  1. I've been searching around for contributions that might help, but am unable to find anything specific. Hoping someone might can help. We sell automotive parts/accessories. Wheels present a continued problem for us. example: We sell wheel packages that consist of four wheels. One wheel per box. But the shipping is quoted via UPS as one box for all. So we end up losing money on the shipping, because there seems to be no way to let the UPS module know that each product ships in it's own box. In reality, the shipping module quotes a price for one box, for all four wheels and yields one price (lower) for shipping, but the product is actually shipped in four separate boxes, which costs more. Is there any contribution/module available for shipping (UPS) or suggestions to remedy this problem? Thanks!
  2. I've been searching the contributions for the past few hours with no luck. I have a store I setup quite a long time ago that uses an attribute contribution where when you add, or edit, a product, all the attributes are listed at the bottom of the product screen in the admin area. Unfortunately, I wiped all my old contributions last year without thinking and now I need to find this one. This code, part of the contribution, is from the categories.php: <!-- INSERT CODE BLOC 2, ATTRIBUTES CODE --> <!-- INSERT CODE BLOC 2, ATTRIBUTES CODE --> <tr> <td><table border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="2"> <tr valign="top"> <?php $rows = 0; $options_query = tep_db_query("select products_options_id, products_options_name from " . TABLE_PRODUCTS_OPTIONS . " where language_id = '" . $languages_id . "' order by products_options_name"); while ($options = tep_db_fetch_array($options_query)) { $values_query = tep_db_query("select pov.products_options_values_id, pov.products_options_values_name from " . TABLE_PRODUCTS_OPTIONS_VALUES . " pov, " . TABLE_PRODUCTS_OPTIONS_VALUES_TO_PRODUCTS_OPTIONS . " p2p where pov.products_options_values_id = p2p.products_options_values_id and p2p.products_options_id = '" . $options['products_options_id'] . "' and pov.language_id = '" . $languages_id . "'"); $header = false; while ($values = tep_db_fetch_array($values_query)) { $rows ++; if (!$header) { $header = true; ?> <td><table border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"> <tr class="dataTableHeadingRow"> <td class="dataTableHeadingContent" colspan="4"><?php echo $options['products_options_name']; ?></td> </tr> <tr class="dataTableHeadingRow"> <td class="dataTableHeadingContent" align="center">Option</td> <td class="dataTableHeadingContent" align="center">Prefix</td> <td class="dataTableHeadingContent" align="center">Price</td> <td class="dataTableHeadingContent" align="center">Sort Order</td> </tr> <?php } $attributes = array(); if (sizeof($HTTP_POST_VARS) > 0) { if ($HTTP_POST_VARS['option'][$rows]) { $attributes = array('products_attributes_id' => $HTTP_POST_VARS['option'][$rows], 'options_values_price' => $HTTP_POST_VARS['price'][$rows], 'attribute_sort' => $HTTP_POST_VARS['sort'][$rows], 'price_prefix' => $HTTP_POST_VARS['prefix'][$rows]); // , 'attribute_sort' => $HTTP_POST_VARS['sort'][$rows]; } } else { $attributes_query = tep_db_query("select products_attributes_id, options_values_price, price_prefix, attribute_sort from " . TABLE_PRODUCTS_ATTRIBUTES . " where products_id = '" . $pInfo->products_id . "' and options_id = '" . $options['products_options_id'] . "' and options_values_id = '" . $values['products_options_values_id'] . "'"); if (tep_db_num_rows($attributes_query) > 0) { $attributes = tep_db_fetch_array($attributes_query); } } ?> <tr class="dataTableRow"> <td class="dataTableContent"><?php echo tep_draw_checkbox_field('option[' . $rows . We are setting up a new store and I want to add this code to our new store. Does anyone recognize this? Thanks in advance! Wade

    QBI Quickbooks Import

    Hi Adam, Thanks for your continued advice. I just compared the numbers for one of the orders that gave this error. I took the total and subtracted the line items, the shipping and finally the tax. It was off by .01 cent. I suspect this is, after all, tax related and the rounding issue I've seen. I'm going to scan back through the posts to find the fix for that. Wade

    QBI Quickbooks Import

    Hi Adam, You helped me a few months ago. We got everything working on my client's system. However, he forgot about downloading new product IIF files when we had new products and subsequently, he started getting errors on importing because the new products were not in QB. So he stopped using it and went back to the old manual process. I'm here again this week and trying to get things re-installed from scratch. I'm encountering the unforgivable transaction/balance problem. This one may be different than others, as I do not believe it is tax related. We can import some orders, however, some give the transaction/balance error. So I wrote those line numbers down to investigate the orders that were causing problems. I've isolated two types of orders that were giving problems: 1) We no longer carried the product and had eliminated it from the database. However, we were importing orders from before the time we purged the product. This one makes sense. I downloaded our product database today, the product is importing from a few months back and is no longer in QB. I can live with that. 2) This one is the troubling one and I'm hoping you can help with. The second type is from when we put products on "special." For example, we offer brake caliper paint. As of today, the price is $14.99. However, a few months ago, the price was on "special" at $12.99. The order is being imported with a different price than what is in QB and this seems to be the problem we're having. Does QBI account for products that are on special? We often adjust our prices and I'm concerned that orders with pricing from our web will cause the transaction/balance error because the pricing is different in QB. Any advice you can offer?

