    I think for the long term well being of osCommerce, modular is the way to go. That would allow so many more newcomers to get right along with their shop goals more easily, thus attracting that audience which I believe is important for osCommerce future. If someone wants to delve into coding they can, or as mentioned hire a pro for specific work.

    I particularly like how when going through the checkout process, the shipping address and method are displayed in one panel style, and the billing address and payment method in another.

    The separation is good for taking in the info at a glance, and the different classes will make css customization a breeze.

    Heres where I'm at, all controlled modularly. These are infoboxes which look different in the footer and normal if in the side columns. Thoughts ?

    I am in desperate need of some payment icons (vias, mastercard, paypal) which must be GPL or MIT license and distributable. Anyone got any or know where to get some?

    Reviews Functionality is now complete;

    1. Shop Owner can choose to show the normal reviews infobox OR they can include the best x number of shortened reviews directly in the product page:
    http://www.template.me.uk/2334bs3/product_info.php?products_id=19

    2. The main reviews page is now updated to show reviews in a similar format
    Now:
    http://www.template.me.uk/2334bs3/reviews.php

    Previously:
    http://demo.oscommerce.com/reviews.php

    3. Individual Reviews are NUKED. Instead the FULL review shows on the product review page, previously only a cutdown portion of the review showed on this page + the full review on its own page:
    Now:
    http://www.template.me.uk/2334bs3/product_reviews.php?products_id=19

    Previously:
    http://demo.oscommerce.com/product_reviews.php?products_id=19
    and
    http://demo.oscommerce.com/product_reviews_info.php?products_id=19&reviews_id=1

    Hopefully you will agree that all of these changes are long overdue and make the whole reviews system more satisfying and better looking.

    I'm picking up on this thread but still playing catch up and some of the code is beyond me. If/when I get time to give it all a proper look, you can be sure that I'll chime in with some comments - hopefully constructive ones! ;-) It much depends on how many other projects that I get sidetracked by.

    So far, it's looking promising. Go guys, go!

    Even if you used and modified easy populate surely you have to write unique meta tags by typing them in ne t a time.

    You can do it in phpmyadmin, but that defeats the purpose of creating especially crafted titles and descriptions, no?

    I find it hard to believe that only 5 or 6 members of the forum have taken the time to look at the test sites and make comments (many thanks to this handful of great guys). To the rest; come on people, if you want a bootstrapped enabled oscommerce, then you need to help out.

    My test site (kept up to date with the master github): http://www.template.me.uk/2334bs3/

    Garys test site (scratchpad of ideas): http://wsfive.com/bs-master/

    Please have a look and post your comments.

    Hey great and thanks for the month Community Sponsorship.

    But even more, thanks so much to those that share their coding skills and general web site management concepts with the forum family. Without you folks, OsC would not be where it is today.

    I what now? You've actually got me at a loss for words. For anyone who knows me, that's quite a trick.

    Thank you all very much. I really enjoy being a part of this community and working with all of the great people here. Here's to another great year for osCommerce.

    I can see the point you are trying to make. But I feel that taking the 2.3 in this direction is the correct thing to do;

    you can get with it and help out, or not. Either way, we will end up with 2.3 having Bootstrap.

    At the end of March I hope to unveil a fully working Bootstrapped 2.3, on which any good designer will have no problems creating a good theme.

    Then you're only a year older that me. If I can still learn new things, and I do so as often as I can, then you can do it as well. Might as well start now.

    you could just add a tep_session_registered into all files other than;

    login.php
    and
    create_account.php

    That should do it ? Look at how this is done in (for example) account.php.

    "Big Chooser" from @@swguy would appear to fit the bill. Commercial product and fairly difficult to set up but should do what you want (I think).

    Joe, I can guarantee this will never happen. What you want is not what the next shop would want is not want the shop down the road would want.

    These two addons are not suitable for inclusion into core; individual shopowners would be expected to muddle through OR if they can't muddle through, they pay a developer for a customised version of osCommerce that does do exactly what they need it to do.

    In general, and this advice is for all users of osc who require "something" added into the core, ask yourself;

    is it good for 99% of shops or am I only thinking of my shop
