    Problems with colimn_left in administrator

Are you 100% sure that you changed all entries of HTTP to HTTPS in the admin/includes/configure file and changed the define('ENABLE_SSL', false); to define('ENABLE_SSL', true); Same should be done in the catalogue folder configure file.

    Sitemap SEO

@Jack_mcs Jack Thanks for the great addon. Works great on 1.0.5.0. There are a few errors with the boxes control page but I dont use that any way. Only thing I did was to change one line in the admin/includes/languages/english/modules/boxes/sitemap_seo.php file to define('MODULES_ADMIN_MENU_HEADING_SITEMAP_SEO', '<i class="fas fa-sitemap fa-fw mr-1"></i>Sitemap SEO'); which added a sitemap icon next to the text so that made all the admin box titles look the same on the page.
  5. I am sure if you post in the commercial support section linked below someone may be able to help. I am just a mere store owner with the coding skills of a wombat. https://forums.oscommerce.com/forum/79-commercial-support-inquiries/
  6. Its down to you really what you use. Phoenix 1.0.5.0.is a stable release and many addons have been coded for that. Any version under that is also safe to use but you will have to check if any updates after that version will need to be done. Easier to go with 1.0.5.0. Anything above that figure should only really be used in a test environment. Whether an addon has been converted to run on this version only you will be able to find that out, as only you know what you use. If any have not been converted you are free to get it updated and if you wanted to, you could release it back to the community but you dont have to its up to you. It will be quicker to pay to get it done rather than wait for others to do it. If you are not already a member join the Phoenix club, become a supporter if you want to get some great code snippets available to improve most sites which is a bonus for giving your paid support. Again up to you whether you feel it will be worthwhile. If you have found a genuine bug and its not been found before, please report it.
  7. @burt Gary thanks for that big long post above. Its about time that these people saw all the work that has been put in by you and a few others to actually keep alive what was an outdated lump of software that had had no serious updating in 3 or 4 years (if not longer), was a security risk. Dont forget that oscommerce marketing still states that there are over 7000 free addons regardless of whether they actually work, or are even well coded. These people seem to forget that without your input they would all be using Opencart or some other software. If paid supporters get additional code to improve their stores, thats what supporting gets them. If they choose not to support they cannot expect to get the additional code, now or in the future. I think you are too generous giving away some of your work in core code updates. Without myself and 62 other people who can actually see a future for the software, this argument would not be happening. I for one am fully appreciative of all the hard work that has had to happen, and that will hopefully continue to happen. Its not just the coding as you say, its the support and the abuse that you have to take. Its just very annoying when a certain small group of people try to spread negativity and lies about what is happening, and still dont see the benefits of what that work is doing and is bringing them. These people must learn to accept that peoples time and effort should be rewarded either fully or partially. I bet they dont offer to work for nearly free. More importantly they should stop all the PMs that are sent, and yes even I receive them from a few, and start actually being positive and start helping move this project forward, and find ways of getting other coders and shop owners interested. I know if I was reading some of the comments in the posts throughout this forum I would stay away. If they feel so strongly about their principles what are they even doing here. Go and find a piece of software that you do like.

    [Contribution] Cross Sell (X-Sell) Admin

Rainer. Thanks very much. I will take a look. Hopefully it will be suitable. If not it may be made to work, or playing around and thinking way above my pay grade it may be possible to use the back end from one and the front end from another and mix and match them both to get the best of both worlds. Will give me something to do if it ever gets quiet here.

    [Contribution] Cross Sell (X-Sell) Admin

Many thanks. Is it as easy to use with setting up multiple cross sells and reciprocal multiple cross sells, and can it be made to work with the database from this addon. I have over 2500 products with cross sells and dont really want to have to enter them again.

