    Automatic Store Feeds Contribution

Hi Tommy, Just like that I don't have any other idea. Maybe you could add some echo "line xxx"; in different places in the part of the code where the ftping is happening, to find out precisely where is the problem happening in the code. That would give you (and us) more information about the cause of the problem. Regards, -Ben

Hi Tommy, So you say that you can log in with your FTP client to google with your infos. Do you have a feed file which has been create in your directory /feeds And have you changed the permissions for that directory? If not, that is quite probably the cause of your error. Tell us how it goes. Regards, -Ben Martin

    Automatic Store Feeds Contribution

Hi Gojuryu, Not, it doesn't for now, but someone had posted a link towards a fix in the previous page, so you could use that for now (but that version is not multi-language). I had made for myself a version with the new requirements (including multi-languages, which permits to submit to Google Base US, UK and Germany), and will add it in the contribution section as the v3.3 in a few days. I'll also post a notice here, so stay tuned for it! :) Regards, -Ben

Hi Dailce, The cause of that is in your /admin/includes/configure.php . You have a "https" there, and you simply need to change it to "http" in your case. It could be at HTTP_SERVER or HTTP_CATALOG_SERVER . Tell us how it goes, Regards, -Ben

Hi PieterToo, This is a small bug related to MySQL 5. I had it when first installing RCS, and wrote about it in the forums a 1 or 2 pages ago. Here is my initial post: http://forums.oscommerce.com/index.php?sho...p;#entry1004863 and the solution is a few posts below. Regards, -Ben

Hi PieterToo, It looks like you have twice the SQL entries for RCS in your MySQL database. You probably have imported the SQL data a second time. Using phpMyAdmin, look in your table "configuration". (First, make a backup of your database! Most important step! :) ) There will be a lot of stuff there, and looking carefully you will find the entries relating to RCS. Hint: The "configuration_group_id" for the entries of RCS should be 6501. You will probably notice some double entries, that you will need to remove to fix your problem. Regards, -Ben
  7. Hi Karim, I finally tried PayPal IPN module for myself, and I found out that it already is multi-languages since a few versions. You'll find it here: http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,2679/ I highly recommend it, as it is very easy to install and very useful for a store owner. Regards, -Ben

Hi Alfredo, It looks to me that you had forgotten to make the step 3 of the installation (to edit your catalog/admin/includes/column_left.php ) Try to re-read the installation instructions again to be sure there is nothing else you have forgotten. Tell us how it goes. Regards, -Ben

    Recover Cart Sales

Hi PieterToo, First you could try to look if the files of RCS are still there. These are: /catalog/admin/recover_cart_sales.php /catalog/admin/stats_recover_cart_sales.php + the same 2 files in: /catalog/admin/includes/languages/[your_language]/ (I suppose that you still have some of these files, otherwise you would have spoken about some errors in the Configuration area.) Then if you open these files, the version should be written at the top. I think that it is simply that you somehow found yourself with an un-updated version of your /catalog/admin/includes/boxes/reports.php and of your /catalog/admin/includes/boxes/tools.php So there is a good chance that you would only need to perfrom the Steps 7 and 8 of the installation instructions to fix your problem. (Download the package again to see the installation instructions.) I would also suggest to go through all the installation steps to *verify* if they have been done. (Don't import the sql file again without verifying if it's not already there! Verify first, using phpMyAdmin or other.) You will fix your problem that way. Regards, -Ben

Hi Ian, The error you have is because you haven't completed that step 9. The function "tep_get_products_special_price()" is what permits osCommerce to find out the price of products in special. Normaly this function is used only in the storefront (and not in the admin section) so that's why it is not available in the admin - and that's why you are having this error. So you need to copy *your* "tep_get_products_special_price()" function from *your* /catalog/includes/functions/general.php into /catalog/admin/includes/functions/general.php So just open your file /catalog/includes/functions/general.php search in it for: tep_get_products_special_price and copy all the block of code of this function (until the beginning of the next function). Then paste that in /catalog/admin/includes/functions/general.php (anywhere in between 2 functions). And that's it, it will work... Regards, -Ben

