    JcM Store Close Phoenix V1.0
    This is an add-on that lets you close your store to orders being placed. It contains 2 modules.
    The first is a simple header message which can be used to let your customer know you are closed.
    The second is a button control header tag that hides buy or add to cart buttons on index and replaces the buy button on product info page with a closed button. It is designed for stock install so if you have any custom buttons then you will need to deal with those separately.
    Again totally stand alone with no code change. Simply copy all files into relevant sections and install.
    The messages can be set in admin by editing language files.
    Once installed all you need to do is turn on the 2 modules to close the store to new orders. No other module needs to be changed as customer can not add anything to basket. Your store should be full functional other than this and web links , seo should be unaffected as all products and pages are still active and available.
    Has been tested on Phoenix 1.0.2.x only.
    Enjoy!
    The message ( you can select which pages it is shown on )

    The disabled closed button on product info page

    We need access to the old addons now, not "shortly". If you refuse to provide access to this open source content authored by developers who offered this content for free, would you at least consider paid access? It's impossible for forum members to provide support to those in need if we can't reference the files.

    Hello,
    Sorry, unfortunately nothing can comment regarding Windows. I personally suggest to install osCommerce 4 on Linux based systems, at least on Linux virtual machine running on the Windows.

    @osCommerce-OfficialI tried installing V4 onto my local wamp server. At the start of the install there was a message that said V4 wouldn't run when apache was on Windows. I went ahead and tried it and the splash page did show up but the admin displays a denied message. I asked  Andrei about it and he said it should work but to post here if I couldn't get it going. I checked all of the listed requirements and they are present. Not being able to run this locally will cause a lot of extra work and delays for developers, at least for me. Is there a way to get this to work?

    Smoky Barnable reacted to mattsc in Where is the PayPal v5.x module??? Replaced with 1.0 modules with "Price coming soon" and no code
    As near as I can tell, the code for paypal module isn't available anymore. My OSC 2.3.4 BS stores are running the PayPal App v4.039 and I was contacted by PayPal saying that we needed to update to the latest code. Looking at the app listings tho, the PayPal app has been replaced with v1.0 versions:
    https://app.oscommerce.com/paypal-pro-hs
    https://app.oscommerce.com/paypal-partner
    Both say they are v1.0 and "Price coming soon" and no links for code or means of downloading anything! Where is the v5.x codebase of the PayPal module???

    I manually changed the configuration_key MODULE_SHIPPING_USPS_TYPES in the configuration table in the database as well. If you already made the changes in usps.php, then removing and installing the module would update the table. Seems to work ok now. Yeah, really tired of the usps api changes over the years.😠

    I noticed today that domestic priority quotes seem to have changed from Priority MailTM to Priority MailRM  and as such quotes aren't being displayed.

    Many, many thanks for this.  I changed all the Priority MailTM, Priority Mail ExpressTM, and Priority Mail Express InternationalTM to "RM", but it didn't work.  Saw your post and changed the items in the key MODULE_SHIPPING_USPS_TYPES of the configuration table with phpMyAdmin, and everything worked - no need to uninstall and re-install the USPS module.
    It's great to see that the legacy oscommerce forum stuff works.  I didn't know about this, although I've had a customer or two order with UPS shipping options (the only shipping working, unbeknownst to me).  I thought that was strange, but sometimes customers choose higher rates for their own reasons.  However, I got an e-mail this morning because I had subscribed to this thread.  I hadn't logged into the oscommerce forum in over a year, but got all of this fixed in about a half-hour.
    YAYYY!
    P.S. Still stuck on Phoenix 1.0.5, but I guess that's another whole story ... and forum, too!

    I wish I had known to check the forums a long time ago, because I updated the USPS module myself to the rate api v4, and intl rate api v2, and I did all the work of upgrading to https all by myself.  I think you'll like my solution to the service names problem.  Back when I upgraded the module in 2020 I wrote some regular expressions to match the basic service types without having to worry about whether it was Priority Mail one-day, or two-day (let alone whether it was TM or RM), and since that time it still works without me having to modify those regexes to keep up with USPS' changes.
    The only caveat is that my module assumes you have access to commercial plus pricing.  The other downside is that the allowed service types are hard coded into the module instead of having radio button selections of which services are allowed.

