    Attribute Sets Contribution

I had a similar message on a couple different options in admin. It turns out it's related to the recent server change which changed versions of MYSQL. I don't know if this will help but it immediately fixed my troubles. 1064 Error Lauren

    Links Manager v1.01, please help???

I agree! GREAT idea, Elizabeth. I'm going to try it and see how it looks. It was what I was looking for anyhow. The regular way is a waste of space. Lauren

    Links Manager v1.01, please help???

I like to do my sites at around 760px wide too so I also run into various contributions and settings messing with my layout and stretching it. I'm installing some stuff now so can't double check what I did exactly but bottom line is that I took out a bunch of the cells via the admin panel. I believe I just left the SITE TITLE (and enabled it as a link) and the description, which fixed my problem. You could also probably play around with the CSS code and see if adding a width might help. Lauren

    Extra pages contrib. question

Great tip! I have a question in the same vane. Excuse me if the answer is easy, my brain is swimming in a contribution fog (I've added PWA, options with images, attribute sets, article manager, link manager, latest news, WYSIWYG 1.7, review approval....whew..and now extra pages). Anyhow....I've gone ahead and created extra boxes and pages but was wondering if I could use the extra pages contrib instead so my client can easily edit them. In other words, how easy would it be to create the extra pages link in a different infobox than the one called for in the contrib? I KNOW it's probably possible with maybe just redoing part of the installation and renaming some stuff but I just can't figure it out. Lauren

    Attribute Sets Contribution

WHEW....just finished reading all 29 pages!! First of all, Joey...THANK YOU!! This is an amazing contribution not only because of what it does but because of the tireless support you kindly offer (even to those not using the search function). I installed your version 5.5 (not cip) and added the AS edit fix. I have had NO problems with it. BUT I wanted to share that I also added the ITNEtwork Designs fix. You are told to add the following to ;admin/includes/language/english.php // text for product_attributes_sets.php define('IMAGE_CREATE_ATTRIBUTE_SET', 'Create Set'); define('HEADING_TITLE', 'Attribute Sets'); define('TEXT_SELECT_OPTION', 'Select Atributes'); define('TEXT_CHOOSE_OPTION', 'Choose an Option'); define('TEXT_CHOOSE_SET_SIZE', 'Set Size'); and it changes all page headings in the catalog section of admin panel to "attribute sets". I suppose you could take out the HEADING_TITLE. But I just took the whole thing out..didn't see a reason for it or for bothering to play with the file. I am NOT a coder but can wing my way around. Thanks again!!! And not sure if this is appropriate but you should definately add a "donate" button to your site for all of the very grateful! I wish I could donate to all but the contribs with the choice support get my spare change!! Lauren

    Article Manager v1.0

Great contribution! I am not sure who is supporting this but figured I'd post the issues I had with installation in case those more experienced with PHP can check and/or add them to the contribs (I"m too afraid too!) Anyhow...I installed v1.2b from 5/24. I added the contrib "bug fix" from Bedo on 4/16 (which is a bug fix for the Articles on Top Level contrib addition) and a breadcrumb fix I found in the forums (sorry forgot to jot down name). So here are the issues I had; some tiny, some notso; 1) I don't know enough to know if it makes a difference but the database script was this: article_manager_sql.txt and I had never imported a file like that so I changed it to: article_manager_sql.sql (which is how the install instructions refers to it) 2) Install instructions call you add definitions to a file; includes/languages/english/english.php it should be (obvious to most, I know) includes/languages/english.php 3) breadcrumb fix is (again forgot person's name who wrote this); in file; includes/appication_top.php FIND CODE: (around line 524) $breadcrumb->add(NAVBAR_TITLE_DEFAULT, tep_href_link(FILENAME_ARTICLES)); DIRECTLY ABOVE IT, ADD: $breadcrumb->add($topics['topics_name'], tep_href_link(FILENAME_ARTICLES, 'tPath=' . implode('_', array_slice($tPath_array, 0, ($i+1))))); 4) The manual step by step "Tell a Friend" instructions - first I was getting errors. I made the following changes and the errors were fixed. In catalog/tell_a)friend.php; Around line 16, find the code; $navigation->set_snapshot(); I replaced it with; $navigation->set_snapshot; Then around line 116, find code; }elseif (tep_session_is_registered('customer_id')) { I replaced it with; elseif (tep_session_is_registered('customer_id')) { All the errors diappeared. BUT it still isn't working right. I overwrote the file with a backup copy. Here's what this is doing; 1) email is sent with no subject line 2) personal note you fill out does not appear in email 3) landing page after submitting email says "success - email has been sent) at top but you land on a page that says "product not found" 4) the link in the email sent sends you to this "product not found" page. Again, I am NOT a coder (but I can decipher and read errors well). Do not make the tell_a_friend changes unless you know what you are doing...just putting it out there in case there are obvious PHP errors that someone can pick up. I'm going to play around with this file when I have time and see if I can't get things working better. But any more experienced willing to support this fab contrib are welcome at it! Lauren

    Links Manager v1.01, please help???

GREAT contribution!! Thanks to all who have worked on it. It was the simplest contrib to install!! I had a problem I was coming here to ask about but figured it out just a second ago so I'm here to share instead. I have version 1.09 installed and I couldn't get the site title to be a link even with it turned ON in the admin panel. Then I remembered that I also installed the "flash" add on to teh contrib from 17 Jun 2005 - it is one file that replaces cat/includes/module/link_listing.php. I overwrote that file with the original v1.09 version and JOY. The title is NOW a link. Figured I'd share for you php coders who have some spare time. :D Lauren PS...would really LOVE the reciprocal linking to NOT be required.
  8. I haven't seen much in the way of support for this contribution..hopefully someone can help. I see the ultra pic and WYSIWYG combined is very active but alas, it's not what I installed. Okay so it's installed and it's working but the image upload (jpsy) is doing something weird. Once I upload the image, it displays the image but the image URL isn't just "images/graphic.gif" rather it's an entire url like this; http://boopababy.com/%7Eboopadoo/shop/images/house.gif I'm guessing it has to do with my shared SSL settings as our user name for the SSL is ~boopadoo. I've tried deleting all but the "house.gif" and it works fine BUT I can't deliver it to my customer like this. Any way to make the URL just the image name? Thanks for any help/tips. Lauren

    Add new customer in admin

Just curious if you ever figured this out? I am trying to install this supposedly easy contrib and it's not happy with my other contribs being there. Sheesh..it's only two files...I thought I was in for an easy night. Now i have to remove it all. Lauren (who is off to pore over the contrib support forums)

    Article Manager v1.0

This same thing happened to me. Ends up I was entering in the article under the TOPIC DESCRIPTION...rather than entering the topic and description and THEN clicking on ADD ARTICLE. Figured I'd mention it in case you're doing the same thing I did. Lauren
