  1. I figured out the problem... after about four hours of hair-pulling. It turns out, I somehow managed to have TWO product description fields in my code. In fact, they were basically the same copy of the section of code from this contribution for drawing the product description field.... it's just that I had it at TWO locations for some reason: 1 -- immediately below the manufacturer drop-down, near the top of the page.... and .... 2 -- further on down, just above the quantity field. I commented out that second segment of code... and now the editor appears !!! Thanks! -= Dave =-
  2. It seems to me you need a second closed-parentheses after the Wingdings, in order to close that array. It looks like you have a comma there instead. I don't think that comma should be there. -= Dave =-
  3. On the off-chance that somebody may have encountered this before: I'm having trouble getting HTMLAREA to "appear" on the new product / edit product page in the Admin section. I get a Javascript error "Object doesn't support this property or method". It referred to a line number that just didn't make sense if one just looked at the categories.php page. However, I determined that line number was pointing to the actual HTMLAREA javascript file, editor_basic.js. I figured this out by forcing the categories.php file to load the advanced editor instead.... in both files (editor_basic.js and editor_advanced.js), the same line (but different line number, of course) is referenced: // insert wysiwyg document.all[objname].insertAdjacentHTML('afterEnd', editor) If I put an "alert(objname);" statement directly ahead of that above that line, and then go refresh the page, I get alerts that prove to me that we're going through all of the ultimate images image fields.... (I have the Ultrapics module installed)... and then the last variable I get is "products_description[1]". If I comment out the php line that generates the products_description field, I no longer get the javascript error. So, it seems the problem involves running that above "insertAdjacentHTML" command for my products description field only! Anybody have any ideas or suggestions for investigation as to why this isn't working?? Thanks! -= Dave =-
  4. But I looked at the original contribution I downloaded and those lines are NOT in the instructions or example files. Disclaimer: My laptop was stolen last week. It had the actual original download on it. I was running the contribution tracker mod on my site, however, so I used that to restore that download. So, I'm fairly-certain I'm comparing to the correct version of this contribution. However, I can't really say with 100% certainty. I will make sure to test the ability to purchase without an account shortly. Thanks! -= Dave =-
  5. I'm still not sure where those lines of code (above) came from.... (v.90)... but I commented them out and I can now update orders without getting that error. Geez, I wish I knew where I had gotten that from. Thanks! -= Dave =-
  6. Whoa.... I thought about that "v.090" and realized I was installing something later than that. So I checked the contribution files that I downloaded (I keep all the originals) and sure enough, that code is NOT in that module. So, right now I'm thinking I must have grabbed that segment from some OTHER contribution. Checking now to see if I can figure out which one..... Thanks! -= Dave =-
  7. Greetings All ! I installed the PWA contribution dated 07/03/2006. Yet I too am getting that "unknown column" error, suggesting that the sql file that came with that contribution is incomplete. When I try to update an order, I get: 1054 - Unknown column 'purchased_without_account' in 'field list' select purchased_without_account from orders where orders_id = '1' The sql file that comes with that version of this contribution only has sql statements that insert into the configuration table. That's it... no other tables. My /admin/orders.php file clearly says: // BEGIN >>> PWA v0.90 Contribution $pwa_check_query= tep_db_query("select purchased_without_account from " . TABLE_ORDERS . " where orders_id = '" . tep_db_input($oID) . "'"); $pwa_check= tep_db_fetch_array($pwa_check_query); // END <<< PWA v0.90 Contribution So, there's the column on the table. I'm thinking somebody forgot to include a few sql statements in that package? Can anybody send what I'm missing to me? Thanks! -= Dave =-

    USPS Labels not working

    I installed version 1.9e a few weeks ago and now I see that we've had what seems to be an overhaul. Do I need to back-out 1.9e before upgrading to 2.0.1 ? -= Dave =-
  9. Yeah, that's what I did as a temporary work-around. I didn't realize that an email alert goes out to the person once I've created their account. Thanks! -= Dave =-
  10. OK, I'm stumped: I'm testing out my installation and I created a new member of the "Customer Relations" group. However, where do I set this person's password? Is there some default for this? Thanks! -= Dave =-

    Seperate Pricing Per Customer v3.5

    Iggy, The stock file worked... and I had been using WinMerge to view the difference between my file and the advanced_search_result.php-SPPCv415 file.... and there were only cosmetic differences. I finally decided to remove the cosmetic differences and make the two files match. I STILL had the same error. So, I looked at the advanced_search_results.php-SSPCv414 file instead of the v415 file... to see the differences. One thing I noticed was that 415 has an extra line added in right below the section where the SPPC module modifies the $from_str: $from_str .= ", " . TABLE_PRODUCTS_DESCRIPTION . " pd, " . TABLE_CATEGORIES . " c, " . TABLE_PRODUCTS_TO_CATEGORIES . " p2c"; (about line #281 ) I commented this out... and my searches now work! Of course, I'm mildly concerned that there's an IF statement ahead of this line, making me wonder if, instead of commenting it out, I should turn it into an ELSE clause. But searches are working now. Thanks! -= Dave =-