Hi Melissa, A 500 Internal Server error is a generic type of error - it doesn't tell us much about the error itself. So you will need to contact your web host (as explained in the error message) with the date and time, and what's you've done, so that they can look in the logs and give you more information about this error. It is possible that your web server is misconfigured in some small way, and that it causes problems only for specific operations. I don't know too much what it could be. Perhaps that you can try to search elsewhere in the forums for "500 Internal Server error", maybe you will find some hints or a solution. Tell us what happens with it. Regards, -Ben

Hi lostndazed, I think that it would not be so difficult to do, it would just need time to do it. You could re-use the mysql queries from the current feeds and simply modify the output (by inserting the different <> tags where they need to be). I don't know for the header tags contribution, as I do not use it personnaly, but you could simply tweak the mysql query to get this information as well. I would suggest though that you release this under a different contribution name, so that it would be easier to track and to manage the versions. Please post here if you manage to do this - I'd be interested to use that, but unfortunately don't have enough time to make it right now. Regards, -Ben

Ben, if you were trying to submit to Google Base US *and* UK, then use this newer version (v3.2a), that will fix your problem. (Simply replace froogle_us.php & froogle_uk.php by the new ones.) The US and UK feeds had the same ids, so Google Base considered the products as being duplicate and was only displaying the more recent submited feed. Regards, -Ben

    Automatic Store Feeds Contribution

I fixed a bug in my multi-language version of Automated Store Feeds v3.2 which prevented the items to be listed in Google Base US *and* UK. (I changed the id for the US and UK feeds, so that they have distinct ids, which is a requirement of Google Base.) The fixed version (v3.2a) is now available in the contribution section: http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,4455 If you are trying to submit your items to Google Base US & UK, then you need to use this newer version. (Simply replace froogle_us.php & froogle_uk.php by the new ones.) Regards, -Ben

Hi Ben, In your Google base account, somewhere near where you define the name of the file to upload, it tells you the status of your file. (Sorry, I can't tell you with more precision as I have a multi-user account and the interface is different there.) Regards, -Ben

Hi baalwww, Check to see if your paths are all alright in your /catalog/admin/configure.php It seems to me that there could be a path problem since your feed file is not placed where it should be. Tell us how it goes. Regards, -Ben

Hi Ben, Yes, it takes a little while (generally a few hours) for Google to process your file. You'll see it's status in your Google base account (if it's uploaded, processed, etc.) It then should now be arrived for you. Regards, -Ben

    Recover Cart Sales

Hi Lane, I am running php v5.2.0 with Apache v1.3.37, under CentOS. However, this error doesn't happen on a store installed locally on my computer (a Windows machine running php v5.0.4 and Apache v1.3.3). So I had a closer look at it and at the mktime function. Here is what I found: From: http://de2.php.net/manual/en/function.mktime.php The function changed at php v5.1.0 (which is straight in between the 2 php versions I use): "The is_dst parameter became deprecated. Made the function return FALSE on error, instead of -1. Fixed the function to accept the year, month and day to be all passed as zero." As well, on all the examples on this page, the function mktime was shown like this: mktime(0, 0, 0, 12, 32, 1997) So I tried to modify the line 27 of stats_recover_cart_sales.php from: return date(DATE_FORMAT, mktime('', '', '', $month, $day, $year)); to: return date(DATE_FORMAT, mktime(0, 0, 0, $month, $day, $year)); and the error doesn't appear anymore! So I'd be inclined to think that it is due to the php version change. Then, since this modified line is accepted by older version of php as well, I would then suggest to include this little change in the next release of RCS. So that little glitch is solved for me. Thanks for your quick reply as well! Regards, -Ben

