  1. I just dragged the products_attributes.php that came with the installation, which has just the single clone feature, and that works like a dream, so there is somethiing wrong in the mult-clone version. That is as far as I can think, though!

    thanks for that - that is helpful info - I did test it, but I don't use that version - I'll look into it.

  2. Hey Scott,

    Hopefully you can enlighten me a bit... :blush:

    Long ago I installed this contribution - Sort Product Attributes v1.2 and set it to "order by price".

    That worked for my needs. But I gave up on using the attributes because I have too many products. Let me explain...

    I have different categories of products that share different attributes. Let's say I have 100 products in category A that has 4 attribute settings. 50 products in category B has another 4 attribute settings, category C, category D, etc...

    All I would like to do is create the original set of attributes with associated pricing and be able to select which products use which attributes. As it is now, I have to add the pricing for each attribute per product which is a pain. I don't know why osC only saves the Option Name & Value. :huh:

    Would your clone addition accomplish this?

    Do I need a complete contribution install or just sort of edit for the clone function?

    Could you explain what the clone feature does?

    One more thought...

    What happens when there's a product price increase?

    Would all 500 individual entries need updating or just some sort of attribute original?

    I appreciate any guidance or info you could share. ;)

    Yes, install the multiple cloner option.

  3. Scott,

    I found a minor error in index_maintenance.php. The <form> tag isn't closed. Here's the fix:

    Find this:

    	</table></td>
    <!-- body_text_eof //-->

    Replace with this:

    	</table></form></td>
    <!-- body_text_eof //-->

    Most browsers probably handle it okay, so it isn't noticed except when checking the code against an HTML validator.

    Thanks Glen, I'll include that in the next update!

  4. Hi,

    I'm having some problems with this. I followed the text file, and copy/pasted the reqired code. I have uploaded the two files, and referenced it in filenames.php but i still cant get it to work. In the admin side there is no listing of store mode. Can someone please tell me where i might have gone wrong? i have checked that i have put the code in correctly, and i think i have.

    Cheers

    Paul.

    You forgot to do the database inserts.

  5. I tired this and followed steps one and two and got:

    Fatal error: Call to undefined function tep_attributes_sort() in /home/sportsti/public_html/admin/products_attributes.php on line 602 (from the product attribute tab in admin)

    line 602 is:

    // BOE: Attribute Sort with Clone Tool

    $attributes_sort = tep_attributes_sort($attributes_values['products_attributes_id']);

    // EOE: Attribute Sort with Clone Tool

    Can you help me? I dont know what I did wrong.

    the function in step 2 is not present. you probably put it in catalog/includes/functions/general.php instead of catalog/admin/includes/functions/general.php

    Scott

  6. Thanks for the reply Scott.

    I've entered my username and password, and made sure that USPS placed my profile on production as well as have rate calculator enabled. Unfortunately, I still get the same error. I installed the addon you recommended, and still have the error message. I don't know where else to look for answers. :huh:

    is this on domestic or international shipping? If it is international shipping, it is because the USPS changed their definitions for the database last week, so all USPS international shipping modules are broken except my USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate Shipping addon because it does not connect to USPS at all. I hope to have time to work on a fix for this sometime soon as all USPS modules are now broken due to the change including the stock osC module for international shipping.

  7. i dir it here is now what i got as error :

    I'd unstall the addon and re-install from scratch - delete all files you uploaded and directories - reupload fileset and insert edits from v1.7.3

    I say this because there are no references to the database entries FOOTER_CELL_BG_COLOR or FOOTER_TEXT_BG_COLOR in the pdf_datasheet_functions.php file at all.

  8. i installed the last version and got this message error :FPDF error: Some data has already been output, can't send PDF file

    here are the debuf infos :

    any informations would help :-)

    I missed one definition - sorry - in line 248 of pdf_datasheet_functions.php:

    Find this:

    IMAGE_KEEP_PROPORTIONS

    REPLACE with this:

    PDF_IMAGE_KEEP_PROPORTIONS

    After you do this, I'll be it all gets fixed...

  9. Alright, I reverted back the USPS module that came standard with fresh install and it still won't work. I contacted USPS and they told me I'm on production server and I need to contact someone in osCommerce. Just to be sure, I tested my username and password on another site that runs on Virtuemart to see if works and it does with no problems. So that proves they did move me to production.

    I have entered my zip code and selected the country in the configuration, so I'm sure it's not the configuration.

    I reinstalled the addon and it's still not working. Any ideas why?

    It could be several things:

    1. Your USPS account is not set to "Production"

    2. I think 4.0.3 requires the password, 3.0.2 you just put the login 2x (as the password)

    3. The USPS servers are overloaded and can't handle your request (in this case, there is no solution except installing the USPS addon that works if the USPS servers are down)

  10. What weight is separated? When I was thinking of separating weight, I wanted to use an ounce and pound value for products. This doesn't seem to be the case.

    It is separated in 3.0.2 so that it only displays pounds and ounces to the customer, but it still submits to usps as a unit.

    Also, I'll through in my thoughts on an editor - I prefer "Notepad++" - it is amazing...

