  1. Hey guys, What are your opinions on moving the coupon redeem functionality earlier in the checkout process? I think offering the coupon redeem functionality on the shopping_cart.php page may reduce cart abandonment. What are you opinions and how hard would this be to accomplish?

    Who's Online Enhancement 1.4

    i quick and dirty way to take care of that error (Fatal error: Cannot redeclare tep_get_ip_address()...) is to comment out the instance of that function in the /admin/whos_online.php file. // Added by Erick Cedano aka Graphicore. /* function tep_get_ip_address() { if (isset($_SERVER)) { if (isset($_SERVER['HTTP_X_FORWARDED_FOR'])) { $ip = $_SERVER['HTTP_X_FORWARDED_FOR']; } elseif (isset($_SERVER['HTTP_CLIENT_IP'])) { $ip = $_SERVER['HTTP_CLIENT_IP']; } else { $ip = $_SERVER['REMOTE_ADDR']; } } else { if (getenv('HTTP_X_FORWARDED_FOR')) { $ip = getenv('HTTP_X_FORWARDED_FOR'); } elseif (getenv('HTTP_CLIENT_IP')) { $ip = getenv('HTTP_CLIENT_IP'); } else { $ip = getenv('REMOTE_ADDR'); } } } */ this will temporarily fix the problem until the author can explain/justify why this function was declared in this file in the first place.

    Who's Online Enhancement 1.4

    is there any way to make the manufacturer url, i.e. /index.php/manufacturers_id/42, show up by the Manufacturer's name similar to product urls and category urls?
  6. If the table is formatted correctly, you can simply copy and paste into excel. To do so, you would have to copy the content of the report (including the headers if you'd like) and then right click on a cell and select "Paste Special" and then select paste as text. However, in this case, the low stock report contains a table within the table to address the stock levels of products with attributes and this creates a big mess when pasting into excel. If you select a number of rows that do not include attribute stock, and try the method I've outline above, you can see that this copy and paste method is pretty nifty. It would be of great value if someone was willing to format the report to be more copy/paste friendly. THanks, V
  7. Hey Guys!! Thanks for the great work with supporting this contribution! I wanted to ask you guys if there is an easy way to export the low stock report to excel? I have tried quite unsuccessfully to do so. Thanks, Valeeum

    PayPal WPP Direct Payments & Express Checkout Support

    i just spoke to a paypal representative today and found out that paypal recently purchased the payflow gateway from verisign and that they will be offering the paypal payments pro, payflow edition very soon. they have not yet released this news on their site however i have managed to get my hands on the developer's guide for this service. i was told that the api integration will be much simplified and it will cause less headaches than the standard payments pro solution. furthermore, according to the paypal rep, the payflow edition of payments pro will not include in the terms of service the requirement to use this service with express checkout. the rep went as far as to say that paypal has released an internal memo stating that they are not to enforce this requirement for the standard payments pro service either. let me know what you guys think about this development and how you feel this would affect the direction/evolution of the current wpp contribution. regards, valeeum
  10. do any of you guru's know if there exists an inventory report for qtpro? i'm looking for something that would help me export the data into excel. so basically, for this to work, it would have to be similar to the low stock report currently included with this module, however, it would need to have one line item for each product/attribute/attributevalue combination. the current method does not export well into excel. also, how difficult would it be to program a field to capture wholesale cost of each product/attribute combination? i know that there is a products extra field contribution that would work if all attribute costs the same. however, in many instances, this is not the case. these two reports would allow people to more easily calculate profit margins and inventory turns.

    Multi_Vendor_Shipping new thread

    does anybody know if you can restrict shipping methods using this module within certain weight ranges. for example, let's take zone 1: i'm trying to offer first class shipping for items between 0 and 1 lb and offer prioirty for items greater than 1 lb. Both shippingmethods will have the same cost. i would really appreciate if someone can help! thanks, v
  12. please disregard the previous post. the syntax is correct.
  13. I believe I've found a significant bug in this contribution... I recently set up qtpro and am having problems updating stock for products without attributes. Upon reveiwing the code in the checkout_process.php file, I noticed a possible bug that I would like reviewed by the qtpro master coders. Here it is... Around line 256 (i'm using a heavily modified store so this is just an approximation) // do not decrement quantities if products_attributes_filename exists if (!$download_selected) { $stock_left = $stock_values['products_quantity'] - $actual_stock_bought; tep_db_query("UPDATE " . TABLE_PRODUCTS . " SET products_quantity = products_quantity - '" . $actual_stock_bought . "' WHERE products_id = '" . tep_get_prid($order->products[$i]['id']) . "'"); //++++ QT Pro: End Changed Code The text in red below taken from the code above seems to be wrong... tep_db_query("UPDATE " . TABLE_PRODUCTS . " SET products_quantity = products_quantity - '" . $actual_stock_bought . "' WHERE products_id = '" . tep_get_prid($order->products[$i]['id']) . "'"); shouldn't this actually by $stock_values['product_quantity'] instead of product_quantity? Or, wouldn't it make more sense to use the variable $stock_left since it's already computed in the line above this query? This seems wrong to me and would like to have this verified by those who have more experience with this contribution. The stock tracking bug is making invenotry management difficult for me and would like this solved asap. Thanks, V

    Article Manager v1.0

    i beieve you're incorrectly assuming that the article manager manages articles of clothing or something similar. in actuality, it just allows you to post articles (write-ups) on your site. It gives you features similar to a blog where you can post little snippets of relevant text and such. if you're still confused, feel free to pm me
