  1. I am using the PayPal Website Payments Pro (UK) Express Checkout contribution from HPDL and everything is working OK except the following. My store has two shipping bands, i.e. 'Collect in Person' and 'Table Rate'. (I am NOT using Flat Rate) If I add an item to my cart and select Express Checkout from the shopping cart page the table rate is always applied to the order. If I continue the normal checkout process and select 'Collect in Person' (i.e. zero shipping cost) and then Express Checkout as my payment method it all looks fine until I am returned to the order confirmation page after PayPal where the shipping rate has been changed from 'Collect in Person' to 'Table Rate'. It can be changed on this screen but I need to know why it is being changed from what I select before going through Express Checkout. Anyone else had this issue? Thanks.

PayPal Express Checkout & Empty Shopping Cart?

Hi there. Did you ever solve this problem. I have a similar problem I think ... On return from PayPal EC my session seems to have been dropped and I am returned to an empty shopping cart. The order has not been added to osCommerce and the contents of the cart are still there when I log back in. Was this the same problems as you? Any help appreciated.

PayPal WPP Direct Payments & Express Checkout Support

Hi Glen, Apologies if my post came across as 'pushy', as that was not the intention. Perhaps my choice of the 'angry' icon was inappropriate in hindsight - I did not mean that I was angry because no-one had replied but I was angry at the fact I could not yet solve the problem. I fully understand that everyone generally replies in their spare time. Anyway many thanks for taking the time to reply and this will give me something to go on. Best Regards, A

PayPal WPP Direct Payments & Express Checkout Support

Thanks for the reply. I was quite meticulous adding the code and on re-checking I did not find any errors. I have been looking into this further today and I believe it is a session issue. When Paypal returns to my site (at the shopping cart) it has a different (new) session ID to the one it was passed when the Express Checkout button was clicked. Does this indicate that the session has died? OK so even if the session was correct why is it returning to the shopping cart after PayPal Express - is this correct? Continuing to investigate ... Any further help much appreciated. Thanks

PayPal WPP Direct Payments & Express Checkout Support

Hi All, I have installed the excellent PayPal WPP Direct Payments & Express Checkout contribution, version 1.0.4 to my store and generally it has gone well. I am running Oscommerce 2.2 rc2a. I have successfully transacted with Direct Payments in the sandbox and everything is fine. However when I use express checkout everything appears to work OK except that after I confirm the transaction on the PayPal website I am returned to shopping_cart.php. (full link is https://---------------/----/shopping_cart.php?action=express_checkoutb4---871e6d117e---c628a6ef8ec---&token=EC-0MS518---6542037T&PayerID=C5CP---3VPSTA [dashes substituted for security purposes] The cart is shown as empty but no payment has been taken by PayPal and no order logged is OSc. The user has been logged out and when the user logs back in the cart contents are still there. Although I have a template based store I have followed the manual install instructions to the letter and the only section I had an issue with was the includes/header.php Because it is a template my header.php file looks nothing like the example given. Only the HEADER_TITLE_CART_CONTENTS is part of header.php The other HEADERS are part of includes/footer.php So far I have only modified footer.php by adding $show_user_options = tep_paypal_wpp_show_user_options(); and <?php if ($show_user_options) { ?> in place of <? if (tep_session_is_registered('customer_id')) { ?> Do I need to amend the HEADER_TITLE_CART_CONTENTS in header.php? Please can someone explain what this code modification is doing and whether problems here could have a bearing on the Express Checkout issue I have? I presume this code is just displaying the various options depending on whether the user is already logged in or not? If this was the problem area I would have expected Direct Payments to have the same problem? I am right in thinking that the return url does not need to be set on my PayPal account when using Express Checkout? Is there anything else I can check to track down why I have this problem? Thanks in advance.

Paypal Express Checkout - xml files

OK I found the solution in case anyone else has this issue. It may not be an elegant or the only solution but it works for me. It may differ depending on how your server is configured. I am using shared hosting. Find line 47 in .../includes/modules/payment/paypal_wpp.php : $this->resources = DIR_WS_CATALOG . DIR_WS_INCLUDES . 'paypal_wpp/'; Change as follows by including the full server path at the beginning: $this->resources = '/server/homepages/??/??????????/htdocs' . DIR_WS_CATALOG . DIR_WS_INCLUDES . 'paypal_wpp/'; Incidentally the error message is misleading and can be corrected by amending line 39 in .../includes/languages/english/modules/payment/paypal_wpp.php as follows: define('MODULE_PAYMENT_PAYPAL_DP_MISSING_XML', 'PayPal WPP installation incomplete! There should be XML files located in ' . DIR_FS_CATALOG . '/'.DIR_WS_INCLUDES . 'paypal_wpp/xml/ !'); Hope this helps someone !

    Checking File Permissions

Apologies for the late reply due to Xmas and New Year. By the way Happy New Year! I checked and footer.php in the admin area is exactly the same as it is in your example. I too am using a template (never again!) so perhaps there is something in there that is causing the problem? I am still getting: 1146 - Table 'db266941211.TABLE_COUNTER' doesn't exist select startdate, counter from TABLE_COUNTER [TEP STOP] Anythink else that needs to be checked?

What timescale do you have? i.e. when do you need the solution? What is your budget?

    Checking File Permissions

Hi, I have a couple of problems with the contribution and wondered if anyone could help? Firstly before the file checking starts I get this line: Set Standard File And Directory Permissions **Permission check in progress (no changes will be made).** The directory backups exists, so this is OK. The admin directory is called shop Type Name Original permissions Actions / Results Warning: chdir() [function.chdir]: No such file or directory (errno 2) in /homepages/nn/dnnnnnnnnn/htdocs/shop/admin/check_permissions.php on line 360 File ./account.php 755 Action Required, should be File ./stylesheet.css 755 Action Required, should be Directory ./images 755 Action Required, should be File ./account_edit.php 755 Action Required, should be Then runs OK for a while until this: File ./images/default/Thumbs.db 755 Action Required, should be File ./images/banners/oscommerce.gif 755 Action Required, should be File ./images/banners/Thumbs.db 755 Action Required, should be 1146 - Table 'dbnnnnnnnnn.TABLE_COUNTER' doesn't exist select startdate, counter from TABLE_COUNTER Now table COUNTER doesn't exist, table counter (lower case does) So I added the table but still received the error? Any help much appreciated.

    HSBC secure-epayment module

Hi Andy, Many thanks for taking the time to write such a detailed reply which is much appreciated. I am a bit rusty on my php and this will save me a lot of time. I have successfully integrated WorldPay and PayPal in the past but this is a first for me with HSBC which seems to be a bit more complex than the others? Anyway thanks again and have a good day. Andy

    HSBC secure-epayment module

after reading all the doom and gloom about HSBC CPI integration I read your post with interest ... Latest version of HSBC Module Files from HSBC CD (they send you it) on 1and1 hosting with no previous knowledge regarding cpi Excuse my ignorance but where do the files need to be installed? Did you just use the HSBC supplied files or did you use another osCommerce contribution as well? Any help would be much appreciated.
