  1. Is anyone interested in developing a contribution that would assign a per item status instead of just a order status? I can envision the same type drop down menu for each item that is used as the order status. For example an order has four line items. Each line item would have a status option similar to the status assigned to the entire order. So a four line item order would have an over all order status such as partial ship then the order would be opened via the admin panel and each line item would have an individual status. I have searched the available contributions and cannot find a working contribution that does this - or anything similar. If you are interested in helping develop one, please let me know. Thanks. Steve
  2. I looked at the cache SQL table created by this contribution. MySQL shows me: PRIMARY and INDEX keys should not both be set for column `cache_id` as a warning. Is this something to worry about? Also, how often should we reset cache in admin panel? What does this do? Thank in advance. Steve
  3. I installed the contribution on a new oscommerce version (downloaded today). With a slight mod to the seo.class.php file, it works great. One problem - using frontpage to work with files and it needs .htaccess to function. Frontpage won't work if you add the seo rules to .htaccess where the frontpage settings are located. Any ideas for a fix? Thanks in advance. Steve

    Email Responder With Checklist

Enigma1 - Thank you for the suggestion. I will check out the enhanced wishlist contribution.... Any other suggestions would be appreciated :-) Thanks again. Steve
  5. I am looking for help developing an email responder system. The customer goes to a page that lists multiple products, selects products with a check box and then submit. An email is returned to the customer with links to lower, unadvertised prices in the email only for products selected. Any help would be appreciated. Also, if there are any commercial packages capable of the same please let me know. Steve

    Updated CC card validation

Hello, I am having a problem getting credit cards to pass the validation. Specifically, 4480 being the first four. Is there an updated cc.php or is there a easy fix to allow new number combinations? Thanks in advance.

Hello Custodian, What contribution did use? I am having a compatibility problem. Thanks. Steve
  8. Hello All, I am really interested in installing this contribution: Manual Order Entry contribution 585 The problem is that it is not compatible with the latest version of OSC. It returns tep_array_merg errors when installed. Is there an updated version? Thanks. Steve

    Official PayPal IPN Support Thread

Hello All, Paypal is working great on my site! One issue - is there a way to add a handling fee for PayPal orders to offset the higher rates? The idea would be to add $5.00 to every order total when purchased with PayPal and not add when purchased through our credit card portal. Any ideas would be appreciated. Steve

    session id

Hello All, I just installed a contribution and got this error: Warning: session_start(): Cannot send session cookie - headers already sent by (output started at /public_html/includes/filenames.php:69) in public_html/includes/functions/sessions.php on line 67 Warning: session_start(): Cannot send session cache limiter - headers already sent (output started at /public_html/includes/filenames.php:69) in public_html/includes/functions/sessions.php on line 67 Could this be due to a configure.php error? Thanks. Steve

    individual item status

Hello All, Is there a contribution that would provide individual status and not just overall order status? If you have three items, one might be back ordered, one shipped, one in process. Right now, osCommerce only provides status updates for the entire order. Is there a contrib that allow status updates by line item? Thanks in advance. Steve

    individual item status

I agree that this is essential to a well working store - you need to provide individual order status based upon each line item - not just one overall status. Steve

    Multi_Vendor_Shipping new thread

Hello Craig, I am using the vendor shipping but getting this error: Warning: Division by zero in /catalog/includes/classes/vendor_shipping.php on line 93 Warning: Division by zero in /catalog/includes/classes/vendor_shipping.php on line 94 when I set a per item shipping cost (for example $1.00) and I go to checkout. I am using the MVS with a per item cost = $1.00 and get this error at the top of the page. Thanks. STeve

Hello Craig, I found the issue. I had reloaded some fresh php files and it disabled vendor shipping. Thanks again. Steve

    Multi_Vendor_Shipping new thread

Hello Craig, This is probably a simple question but the 'shipping' option seems to overide the vendor preference shipping. For example, I set the vendor shipping to per item $5.00 but the oscommerce 'shipping' tab within admin is set for per item $2.50. This seems to over-ride the vendor preferences. Is there an on off configuration that give precedence to the vendor and not admin shipping? I did get the easypopulate working. Thanks. Steve

    Multi_Vendor_Shipping new thread

Hello Craig, One problem I did have when I used the vendor_mod_easypopulate.php which I renamed to easypopulate.php, is that you cannot download a txt file to modify. It gave me this error: download stream at dltype=full from our server. Steve

    Multi_Vendor_Shipping new thread

Hello Craig, This is a great mod since we do some drop shipping and can just email the order to the vendor. One more question: what is the correct version of easypopulate.php to support the MVS mod? I used the one included but still not getting the vendor related columns. I noticed a contrib that has vendor_mod_populate (or something similar) but still haven't found the version with vendor specific info. What version should be use for the full mod (vendor emails, etc..) Thanks for the great mod and excellent support! Steve

    Multi_Vendor_Shipping new thread

Hello Craig, Hopefully this is the last issue so I can get the mod online. Here is an error that I am having when I open my store front: Warning: main(includes/modules/FILENAME_UPCOMING_PRODUCTS): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/metricbi/public_html/ecommerce/os/catalog/index.php on line 296 I think this is based on not having closed brackets as you stated. Multi_Vendor_Shipping new thread

Hello Craig, I am getting an unusual error when I go to open the store front: Fatal error: Cannot redeclare tep_set_banner_status() (previously declared in /home/metricbi/public_html/ecommerce/os/catalog/includes/functions/general.php:748) in /home/metricbi/public_html/ecommerce/os/catalog/includes/functions/banner.php on line 15 There seems to be a conflict between banner.php and the declaration within the general.php in the mod. Hello All, I am past the mental lapse (instructions are a terrible thing to waste!). Now I am struggling with easypopulate. Where are the categories needed for this mod using easypopulate spreadsheets? Steve <{POST_SNAPBACK}>

    Multi_Vendor_Shipping new thread

Hello Craig! Thanks for the reply. The problem I seem to be having is with the easypopulate side of the equation. Is there a sample file with required fields that easypopulate can model after? Is there a easypopulate.php file that can already work with MVS? I am getting this error even after I add new columns in my easypopulate spreadsheet. 1054 - Unknown column 'p.products_qty_blocks' in 'field list' SELECT p.products_id as v_products_id, p.products_model as v_products_model, p.products_image as v_products_image, p.products_price as v_products_price, p.products_qty_blocks as v_products_qty_blocks, p.products_weight as v_products_weight, p.products_date_added as v_date_avail, p.products_tax_class_id as v_tax_class_id, p.products_quantity as v_products_quantity, p.manufacturers_id as v_manufacturers_id, p.distributors_id as v_distributors_id, subc.categories_id as v_categories_id FROM products as p, categories as subc, products_to_categories as ptoc WHERE p.products_id = ptoc.products_id AND p.products_model = '101745' AND ptoc.categories_id = subc.categories_id Steve [ quote=blucollarguy,May 14 2005, 01:36 PM] Yes Steve, that is right. We already have the breakdown of each edit for each file. And also YES, the hard work has already been done, thats why we released the package. This is a very capable mod, I'm sure once you get it installed you will get some very valuable use out of it, as we do. Good Luck with the install, Craig :) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>

I am just new to the MVS but it seems to be exactly what I want to test for the production release. I am noticing that the admin install and catalog install already have the changes mentioned in the files to edit section of these docs. Someone has already done the hard work - thanks. Is this correct?
