I' ve added this great brilliant contrib to my shop. There are still some minor issues (like, admin can not change the image of the customers added product and also a sales report) but for the begining I can live with that. What I really need right now is to validate the input data from the customer. There are so many users how do not put in all required information. Posting the product data should be only possible if all required fields have been filed out. 1.) Do have anyone an idea how to implement the form validation into customer_add? 2.) My customers do need to accept the terms and policies, by activating a checkbox. Any idea how to put this into the customer_add.php`? Thank you very much in advance

You need to add in a file called spiffycalender (or sounds similar, don't know right now) to add a z-index with value 5. Read the complete thread and you'll find the answer.

I still have problems with the accepted payment receiving preferences. I did what you said and blocked receiving echeck payments but anyway this is offered for the buyer. It is an additional payment type and up to the customer to use it. Unfortunately especially in germany credit cards are not widely popular :(. Therefore I have to think and offer alternative payment types.

In that case I would update the status manually. The good thing is, that moneybookers do not charge the merchant for receiving money. You'll be charged when you transfer the money to your bank account. Paypal costs 35cnet + 2,9-3,9 %. This is much to high if your shop has micropayment download products for 99 cent or 1,99 dollar. ) Did you saw any possible code incompatibilities between paypal ipn and moneybookers?

AlexStudio and all others, do you only offer PayPal IPN as payment module for download shops? What about moneybookers as alternative? As far as I know they have lower fees and a contibutions is also available. RTFM of Downloads Controller: Includes Free Shipping and Free Payment Modules. It only does not explain how to activate it. :-" This possibility is shipped with the Downloads Controller (Download_Controllerv5.3 MS2.2_2). After you have installed the Downloads Controller you need to activate it. :blush: Go to OSC Admin > Modules > Payment and activate: Free Charge Module and enable it there. Change also the "Set Order Status" to "11 Downloads now available" in this payment module. Than buy a "downloadable" product with price 0 and checkout. I give up! Installing this contrib is very difficult. My tipp for everyone who anyway wanna give a try, here are some infos which are no where mentioned: - you need to copy the general.js in to the required folder this is missing. Find out which folder it is. this is no where mentioned - you need to rename index.php to supplier_area.php, I think this needs to be changed in supplier_categories... (sorry don't have the files available right now) - somewhere at the beginning of this thread you'll find a post which tells you to copy images. therefore you should browse all previous contrib versions of this contirbution, in some file you'll find them. There were several other things which need to be done, but they are no where mentioned.

Ahmm Even if Download Controller and PayPal IPN have been set up properly. What makes sure that the user does not download it directly from this path: www.anystorexyz.com/catalog/download/anyfile.zip At least in my shop this is possible :( regardless of the existing Download Controller and the PayPal IPN contributions. The only thing the user needs to know is the filename. Once he paid, he can post everywhere the direct link for download. I don't think that this is ok. Please help. Thank you

Current situation: In my case: If I have a download product with price 0 and I arrive at the checkout point: The checkout process tells me that currently there is only one payment option available: which is: PayPal IPN. When I continue with the checkout, I am redirected to paypal to login and pay. :blink: OK, now you are recommending, that I need to change the code that it allows for download if price is zero. As I am a non programmer :blush: I was searching for an available "done" solution. :-"

I have installed the download controller contribution and the paypal ipn contrib. So Downloads are only available after payments have been verified from paypal. But for free download products, there shouldn't be any necessity to be redirected to paypal when a free download product has been choosen.

Not technical stuff but anyway very interessting for these both contributions. Is some one already using paypals micropayment with these both contributions? PayPals website declares that it is for US to US, GB to GB, AU to AU, and EU to EU transactions for Business and Premier accounts available (5ct + 5%) Have look here: https://www.paypal.com/IntegrationCenter/ic...ropayments.html But my request was answered that it is only in US available. Can someone confirm this? Or better do have anybody further info on this, when it will be in EU available? Thanks in advance!

Yes, after disabling echeck in my selling preferences, the option is no more available for payment. And your suggestion from above is a very good idea. As Im a non programmer I'll need someones help.

:rolleyes: I guessed something like that, that this needs to be modified "early this morning while driving to work". I'll check it out. But BTW, why not to use that payment tpye also? Why disable this payment type? Wouldn't it be possible to allow buyers to pay via paypal by echeck? 1.) I guess the problem would be, even if the payment status in paypal changes from pending to verified, the OSC shop would not recognize it. Am I Right? 2.) So even when I would like to allow buyers to pay by echeck via paypal, what would this require? Would it require to setup an additional paypal account with a different e-mail and to activate the standard paypal payment module in OSC with the second mail adresse?

I think I found a big issue in the PayPal IPN with Download Controller :'( I've set up an additional Account (selected Germany as residence!!!) in the Sandbox which do not have a credit card! Just added a bank account for this test user. Went to the download shop, picked an download article and checked out using PayPal IPN. After logging in as the buyer for payment in PayPal I 've choose the option to pay by "Payment Type: Electronic Funds Transfer", cause I did not setup a credit card for this test account. Electronic Funds Transfer means, the user first needs to transfer money from its bank account to paypal (which takes 3 days) and pay pal will forward it to the shop owner after receiving it from the buyer. If the buyer do not transfer the money to paypal, nothing will happen, I think this transaction will be automatically deleted after a certain time! Right after this the buyer is already able to download the product, although the payment has status: pending in the paypal history (Status: Pending) The admin area also shows status: 11 Downloads Now Available PayPal IPN Verified [Pending (Unverified; 1.16EUR); echeck] This is a very critical issue, as the status pending in paypal is not really syncronized with the status of the OSC shop. As long as paypal status has pending for that payment transaction, the status in the osc shop should be not "download now available". I'm sure that I can download from a lot of productive live shops the download products without paying. All I need is a paypal account which do not have a credit card. Cause then paypal offers to pay by : Electronic Funds Transfer. Once I have the downloaded good, I 'll do not send the money to paypal. Easy trick! Any ideas how to fix this? Thanks in advance.

1. Turn of PayPal IPN and check if you are able to donwload the product. 2. Activate PayPal IPN and set the Status to "Update" in Configuration > Orders for the specific order. Then go to my profile and check if you see the download link at the bottom.

I compared all "old files" with "new files". There are not only fixes in the general.php. It took me about 5 hours to merge the webmakers DownloadController modification into the lates OSC 2.2ms2-060817 Build. The good thing is, that all webmakers modification are marked at the begining with BOF webmakers and end of modification with EOF webmakers Currently I'm testing, if it works, I can upload it to the DownloadController Contrib if requested.

I think its not that easy to identify which code. To find out which code, I think I would need the original code in Version MS1 to compare. Any other idea? If not where can I get OSC MS1?