    [Contribution] Cross Sell (X-Sell) Admin

Whilst I appreciate that there has been no real development of this for a long time, is anyone working on getting this ready for Phoenix version 1.0.5.0.
  12. Its not free because of only the coders. Its free because a very limited number of store owners and developers, have invested in the project financially so the coders can keep coding. If everyone subscribed to the theory that nothing is for free and contributed, then the project would be far further forward than it is now. Of the hundreds of users on this forum only a small proportion feel the need to keep the project moving forward whilst others sit back, criticise and moan. If they are not happy why are they using this software? We have no idea, but probably because they get something for nothing that earns them money. We all cannot expect coders to invest their time into a project which is freely given away without being able to at least get a meagre sum for their time work and experience. They could be doing fully paid work if they choose. Nobody works for nothing. No its not. Everyone can download the code for free from this site or from Github. What people cant get is what they don't deserve. Non contributors get the basic code base, whilst those that contribute get something back for their contribution. Its those that contribute and get the updated code early that are doing all the testing that is required before a release is made to the core files that are available to download from this site, which everyone can download. It really is that simple. Contribute and get rewarded for doing so. Its not difficult. Some should be thankful that they get what they already get. it could and should change in the future. Change the record and stop whining.
  13. I may adapt this to show on my invoices as at present any order comments just sort of blend in. Something to look into.
  14. There you go. I said there would be another way of doing it.
  15. You need to find the relevant bit of code in the admin/orders.php page and add <mark></mark> after the opening <td> and before the closing </td> if you want the whole bit of text highlighted, or you could try narrowing it down to just the line that you need highlighted. I cant remember if mine is standard or whether its been changed but look for something similar to <td class="smallText">' . nl2br(tep_db_output($orders_history['comments'])) . '&nbsp;</td>' . "\n" . and change it to <td class="smallText"><mark>' . nl2br(tep_db_output($orders_history['comments'])) . '&nbsp;</mark></td>' . "\n" . Hopefully that will give you a bit of an idea where to look in the code, but I expect someone will be along soon to tell you the right way to do it.

    Stripe v3 module for SCA

@raiwa I have the following on that line. 'sort_order' => $GLOBALS[$class]->output[$i]['sort_order']); I have just downloaded your amended latest files and have uploaded that file to the site which does have at least that change in it. This may have been my fault for not updating to the really latest version. I will try some test payments and make sure that all is well.

    Stripe v3 module for SCA

@raiwa The sort orders are all zero in the database. The settings in admin are Shipping 2 Sub-Total 1 Tax 3 Total 4 Sorry that took so long I had to get orders out to office, and was not ignoring you. When I updated to the latest version I think I removed the module and reinstalled it again as I uploaded all the files, but I may be wrong.

    Stripe v3 module for SCA

Is there a separate sort order for the Stripe module, as on all the other payment modules it works correct. Out of Paypal, BACS, Cheque, COD and free its onlt Stripe that messes about. Sorry to be a pain, well its not really me its my book keeper who keeps complaining.

    Stripe v3 module for SCA

Was this change to get the order totals in the correct order on the invoices as I was getting them in any order and now that are all in the correct order byut updside down. Total is at the top P&P is in the centre and sub total is at the bottom. Any way to get them the other way around.
  21. Same with me as with both Dan and Lee. I so far have not changed any core code, but I am going to have to just to get what I consider to be basic functionality that is required to run my store, which is not currently available or possible with the current core code (not bashing the core code though), its more the fault of the availability of addons. Some apparent addons for Phoenix still require core code changes either because the developer has no idea what they are doing, or there is no way around it. I cant afford to keep putting off an update, and I cannot keep paying developers to carry out addon updates, when many are not that interested in doing it (the original addon creators I mean). As with others I will update the live store with the version that I am currently working on, and when time permits, carry on updating in a test site until I feel that its right to upload and update the site again, and then start the test site all over again when new updates become available.
  22. I think the strategy is sound of stopping at a certain release. At some point us store owners have to get on and do other things like run the business even though times are getting a bit tough at the minute. Its easy for developers to keep changing things, but it takes time and money to get things changed and converted and not all of us have bottomless pits to pay for code work as addon developers are not keeping up as they have businesses to run to.
  23. I decided to use 1.0.5.0 as thats just before loads of major changes took place. You are right though, development is moving fast and I could not keep up with it so just decided to get on and use the version where I was. I will update again in something like 12 months time and keep doing that now, rather than add every incremental update.
  24. For the first time last month I had more sales through Stripe than I did for PayPal. At the end of the day that are only giving back something they recently stopped giving anyway.

    Guest checkout for OsCommerce 2.3.4.1

If you have just started using oscommerce, bin that version. Use the latest Phoenix version. Its so much better and there is a Purchase Without Account mod that is easy to instal and well tested, and is still beig improved and updated. Even if you have been using your version for a long time consider upgrading to something better. If you want to continue using your outdated version search for PWA in the addons area where you will find a PWA mod, but you will have to find a verion that will work with your old OSC version.