    A new version has been uploaded with these changes:
    Free Version
    Added the clear_ip_manually sql file (in Extras) to allow clearing of an IP that blocks you from admin. Added visitor count to the header. Added tool to whitelist an IP. Changed the blocking code when the bad bot trap is tripped to only store the IP once - it was storing it twice. Changed the status function to return violations if Honey Pot is used. Corrected a database query in admin that caused intermittent errors. Fixed problem that could occur in multi-language shops. Fixed the prolem in Tools that prevented the selected tool from staying open. Moved some code out of a loop to improve speed in admin. Moved some code to common functions. Pro Version:
    Added more hacker defines. Added a function to check if a customer exists to prevent accidental blocking. Requires Honey Pot.    Added code to identify an IP that was banned by Honey Pot in the Banned Log. Requires Honey Pot. Added code to allow checking IP's on abusepdb.com. Added a tool to check for blocked customers. Added a search option to the Monitor page. Fixed the banned log code to set the initial sort method correctly. Changed how the blocking code works when a block is done in Honey Pot's Maintenance section. Requires honey Pot. Changed the code to track errors to use SCRIPT_NAME instead of REFERER for better results. Changed the wording of the report text to better identify where the error occurred. Removed the timeout value in CURL for downloading the database to allow for larger databases.

    I did the same. I also use PayPal and that only mentions PayPal which hopefully makes people use Stripe rather than PayPal as Stripe is cheaper to use.

    I call it "Debit and Credit Cards"
    With the Stripe SCA module the customer never sees the Stripe branding unless you have your Stripe account set up to send receipts direct to your customer.

    I don't have a shop set up with View Counter that will run with php 8 so I can't test this.
     But that error is due to an invalid timestamp value so my first guess is that you have changed the time format entry in the View Counter settings.
    But since it is only failing on the server I think it more likely that the servers mysql version has strict mode set. The code should work even with that set but until I am able to test it that might be a quick fix.

    Smoky Barnable reacted to Moxamint in [Addon] Twitter Typeahead Autocomplete Search for osC 2.3.4 (BS and nonBS)
    I installed this add-on and it's working beautifully on my test site.  Thank you very much @@auzStar!
      Because my product images are all very large (800 x 800 pixels), I've been using 'KissIT Image Thumbnailer' to create thumbnails.  Dominic helped me customize this 'Twitter Typeahead Autocomplete Search' so that it uses tep_image() instead of HTML method to re-size product images shown in drop-down of the search result.  The following are code changes to achieve it:   In "catalog\ext\typeahead\js\ht-twitter-typeahead.js.php", find this code: return "<div style='padding: 0px 10px 0px 5px;'><table border='0' width='100%' cellspacing='0' cellpadding='0'><tr><td valign='center' align='center' width='10%' style='padding-right: 6px;'><img src='"+data.image+"' width='40' height='' /></td>"+ replace with:
    return "<div style='padding: 0px 10px 0px 5px;'><table border='0' width='100%' cellspacing='0' cellpadding='0'><tr><td valign='center' align='center' width='10%' style='padding-right: 6px;'>"+data.image+"</td>"+ In "catalog\ext\modules\header_tags\twitter_typeahead\autocomplete.php", find this code:
    if (tep_not_null($results['products_image'])) { $results_array['img'] = DIR_WS_IMAGES . $results['products_image']; } else { $results_array['img'] = (MODULE_HEADER_TAGS_TWITTER_TYPEAHEAD_DISPLAY_NO_IMAGE_ICON == 'true' ? DIR_WS_IMAGES . 'no_img.png' : ''); } replace with: if (tep_not_null($results['products_image'])) { $results_array['img'] = tep_image(DIR_WS_IMAGES . $results['products_image'], NULL, '40', ''); } else { $results_array['img'] = (MODULE_HEADER_TAGS_TWITTER_TYPEAHEAD_DISPLAY_NO_IMAGE_ICON == 'true' ? tep_image(DIR_WS_IMAGES . 'no_img.png', NULL, '40', '') : ''); } Now the search result of 'Twitter Typeahead Autocomplete Search' will use thumbs created by 'KissIT Image Thumbnailer' instead of using the original product images.
      For those who are interested in this lovely add-on, please PM me if you want to see it in action on my test site.   Cheers, Eddy

    *** Resolved ***
    Yes, it was something I did ... 🙄
    Starting somewhere during the osC CE 'Edge' development (and continuing still in the 'Phoenix' development), many file names, paths, and database table names became hard-coded. So, one of the tasks to update an old add-on to work with osC CE Phoenix is to make those hard-code changes. That's where I made my mistake ...
    In /admin/create_order_process.php, the original code was:
    include(DIR_FS_CATALOG . DIR_WS_LANGUAGES . $language . '/modules/order_total/' . $value); include(DIR_FS_CATALOG . DIR_WS_MODULES . 'order_total/' . $value);
    I changed this to:
    include('includes/languages/' . $language . '/modules/order_total/' . $value); include('includes/modules/order_total/' . $value); However, by leaving out the DIR_FS_CATALOG, the code was trying to search for the order_total modules (and language files) in the Admin side of the shop.

    The correct code is:
    include(DIR_FS_CATALOG .'includes/languages/' . $language . '/modules/order_total/' . $value); include(DIR_FS_CATALOG .'includes/modules/order_total/' . $value); I hope this helps anyone who is also trying to adapt this add-on to the newer versions of osC Phoenix.
    Malcolm