The contribution works well for me. The only little glitch I have is that the report gives me a: Warning: mktime() expects parameter 1 to be long, string given in /home/spunshop/public_html/demo/admin/stats_recover_cart_sales.php on line 27 The line 27 of stats_recover_cart_sales.php is: return date(DATE_FORMAT, mktime('', '', '', $month, $day, $year)); I am surprised that nobody else reported that error in the forums. Anybody has an idea of the cause of that? I also am using the register_globals (turned off) contribution (and had made the required modification for RCS to work properly in recover_cart_sales.php) Btw: Great contribution Lane! And you also deserve a sincere applause for the way the continue to support and maintain this contribution and by responding to all those emails - despite your huge work schedule, as I could read. Automatic Store Feeds Contribution

I have made a version of the Google Base feeders to take the product descriptions in the different languages, to be able to submit to Google Bas US, UK and Germany. This will be useful for shops having more than 1 language. I have integrated it into the Automated Store Feeds as the v3.2, available in the same contribution page: http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,4455 ------------ Automated Store Feeds v3.2: Added support for multi-languages stores, to generate feeds in the choosen language for Google Base (US, UK and Germany) and in English with USD for bidhopper.com New features: - Modified the Google Base feeders to permit to select the language of the feed. (Useful especially for non-English stores.) - Created a froogle_us.php, froogle_uk.php and froogle_de.php for easy submitting to the different localizations of Google Base. - Modified the sql file to insert entries in the database - Updated the admin interface - Modified the output of the id (last field of the feed) of the froogle feed, to respect the specifications of Google Base. (You need to have different ID for products submitted to Google Base US than for those sumbitted to Google Base UK & DE, otherwise Google considers them duplicate and removes them. So added a simple "us", "uk" and "de" to the id.) - Fetching of the path is now done automatically (no need for manual editing) if currency conversion is enabled in the Google Base feed - Modified the bidhopper feeder to get the prices in special (and not the normal prices) for special items: - Modified the bidhopper feeder to specifically select the English language (useful for shop who don't have English as their default language) - Modified the bidhopper.com feeder to accept currency conversion to USD. Bug/fixes: - Fixed an error of a double "/" in the path of the Froogle feed ------------ I hope it can be useful to others. Regards, -Ben

In case it can be useful to someone, I've made a version of the bidhopper.com feeder that supports currency conversion (useful if your main currency is not US Dollars). bidhopper feed problem

Hi Ann & Kathryn, I also needed to have the bidhopper.com feed in another currency, so I modified it for that and released the modification in the currency section. It works well for me (for Euros to USD and for Indian Rupees to USD). The URL of this contribution is: http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,4455 Kathryn, I didn't made a modification for Ultimate URL since I don't use this contribution. But perhaps check if other feeds are compatible with this contribution, and if so check the code they are using and then reproduce the modifications in bidhopper.php for you. Regards, -Ben
  23. Hi schlegk, I had a quick look without finding the right place. I'm a bit busy at the moment, but I'll look at it closer later on, as I want to start using this module anyways, and I'll need to have the language selected automaticaly. I'm not a MySQL expert, unfortunately, but I'm sure the solution must not be so complicated. Well, I can conceive the solution easily, it then just need to be translated into code! :) Regards, -Ben

    Automatic Store Feeds Contribution

Hi Mushindo, Thanks for this contribution. It works well for me. I've slightly modified it to run on a shop for Google Base US and for Google Base UK, with the required currencies and it works perfectly for me. Now I'd love to make a feed for Google DE, since this shop is also in German. But the description indeed needs to be in German. Would you know how to modify the code to pick up the descriptions in another language? It could also be integrated into the next version of this contribution. Ideally a few variab les could be added at the beginning of the file (like it is presently done for the currency), e.g.: $other_language = true; // Use another language than the default one. Default = false $language = "de"; // Use that language if $other_language is true. Thanks, -Ben

    edgeoi feed error

I finally found the problem. The though came to my mind that I was not using the stock management for this shop, so all the products had the quantity of "0", which made the SELECT query return 0 products because of that part of the query: and p.products_quantity>0 So I simply removed it from the query and now it works well.
