    Believe it or not .. the SOAP based scripts (Brian's module) now work again flawlessly in the UK as it did for the past 3 months or so.... GO FIGURE !

    No in fact the version they have on their site is version 0.0 alpha (if that's at all possible lol) - well basically it is the first version they made available and it has never been updated. You will need to download this fix for SOLO/SWITCH cards (it will also fix a blatant bug found in the Express Checkout part of things): http://www.pdncommunity.com/attachments/pd...33/1/update.zip All works fine BUT both EC and DP are one payment module and show up as one which can really be confusing if you don't do some cosmetic changes to it...unlike Brian's which has a separate section for EC and one for DP.. Hope this helps...

    I have now installed their version and I can confirm it works... A shame really as I much prefer the SOAP version .. so much simpler to hack. I believe this module description should be touched up as it no longer covers the UK

    Brian, Can you confirm that their version is not SOAP based .. its basically your module 0.73 without SOAP ? What sort of functionality is missing from 0.7 to the latest 0.9 ? I am using a modified version of your 0.82 at the moment to which I added UK support myself.

    This module does not work anymore for UK based accounts. :angry: Even the Transactionsearch which managed for a few days to rescue the situation fails miserably now. Paypal are asking us to move away from the SOAP SDK if we are a UK based account. SHOCKING STATE OF AFFAIRS !!!!!!!!!

    I am also impressed by that Brian ! The transaction search in this case is a life saver. Any reason why it is not hapening to more people and just us ? Or is it simply a case that others just have not noticed this ? I'm hoping that now that I've passed on this info to Paypal, they will be able to do something about it.

    Seems like the first transaction fails ... then there is a transaction search which then get a success but no AVS codes and Transaction ID and because it is a transaction search it does not trigger a IPN notification email. ANy idea why does the first one fail ? Is it some sort of timeout ? Can I increase the timeout variable if there is one ?

    Brian, But the code has been working fine for 3 months prior to that - if the bug is there now it would have been there since the beginning... the transaction ID used to always be passed normally for 3 months and the suddenly stopped about 4 days ago - at the same time the notifications emails stopped. We are still receiving notfications for all other paypal payments.. Checkout express, normal Paypal payment ect.. it is just the direct CC ones that have stopped. I know it must be something on the paypal side but I thought you might shed some light as to what could be the problem. Paypal asked me to give them this: "Can you send me the payment string that you are passing to our servers for the direct payment and the answer (with the missing AVS and CVV2) that you are receiving back?" I am not sure exactly how to do that though..

    Dear Bryan, For some reason about 4 or 5 days ago (maybe more) - all our Direct CC transactions are coming back like this : Transaction ID: Payment Type: PayPal Direct Payment Payment Status: Completed AVS Code: No AVS Code Returned CVV2 Code: No CVV2 Code Returned Basically transaction ID is not there anymore, AVS code and CVV2 codes also not there. Also we don't receiving the Emails from paypal confirming the arrival of new funds. However apart from the above everything is ok : we receive the money into our account - the shop database is updated ok, we receive an email from the shop about the new transaction ect... Nothing has changed in our code (for the past 2 months) .. nothing at all ! So I am at a loss as to what is causing this... ? Can you please shed some light as I am getting a bit worried that things are suddenly just gonna stop working altogether. Thanks in advance.

    I run 0.8.2 also but in my case most transactions still complete ok ... it is just about 10% of them that have now started showing these strange errors (only since last week) The likeliest reason for these new problems (as Brian suggested) is that something happened on their side and it is affecting people differently Let's hope with all the emails they will receive from us they'll decide to either roll back or work on finding the problem

    I Suggest that everyone with the new error problems in Direct Payments to contact Paypal straight away. Please go to this address and write to them through the contact section there .. it it the best way to get through to their real developers. http://www.paypal.com/mts The quicker they realise that the problem is on their side the better it will be for us all... please make sure you let them know that otherws are also having the same problem ...

    It's not really as I checked their details and all is well.. we only allow purchases with accounts and the address is most certainly not the culprit this time
