  2. Can someone please help. I backed up my database, waited a few hours, then I deactivated the usps module in admin, uploaded the update shipping module 5.2.1, ran the sql query. It did not work. So, I hit the restore the database, then replaced all the files with my backups. NOW the problem. I went to hit the Install Button on the usps module, and nothing happens.... But if I double click on the wording United States Postal Service, everything pops up like it is installed, my password, sort order, types of services within USPS that I offered. There is no button to uninstall it, so I can reinstall it. I've tried deleting the catalog/includes/modules/shipping/usps.php then uploading it again... and I still have the same problem. Could someone please tell me how to fix this?
  3. I went through each update to the usps methods, to the final 5.2.1 usps methods. I turned off the usps shipping in admin, uploaded the new updates. My sql already had set_funtion: text. I ran the sql to change the set_function to the varchar(1020). and get this error #1074 - Too big column length for column 'set_function' (max = 255). Use BLOB instead I even tried changing it to blob... and the sql query comes back with the same error message. When I look at the configuration its back to set_function: text. I'm using 2.2, and sql 4. Any suggestions or help?
  4. Can someone please help on this. All of a sudden (or that I just found out) when I use a coupon that I created in the Vouchers/Coupons, Coupon Admin, for free shipping, and use the Free Shipping "check" box, it won't let me checkout if I'm using PayPal as the payment. PayPal comes back with an error message: The link you have used to enter the PayPal system contains an incorrectly formatted item amount. I know that coupon was working on 2009 as I had a customer using it. The other coupons are working, ergo - the discount coupons for product. Just the ones using the free shipping check mark box are getting the PayPal error.
  5. What should be the correct url for the ipn.php??? Paypal states my IPN is located at: https:// www. mysite .com/catalog/ext/modules/payment/paypal_ipn/ipn.php yet when I go through my folders located on the server I have no folder with the catalog/ext/ but I do have the folder in catalog/includes/modules/payment/paypal_ipn/ipn.php . Even though the PayPal IPN history shows that all the ipns have failed, I've received an email confirmation for every order placed so far... Yet Paypal states they failed... ?
  6. I got the same email from Paypal. Anyone have any idea what the problem is?   7. I just received notification from PayPal that my IPN's sent to the https://www.mysite.com/catalog/ext/modules/payment/paypal_ipn/ipn.php are failing... I've had this site for the last 4 1/2 years, and all of a sudden I'm getting this message? Whats weird is that i don't have a folder named /ext/ its in the /includes/ can someone tell me whats going on?
  8. Hi Greg, you sound incredibly busy! Kudos to you for all your hard work and help! Just a thought, while I was trying to add a different contrib for something else, I saw references where shipping statements had been commented out, and some individual shipping thing by phpmom.com was put in its place. Those references are also on other php pages then the ones you have us work on... could that have something to do with why I cannot get 4.3.0 working... I'm not taking out the right things.. or uncommenting what should be commented?
  9. I would like to say how much I appreciated all the "help" you weren't able to provide. I tried for the final time tonight to upload your contrib to my site. I have checked, and rechecked using winmerge to verify all changes. This last time, I checked each file on 4 separate occasions before I uploaded to my website -thinking I may have missed something each time... NOPE, everything was as you showed in your download... I suppose Jesse was correct in his/her statement... SPPC is apparently the way to go.. On a final note, thank you for all the time I wasted on this contrib when it could have been better spent trying someone else's contrib -at least I learned a little more about php! Are you a help VAMPIRE... Gee lets think... nah, just a victim of arrogance... :P
  10. One other thing I want to mention, I contacted USPS to see if perhaps my password is the problem. This is the response they sent back: Apparently passwords is no longer requirded for the production server...

Hi, I've tried using it with the way you have it here, I've tried it with and with out the - (dash) and tried it with and with out the - for the 4.3.0 contrib, none of them work. 1st class intl refuses to show up. What do you think could be causing the problem? Oh and one other thing, when I'd updated to the 3.0 shipping methods, I ran did the 2.9.2 mysql thing and this is what was returned... myslq made a couple comments: Is that normal? Did I do it wrong?

  13. I know USPS made some changes to the name of services on May 12th. v3.0 uses USPS version 2 API. If you can get version 3.0 to work, you can get 4.2.x to work because there were no changes to the files. Just make sure you replace the language file with the one that comes with it.
  14. Hi Greg: Ok, second time I've tried the 4.3.0 contrib. It did not work the 1st time, gave me a parse error when trying to access the admin.. I then updated my shipping method to 3.0. This allowed domestic express to finally work. 1st class international still refuses to show up for the customer even though I have it selected in the shipping mod. I followed the instructions, unloaded usps shipping mod, uploaded the two usps.php, made the manual changes step 5, step 6 and uploaded it to the server. This time I got this error: Fatal error: Cannot redeclare tep_mod_select_option() (previously declared in /home/content/x/x/x/x/html/catalog/admin/includes/functions/general.php:759) in /home/content/x/x/x/x/html/catalog/admin/includes/functions/general.php on line 772 The error would not let me access nor log into admin. Any suggestions? I really need 1st class intl to work. Thanks in advance for any help. Silvergren
  15. Hi. I installed your contribution tax exempt. I don't appear to be getting any errors... That said, heres the problem. Types does appear in the admin, and I can edit the information. When I click on a customer to edit... there is no field for tax exempt, or however it is supposed to look like, no fields were added, they remain as they were before I installed the contrib - but under "customers" where all the customers are listed you can clearly see Organization type: at the bottom of the right hand box (the one that shows when last visted, created, logged in, etc). When I sign up as a new customer, it does not offer me tax exempt options... None of the fields changed, none were added, same goes for checking out without logging in... I used winmerge, as well as the manual instructions. I did the database before updating and adding the files. Any suggestions? Silvergren