    Seperate Pricing Per Customer v3.5

    Greetings All ! I installed the SPPC mod version v.4.1.5 (build 051113)... the "latest" version from July 9th. But when I do a product search, I get an error saying: "1066 - Not unique table/alias: 'pd' " So, I searched the forums / this thread and was pointed to a particular post... http://forums.oscommerce.com/index.php?sho...mp;#entry870200 This situation didn't fit mine... I'm on MySQL 4.0.27, not MySQL five... but I basically did what was suggested to SOME of the code: BEFORE: if ($status_tmp_product_prices_table == true) { $from_str = "from " . TABLE_PRODUCTS . " p left join " . TABLE_MANUFACTURERS . " m using(manufacturers_id), " . TABLE_PRODUCTS_DESCRIPTION . " pd left join " . $product_prices_table . " as tmp_pp using(products_id), " . TABLE_CATEGORIES . " c, " . TABLE_PRODUCTS_TO_CATEGORIES . " p2c"; } elseif ($status_tmp_special_prices_table == true) { $from_str = "from " . TABLE_PRODUCTS . " p left join " . TABLE_MANUFACTURERS . " m using(manufacturers_id), " . TABLE_PRODUCTS_DESCRIPTION . " pd left join " . TABLE_SPECIALS_RETAIL_PRICES . " s on p.products_id = s.products_id , " . TABLE_CATEGORIES . " c, " . TABLE_PRODUCTS_TO_CATEGORIES . " p2c"; } else { $from_str = "from " . TABLE_PRODUCTS . " p left join " . TABLE_MANUFACTURERS . " m using(manufacturers_id), " . TABLE_PRODUCTS_DESCRIPTION . " pd left join " . TABLE_SPECIALS . " s on p.products_id = s.products_id, " . TABLE_CATEGORIES . " c, " . TABLE_PRODUCTS_TO_CATEGORIES . " p2c"; } AFTER: if ($status_tmp_product_prices_table == true) { $from_str = "from " . TABLE_PRODUCTS . " p left join " . TABLE_MANUFACTURERS . " m using(manufacturers_id) " . " left join " . $product_prices_table . " as tmp_pp using(products_id), " . TABLE_CATEGORIES . " c, " . TABLE_PRODUCTS_TO_CATEGORIES . " p2c"; } elseif ($status_tmp_special_prices_table == true) { $from_str = "from " . TABLE_PRODUCTS . " p left join " . TABLE_MANUFACTURERS . " m using(manufacturers_id) " . " left join " . TABLE_SPECIALS_RETAIL_PRICES . " s on p.products_id = s.products_id , " . TABLE_CATEGORIES . " c, " . TABLE_PRODUCTS_TO_CATEGORIES . " p2c"; } else { $from_str = "from " . TABLE_PRODUCTS . " p left join " . TABLE_MANUFACTURERS . " m using(manufacturers_id) " . " left join " . TABLE_SPECIALS . " s on p.products_id = s.products_id, " . TABLE_CATEGORIES . " c, " . TABLE_PRODUCTS_TO_CATEGORIES . " p2c"; } However, after doing THIS now I'm getting: 1066 - Not unique table/alias: 'c' Fearing I was getting into a deeper mess of XXXX.... I figured I'd post here and see what all fixes I need to make to advanced_search_result. Judging from the posts here, I'm wondering why the correct file wasn't included in that July 9th package... or why somebody hasn't posted a fix there on the contribution page since then? Thanks ! -= Dave =-

    TinyMCE

    I don't know... now that I've got the HTMLArea version installed and working... I'm wondering if it's worth the trouble to switch editors? What's to be gained? HTMLArea in "Advanced" mode is pretty darned good. -= Dave =-

    TinyMCE

    Well, you've piqued my interest! I was just rummaging around here, seeing if anybody who has installed the "WYSIWYG HTMLAREA" contribution has swapped-out HTMLArea for something else.... and I stumbled across this thread. I'm about to install that contribution now, but then I plan on going back and putting in either TinyMCE of FCK Editor. Not sure which one to use, but I tell ya.... just based on the NAME (since I'm preparing to sell installations of my customized OSC), I'm leaning towards TinyMCE. I'll definitely come back to this thread once I'm finished with the basic install in a few minutes. Thanks! -= Dave =-
  15. Has anybody installed this contribution.... and then swapped out HTMLArea for some other editor, such as FCKEditor? I was wondering if it's just a matter of locating the Javascript references to HTMLArea and then pointing them to the new/replacement editor? Thanks! -= Dave =-
