  1. Hi. I'm having a minor issue with html tags embeded in my product names. A product name examlpe: Double Ply Nylon Dog Collar<br>Low Visibility Camo I put a line break in there just because it reads better. It Ends up with a URL like this: http://www.apexdog.com/double-ply-nylon-dog-collarbrlow-visibility-camo-p-59.html And looks like this in google: Double Ply Nylon Dog Collar<br>Low Visibility Camo [SPP1649] $6.99 ... Double Ply Nylon Dog Collar<br>Low Visibility Camo Click to ... safety collar features tough double layer construction ... for waterfowl hunters, the nylon material is ... www.apexdog.com/ double-ply-nylonbrlowviz-camouflage-collarbrsafety-center-p-59.html - How this looks in google is probably not related the Ultimate SEO Contrib, but if It would be a good start to figure out how to strip the characters out of the URL. Any help??

    Hi. I just installed RecoverCartSales1.4f I tried testing by placing a an item in my cart & logging off at the payment page. Admin > Reports > Recover Carts shows: "Examined Records 0" & "Recovered Sales 0" Apparently something is not right... Any ideas where to start looking ????
  5. Hi. I have had this contrib installed for a few weeks now. The links look good but.... This link http://www.apexdog.com/34petflex-bandage-434-5yd34-p-28.html looks like this in googles index http://www.apexdog.com/34petflex-bandage-434-5yd34-p-28.html?name=%26%2334%3BPetFlex%20Bandage%204%26%2334%3B%20x%205yd%26%2334%3B The page cache/snapshot date reported by google is Feb 6, 2005 22:03:49 GMT, so am I just seeing old info in the google index that will be replace with the SEO link over time, or is all the "?name=%26%2334%3BPetFlex%20Band...." garbage coming from somewhere else? I also have a site map contib loaded & modified to work with the ultimate SEO URL contribution. Links look good there too.
  6. No, I still have the problem. I ended up using oscmax & I just installed the usps label contribution yesterday & I still have the problem. I was going to look into changing the path & directory they are in, but I haven't gotten that far with it yet.
  7. Problem solved. The new code include('includes/seo_cache.php'); if (isset($HTTP_GET_VARS['cName']) && de..................... was pasted into application_top.php twice Thanks.
  8. Hi I have the Ultimate URL contribution installed here: www.apexdog.com, running oscmax 1.7 Everything seems to work fine but I am receiving an intermittent fatal error: Fatal error: Cannot redeclare strip() (previously declared in /home/apexdog2/public_html/includes/seo_cache.php:40) in /home/apexdog2/public_html/includes/seo_cache.php on line 40 It seems to happen in IE, but not firefox. IE will load the page if you hit the refresh button. Update: It happens in firefox as well.... Any ideas?
  9. I installed "9 Jan 2005 - USPS Shipping Labels 1.7c" today & it seems to work, but I can't get the 2 buttons to show at the bottom of the orders page. I read the previous posts about this & double checked everything. The path is right, I can view the page source & copy the path into the url & see the image by itself. You can verify here http://www.apexdog.com/includes/languages/...belcustomer.gif and here https://www.apexdog.com/includes/languages/...belcustomer.gif The code in the /admin/orders.php page is <td colspan="2" align="right"> <?php echo '<a href="' . tep_href_link(FILENAME_ORDERS_INVOICE, 'oID=' . $HTTP_GET_VARS['oID']) . '" TARGET="_blank">' . tep_image_button('button_invoice.gif', IMAGE_ORDERS_INVOICE) . '</a> <a href="' . tep_href_link(FILENAME_ORDERS_PACKINGSLIP, 'oID=' . $HTTP_GET_VARS['oID']) . '" TARGET="_blank">' . tep_image_button('button_packingslip.gif', IMAGE_ORDERS_PACKINGSLIP) . '</a> <a href="' . tep_href_link(FILENAME_ORDERS_CUSTOMERSHIPPINGLABEL, 'oID=' . $HTTP_GET_VARS['oID']) . '" TARGET="_blank">' . tep_image_button('button_labelcustomer.gif', IMAGE_ORDERS_LABELCUSTOMER) . '</a> <a href="' . tep_href_link(FILENAME_ORDERS_DIFFERENTSHIPPING, 'oID=' . $HTTP_GET_VARS['oID']) . '" TARGET="_blank">' . tep_image_button('button_labelshipping.gif', IMAGE_ORDERS_DIFFERENTSHIPPING) . '</a> <a href="' . tep_href_link(FILENAME_ORDERS, tep_get_all_get_params(array('action'))) . '">' . tep_image_button('button_back.gif', IMAGE_BACK) . '</a>'; ?></td> It's got to be something simple I'm not seeing......... :blink: Any ideas
  10. I agree about the search & breadcrumb issue, it's not that important. I also have this site map contribution installed http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,1529 The links in that site map are not rewritten either. I am willing to hack away at it to get the SEF urls in the site map, but I don't have much php experience so I need someone to point me in the right direction. My thoughs are to leave most of the site map code as is, but instead of displaying the product name & model with Link, put that all into a variable or array so it can be reformatted & displayed with a SEF link. This is the code that displays the link in the site map contribution. // display the product model and name with link (including language): echo "<td class=main>" . $products['products_model'] . "</td><td class=main>\n<a href=\"" . tep_href_link(FILENAME_PRODUCT_INFO, 'name=' .str_replace("/", "/", rawurlencode($prod_name['products_name'])). '&products_id=' . $prod_name['products_id'] . '&language=' . $this_language_code, 'NONSSL', true) . "\">" . $prod_name['products_name'] . "</a></tr>";
  11. Hi. I just installed Ultimate SEO URLs. Its the best contribution that I have installed & the documentation is excellent. But, I have a small problem. Results returned by the advanced search function are not rewritten, breadcrumbs links on product pages arrived at through the advanced search results also not rewritten. You can try it here: www.apexdog.com Server info (Apache on *NIX machine, etc) Linux 2.4.21-27.0.1.ELsmp MySQL 4.0.22-standard 4.3.10 (Zend: 1.3.0) Apache 1.3.33 Exact problem Described above What you've tried to solve it Make this post ...and any debuggin you've done None, don't know where to start

    All Products and Site Map

    Hi. I'm setting up a new store & just installed this contribution. I don't understand the reasoning behind the hidden links & all that.. So, I changed the code that shows the links in the header to this: <td align="right" class="headerNavigation" width="125"> <table border="0" width="100%" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0"> <tr> <td align="right" class="headerNavigation"><?php echo '<a href="' . tep_href_link(FILENAME_SITE_MAP, '', 'NONSSL', true) . '">' . 'Site Map</a>'; ?> </td> </tr> </table> You can see it in action here Any comments good or bad as far as effectiveness & SEO?