    QBI Quickbooks Import

    Hi Adam, We've been waiting SO LONG for something like this to come around, that we are starting a new quickbooks file for our company. Basically just not using the old one anymore, but keeping on hand if we need to go back and reference it. So here's the situation. We've setup a new QB file and used Retail as the store type. But we are up against the invoice numbering issue. I've read through the posts and it seems nothing can be done about it. We do online and phone sales. We do so much in sales, that manually numbering invoices is troublesome. So I read that we can use a sales receipt instead, which is fine. But we can't seem to get a grasp on this. We import orders, we click on "invoices" and there they are. But how do we switch from using an invoice to using a sales receipt? And what do we need to do in the QBI Configuration to tell it to export our orders as sales receipt types, instead of invoices? I can see where we create a new sales receipt, but not where we would click on "sales receipt" in quickbooks, instead of "invoices" to see our sales. Keeping in mind, we have a new store file and are more than happy to adjust it however necessary. Thanks for any suggestions/help. We've been waiting for a solution like this for a very long time!

    QBI Quickbooks Import

    Just started researching your tool yesterday. Will products as services be supported in this next release? I'm trying to set this up for a customer and after a day of not being able to get products in the drop lists, have read through the thread and note that products setup as services are not supported yet.
  7. This is an old post, but I had this same problem and wanted to post a solution that might help others. Home Delivery is residential and the max weight is 70 lbs. Ground service is higher, but you have to pass in a company name since it is business based shipping. Basically, if your product is greater than 70 pounds (lbs) and there is no company name in their user profile, then it will not use ground shipping at all. This left our customers ordering products over 70 lbs with only the air based options, which sent many running off to competitors. To fix this, here's what I did: open fedex1.php At about line 52, you should see: // class methods function quote($method = '') { global $shipping_weight, $shipping_num_boxes, $cart, $order; Just under this, I inserted: //added to account for ground shipping on orders greater than 70 lbs. Home delivery cuts off at the 70 lb weight mark //ground service requires a company name, so we just make it their first/last name. if ($shipping_weight > 70 && $order->delivery['company'] == '') { $order->delivery['company'] = $order->customer['firstname'] . ' ' . $order->customer['lastname']; } // end ground shipping modify Now, if my customer does not use a company name, and he orders something over 70 lbs, they will have the ground service option by making their first/last name the company name. Hopefully this will help others that runs into the same problem.

    NIMMIT SEF Support thread

    I have the contribution working very well. Very easy to install/setup. I do not use reviews myself, so it's not an issue. I had to do some renaming of a few products that I used the "&" symbol in, as it didn't like those. Nothing major though. One thing I'd like to fix...I have pages indexed in google with the old url, like: /product_info.php?products_id=58 If I click on this link from the google listing to go to my site, it does not convert the page url. Instead, it shows up as: /product_info.php?products_id=58 as opposed to it's re-written title. However, from INSIDE my site, they all show with the rewritten page title. Only when I'm coming from a link outside of the site, like from google. Any way to account for and rewrite these? I'd prefer to simply do a permanent redirection, so I can clean all the old urls out.

    QuickBooks Contrib

    If you are having troubles with the TAX version, like I and so many others have, with it crashing on import, try this version from Justin: http://diyreef.com/qb_iif_taxv_test.zip It's mentioned a few pages back. I installed the NOTAX version first, just to get the feel of it. My store is set to TAX so it pompted a message box on importing (and rightfully so, I have TAX enabled). I next tried the NO TAX version. It's just a matter of swapping the qb_iif_sale.php file. When I tried to import the IIF file, it crashed. I was not entirely familiar with some of the settings, like class name, etc. We just use QB in it's simplest form. I next tried the file in, http://diyreef.com/qb_iif_taxv_test.zip This one was easier to understand, not as many settings. It does import, and did work. One thing I've noticed is that weights are not stored, so when we go to ship via FEDEX, we have to recalc weight for the shipping. Any suggestions on how to overcome this? Trying to automate as much as possible! Is there weight field(s) in QB for a product, that can be transferred to FedEx shipping? I'm quite impressed. I had to read a good deal, and there are some updates/files scattered through the various posts. But once I got a good working version, it was very easy to setup/work with. Thanks for the contribution and the hard efforts you all have put in this. Once can look at the code and easily see there is a LOT of hard work in this!
  10. ok, nevermind. i forgot about product_info.php. since i've already modified mine, i had to use Beyond Compare. Nice utility, btw, makes things a lot less hassle free!
  11. Hi Linda, I'm not understanding the sort order. I have a product with two options: Manifold Cover - Select - Manifold Cover ($289.95) Fuel Rail Covers - Select - 97-98 Fuel Rail Covers - 99-03 Fuel Rail Covers By default, i want "Select" to be the default item listed in each of the options. I go in to edit the product, i see the "Active Attributes" for this product, and I give sort order (for Fuel Rail Covers): 1 2 3 (1 in Select, 2 for 97..., 3 for 99...) I've tried setting all three to 1, all three to 0, and as 1 2 3, but it's not sorting in the drop box. Can you stear me in the right direction?
  12. Hi Linda, I've been searching most of the day for a mod so that I can add weight to product attributes to a product. I've come across this contribution and also noted the new one "enhanced" you are working on. Just want to make sure this version will work with the snapshop version 4/5/2003. Really all I need, is the ability to add weight to product attributes only, nothing fancy, so I don't want to build Shea Stadium just to sell a hotdog, if you know what I mean. Thanks for any help or other suggestions!
  13. Thanks much Josh :!:
  14. Hello, i'm an osCommerce virgin. About to convert my customer's site from quikstore to osC. The first thing I searched for here is a mod just like this, because my customer typically has 2-6 images for a product. I've written a javascript module for my current site, but i'd like to use this one with osC. I've read through the post twice now, and can't seem to find a link to download. Hoping someone can tell me where to acquire this jewel, thanks! Wade "comfortably poor, plugin through life with my head held high!"
