last night. Then when I pressed the button, my checkout_shipping.php page displayed. I was assuming I would go straight to paypal to logon as a customer - actually hoping ... cause I haven't actually seen this in action and I assumed that is what it would do. So when it didn't, I carefully (and very painfully) checked for whereever the code transferred over to the checkout shipping page. I found it first in the ec_shipping.php code and commented it out to see it I could then get it to go further. But I still got the shipping page. So I kept going tracking every line (I used the old print_r('I am here') code). I then found pretty much the same code in checkout_payment.php. That's when I figured I had better try and find out why this update_status wasn't doing what I though it should be doing. I am assuming I must have set something up wrongly????

PayPal Express Checkout IPN Payment Module

Could you think of a reason why mine is setting the status to '0' or spaces. I am in a test environment (so no ssl) and its when I am pressing the express checkout big yellow on my shopping cart! All my testing for the paypal checkout payment screen has worked fine. I stepped through the code line by line and it is definitely occuring when it does the status_update. Any thoughts that could help would be great - I am so close to getting it all hanging together and I think your contribution is excellent.

PayPal Express Checkout IPN Payment Module

Ok, I have another question - yes probably very stupid - and probably giving away my poor php coding skills but: I seem to be falling through into wrong sections of code whenever I hit this code: $paypal_ec->update_status(); $ec_enabled = (($paypal_ec->enabled)? 1 : 0); It seems to remove or change the status from 1 to blank so when the next if statement asks if $ec_enabled !=1 it is always true. this causes me to keep displaying the checkout_shipping.php. How does this update_status() work and is it supposed to be setting the $ec_enabled field to ' '??? Appreciate your help. :'(

PayPal Express Checkout IPN Payment Module

Gee that was obvious - yet I was still blind enough to miss it - thank you. Next question while you are around - If I want to delay capture the funds - can this contribution handle that? For example, I want to accept an authorisation only and later, after we have checked the customers details and stock levels, then we want to capture the funds. We have this system working now with our VeriSign gateway and it works like a charm. So I read up on this and it all looks like paypal can handle it but I need different IPN messages?????? Or is it something else very simple I missed?? Thanking you once again in advance!

PayPal Express Checkout IPN Payment Module

Ok, I have another (probably dumb) question: I have got the contribution in fine and am now trying to start testing - but, the Sandbox user I have set up is not verified. It has a bank account and a credit card set up but as I don't get the dummy letter from paypal with some security code written on it - I cannot verify. My contact at Paypal verified our test business account no problems for me but I obviously cannot use this as I cant pay for something from my own account with my own account! I have asked our contact to verifiy this new customer account so I can test and he tells me he cannot and I dont need it - he says => Actually, just noticed the error returned. I cant verify a personal account. You really should be able to process payments without this step. Just on this point: the funding source is always transparent to you. The way PayPal approves funds for transfer goes through a number of filters and will not be apparent or made available to you through the API's or Web interface. So just having a CC attached to your personal test account is sufficient to test your integration.Cheers,Spiro. My problem is I get no further than this error message: We're sorry, but we were unable to process your payment. To maintain a high level of security, only customers with a verified PayPal account are allowed to access Express Checkout. Please either verify your account at PayPal or select an alternate payment method. So, do I need to be verified or not or am I doing something wrong. Again - any help is greatly appreciated as I don't personally use Paypal and don't know that much about it. :'(

PayPal Express Checkout IPN Payment Module

In the WPP+EC module v0.8.2 which this contrbution based on, the big yellow button is on the shopping cart page. The button was added to checkout shipping page in v0.2 of this contribution, instead of the shopping cart page, because the shopping cart page could be skipped if the customers click on the checkout link on the nav bar. It is not difficult to put that button in the shopping cart page, I didn't include that because I don't think it's necessary, and I want to keep it as simple as possible. As stated in the TOS of PayPal EC API document, the placement of the EC button should be on the first step of checkout, and not to be displayed with any other payment methods. I believe this contribution followed that TOS and no need to move the button to shopping cart page. I understand that was what was required but Melita and Spiro from Paypal in Australia have asked in our contract that it be put on the shopping cart. I tried to move your coding and made a huge mess and thought it would be easier if I just asked for a little help. I am not proficient with php coding. So the good news is you say it can be done :-) What would you suggest is the best way I go about moving it?

PayPal Express Checkout IPN Payment Module

I have installed you contribution and so far so good. Can't say much for the Sandbox though - it had me going round and round in circles trying to verify my account. Down here in Aussie land, our Paypal representative has asked that we put the big yellow Paypal button on our shopping cart page instead of a new checkout shipping page. Would this be hard to do or just impossible - what would the implications be? Could the code be put in a module that is processed when the button is submitted? Any help would be extemely welcome!!!!
