My suggestion;  make a new thread laying out your concerns so that they can be addressed.
I would prefer that you do that in the club (so that it is easier for me to reply without getting dragged into "drama" that some users like to create, but it's up to you).

update products set products_weight = 1.1 where products_weight < 1; You might like to take a backup of the products table (in phpmyadmin) prior to doing so.

I'm constantly surprised and sometimes astonished at the words that come out of shopowners...
What you guys are implying is that it is too much work to apply a 1 or 2 or 5 or 10 minute upgrade to your shop, because you have used addons that change core code or may break.  Would that be a fair assessment?
  4. Thanks

That's precisely the point of the versioning - make a decision to use a software/version and then use it until one wants (or needs) to upgrade/change.
As for being held back by addons - the whole point of ALL that Matt and I do is to make things easier for addon makers and by extension that makes life easier for shopowners.  Admittedly we have some addon makers who don't subscribe to the ethos of recoding things in a way that does not require core code change.
As I say, I find it astonishing that anyone would be upset about forward movement.

No one should be upset by that. It is a good thing.  Shop owners and developers just need pick the version they want to use or support and go from there.  You don't need to follow every update as some seem to be doing and then complain to developers that add-ons are broken.

Yes, assuming this is your record shop we are talking about, it is a *very* old version of oscommerce (I'm surprised it is still working at all!).
If you have budget it may be advisable to get some quotes from the good developers here to upgrade you to the latest version (it need not cost that much actually, depending on what extras you need, it could be as little as an hours work).  Post at https://forums.oscommerce.com/forum/79-commercial-support-inquiries/ to get some quotes.

I am not a supporter of Brexit, but I would consider this lucky for the British.
We are getting mad in Europe, looking at this example. For those 100 people we have to change our software? NEVER as far as I am concerned.

    Here's how I fixed it.
I removed the recursive code that I'd put in my .htaccess and simply copied the php.ini file to my admin directory instead. Fopen On in admin
    Voila, simple as that.

Sorry .. but that is crap. Just read carefully the comments of John - Matt and Gary. If you and others in general can not keep up (dont have the skills) with changes than stick to quite stable 1.0.5.0 ... But for every simple notice moaning about stable is not going to bring us where we want to be.
I am very sorry if I am blunt but I don’t know how to put it nicely.

Note that you might still have to update the crt file *after* installing the PayPal App.  Because the most recent version of that App is older than the addition of the crt file to Frozen.  But installing the App should get you a crt file to update.

Thanks Martin, that fixed it for my customer's site.
@saxcbr @Cary @cdetdi @Mac Fly please try copying the above file into your shops.
You can then try resending an IPN from your Paypal account (finding it is tortuous):
log in to PP, hit cog > Account settings
scroll down to website payments on left menu
choose Update next to Instant Payment Notifications
in the middle of the first line of text, hit the link IPN History page
This shows you a list of IPNs, defaulting to the last 24 hours - change the period if necessary and select one to resend
    [fingers crossed]

I'll do it tomorrow morning because I don't have direct access to Paypal account since I am the webmaster.
I need to do it with my customers.
I posted here to inform that is not a single case.
    Thanks

You get that failure because paypal's ssltest subdomain no longer exists - everyone gets it whether their integration works or not.
It could however be related to cypher suites.
The getting details on an order that worked before - that will help narrow down the issue. I reckon a failure there is strongly indicative of a communication problem, so perhaps it's something else

It did get finished but it turned out to be one of the projects where things didn't quite go according to plan, and the code ended up not being ready for public release.  I do plan to revisit it soon as part of the Phoenix Updating process as this system (or something similar) would supercharge outgoing (and incoming) customer contact.
