SECPay and osC order number match

Can anybody help with this? I need to have the order number generated by osC sent to SECay so their confirmation email matches the order. What's unclear to me is that I'm using a random order number contrib that creates a 'standard' integer but SECPay is receiving an order number from my cart that is based on the date and time, along the lines of 'mystore_20050622052758'. 'Ritun' posted a possible fix 2 1/2 years ago. His problem was similar and he came up with a [to quote] 'crude fix'. I didn't fully understand the procedure but wanted to ask others first anyway. Thanks in advance

    SECPay order numbers

I had no problem with integrating SECPay but at the moment I'm only using their test account (pending client's application). All works well, but.... The order number appears to not be passed to SECPay, consequently the number they generate doesn't match osC's number. I read in an earlier posting that someone had fudged this but wondered if, in my case, it was only happening because I'm using their test account. Any thoughts? If not, can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks people

    UK install issue

Hi Simon, Well in a similar desperate move I ended up adding a 'No County' option to the database (so it appears in the County drop-down) with nothing in the value field so that addresses are still formatted correctly. The only problem with that is I then had to add (or 'No County') next to each of the 'State' (or in my case 'County/State') fields and there a few of them - one in each place you can edit/add an address. Interestingly I notice the list of counties is not comprehensive anyway; where's 'West Midlands' for example? I know there's a contribution with a complete set of UK Counties in but I don't want to risk screwing my database. Maybe I'll be kind and add the missing ones manually. Like you, I'm new-ish to this too although I do have a techie background. I figure you just have to backup/tweak/check in that order every time you make a change. You must give yourself a return path for when you screw it all up! Good luck

    UK install issue

Did anyone make any headway with this? I have precisely te same problem. Surely it must be the same for any major UK town. What would a buyer from Manchester put in as the county for example?

Thanks. I'm convinced I uploaded everything but I unless I do it all again I guess I'll never be sure. May be a daft question: As the merchant should I (can I) receive an email saying an order has been placed?

My stupidity even astounds me sometimes. I actually woke up at 6:30am this morning and the very first thing I thought was "Oh my God I didn't run the sql script again!" Of course, it works fine now. Somehow I think I'm not the only OSC 'developer' that eats, sleeps and drinks OSC until it works as they want. If you don't mind I do have three further questions: 1) When I move forwards through the cart (as a customer) to the payment information page (checkout_payment.php) I get the following text: Payment Method This is currently the only payment method available to use on this order. PayPal MODULE_PAYMENT_PAYPAL_CC_TEXT MODULE_PAYMENT_PAYPAL_CC_DESCRIPTION MODULE_PAYMENT_PAYPAL_CC_URL_TEXT and the two 'module_payment...' lines are repeated on the subsequent transfer page before getting to PayPal. 2) I have to enter a contact telephone number on the PayPal payment page even though I have the option set to 'off' (as receommended) in the PayPal options. 3) I still have to click on 'Return to Merchant' in the PayPal final page even though I have 'Auto Return' selected. Really appreciate your help. Thanks.

Thanks for the tip. All is working well now I think except for one thing. Having completed my transaction with PayPal and clicked to return to the shopping cart I got the following error: 1054 - Unknown column 'payment_id' in 'field list' select payment_id from orders where orders_id ='1' [TEP STOP] This was back at my site at the url: http://www.creativeadmintechnology.net/cat...out_success.php? And when I go into PayPal IPN in OSC Admin there's nothing there, and in Orders I get this: 1054 - Unknown column 'o.payment_id' in 'on clause' select p.payment_status from paypal p left join orders o on p.paypal_id = o.payment_id where o.orders_id ='1' [TEP STOP] Any thoughts?

Problem solved. I had duplicated the edited files for safety and didn't realise I couldn't leave them in the same folder even though they were named differently. Removed the dupes - all is well. Thanks.

Are the two declarations likely to be in separate files? I've checked the 'paypal.php' file that came with the download (i.e. a file I've not had to edit) and there's only one declaration in there. I'm not sure where else to look.

PayPal_Shopping_Cart_IPN_v3.0a - Module error message, I've just been through the list of updates and amendments to install PayPal_Shopping_Cart_IPN_v3.0a and all seems to have gone well apart from this: When I click on Modules in the Admin system I get the following error message: Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class paypal in /home/fhlinux196/c/creativeadmintechnology.net/user/htdocs/catalog/includes/modules/payment/paypal.php on line 20 I've checked and re-checked what I've done but it's beyond me. Any help would be much appreciated.