    Scott

  11. I havn't been checking up on you guys lately. Has everyone gotten v4.3.0 to work properly? I've read all the posts and it seems it is okay except for the lengthy install document which confuses some people to miss steps. I'm going to look at Olson's v3 with separate ounces and pounds and try to steal his work. lol, just kidding. I'll give you credit.

    I'll look into the above error.

    Hey Greg,

    feel free to steal away and I don't need credit :) I appreciate all your efforts...

    Scott

  12. I found the issue... if you have 3.0.2 installed, you don't need the 1st function in the insert in admin/includes/functions/general.php

    So, only insert this:

    // USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate Shipping
    // Alias function for Store configuration values in the Administration Tool.
    // Creates multiple text input boxes in a list.
    // Remember to add blank default values: 1, 2, , , 5, 6, ...
     function tep_cfg_multiinput_list($select_array, $key_value, $key = '') {
    $key_values = explode( ", ", $key_value);

    for ($i=0; $i<sizeof($select_array); $i++) {
      $name = (($key) ? 'configuration[' . $key . '][]' : 'configuration_value');
      $string .= '<br><input type="text" name="' . $name . '" value="' . $key_values[$i] . '"> ' . $select_array[$i];
    }
    $string .= '<input type="hidden" name="' . $name . '" value="--none--">';
    return $string;
     }

    ////
    // USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate Shipping
    // Alias function for Store configuration values in the Administration Tool.
    // Creates a text input box on either side of the option, adds <= OPTION <= and makes a list.
    // Remember to add blank default values: 1, 2, , , 5, 6, ...
     function tep_cfg_multiinput_duallist_oz($select_array, $key_value, $key = '') {
    $key_values = explode( ", ", $key_value);
    $string .= '<center>';

    for ($i=0; $i<sizeof($select_array); $i++) {
    $current_key_value = current($key_values);

      $name = (($key) ? 'configuration[' . $key . '][]' : 'configuration_value');
      $string .= '<br><input type="text" name="' . $name . '" size="3" value="' . $current_key_value . '"><i>oz</i>';
    $string .= ' <b><</b> ' . $select_array[$i] . ' <u><b><</b></u>';
    next($key_values);
    $current_key_value = current($key_values);
    $string .= '<input type="text" name="' . $name . '" size="3" value="' . $current_key_value . '"><i>oz</i>';
    next($key_values);
    }
    $string .= '<input type="hidden" name="' . $name . '" value="--none--">';

    $string .= '</center>';
    return $string;
     }
     function tep_cfg_multiinput_duallist_lb($select_array, $key_value, $key = '') {
    $key_values = explode( ", ", $key_value);
    $string .= '<center>';

    for ($i=0; $i<sizeof($select_array); $i++) {
    $current_key_value = current($key_values);

      $name = (($key) ? 'configuration[' . $key . '][]' : 'configuration_value');
      $string .= '<br><input type="text" name="' . $name . '" size="3" value="' . $current_key_value . '"><i>lbs</i>';
    $string .= ' <b><</b> ' . $select_array[$i] . ' <u><b><</b></u>';
    next($key_values);
    $current_key_value = current($key_values);
    $string .= '<input type="text" name="' . $name . '" size="3" value="' . $current_key_value . '"><i>lbs</i>';
    next($key_values);
    }
    $string .= '<input type="hidden" name="' . $name . '" value="--none--">';

    $string .= '</center>';
    return $string;
     }

  13. hi. your doing great in modifiing this contrib, but why was the agent tracking removed? newer versions since 3.1 do no longer track the agents (?rep=xxx), thats just one step back instead oh ahead. a really appreciated what your doing here but it would be less trouble updating when the last official version is used instead of your own files. 3.1 has agent tracking then several updates and 3.3 does not have this anymore. just made me downgrade last night because i missed my stats.

    maybe at some point it can be re-integrated - don't know why it was not included in other packages before mine - I'm sure there were reasons - that is the nature of Open Source. I'm glad that 3.1 works fine for you.

  14. hello,

    Thanks for a great contr.

    One question..

    Is it possible to sort the Product Options too?

    I have managed to sort the Product Attributes (the drop down menu) but not the product options (the drop down boxes themselves).

    Lets say that i have to product options size, and color.

    I want size to be on top, and color at the bottom..

    How can i do this?

    i'm sure it can be done, but i have not seen it done...

  15. Hello-

    I am a complete newbie at this kind of thing. Any help you could offer would really be appreciated.

    I am running v2.2 RC2

    I found the instructions really easy to follow - the sort order is working Great! However when I try to clone the product attributes this error comes up:

    1064 - You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ''+)' at line 1

    INSERT INTO products_attributes ( products_id, options_id, options_values_id, options_values_price, price_prefixt) VALUES (30, 3, 64, 0.0000, '+)

    [TEP STOP]

    in addition when I'm trying to insert another product attribute I get this message:

    1136 - Column count doesn't match value count at row 1

    insert into products_attributes values (null, '39', '6', '81', '0', '+', '0','')

    [TEP STOP]

    I've been looking through the posts and I don't really understand what I need to do, pertaining to my situation? I'm sure it's something so easy to do.

    Could you please help out? Thanks in advance.
