Is there a description of what this contribution provides? I have read the information at http://addons.oscommerce.com/info/6051 and I'm sorry but I don't understand. I am looking for a contribution that will allow for multiple columns in the product listings. Thanks Sue

I have tried to install all of the tootip contributions I can find and can't make any of them work. The one I am most interesed in is here: http://addons.oscommerce.com/info/4594 (Image With Description Tooltip) All of the contributions seem to be based on the same code - but no matter what I do I can't make them work. I searched for forums and those that solved the problem have not listed their solution. I'm hoping some one has experience with this and can give me a hand. The instructions on this one states to replace the product_list.php with the new file - I checked using Beyond Compare and found the only changes were the ones to do the contribution so I did just that. So I have the correct coding accorging to the instructions (removing the possiblity I didn't code it right) does anyone have any thoughts? Thanks Sue Design by Sue

It appears the module is working except for the install link and the panel showing the information. Turns out the module is installed and to get to the control panel I need to double click on United States Postal Service (the words) I am now getting the following warning even though the permissions for the file are set to read, read, read. Warning: I am able to write to the configuration file: /services/webpages/i/n/intentionsjewelry.com/secure/catalog/includes/configure.php. This is a potential security risk - please set the right user permissions on this file. I realize this is a strange problem - but any input really appreciated! Sue

I have installed 4.3 of the USPS Methods and no luck - I also went back to the 1.4 installation (I beleive that was it - was the original when I installed OSCommerce to the site) and no luck. The install button just will not work. Please someone take pitty on my and help... please...

Had USPS Methods 3.0 installed and working on a site. Uninstalled it through the admin of the cart because client wanted to provide free shipping for a special. Now I need to turn it back on but when I click the install button in the admin, noting happens. Before I try going line by line of the code, does anyone know what might have happened? I got mine working. The contribution is at http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contri...ch,USPS+Methods and an extensive post about this is here http://www.oscommerce.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=251683 I ended up using the usps.php file that I had and changed the text to capitals as suggested in the post, then ran the sql update from the contribution listed above. The combination seems to have done the job. I tried to replace the usps.php file with the one from the contribution (second one as I didn't want the insurance add in) but it was way different that what I had and created an error. So I went back to my original with the caps and it works. Good luck to all on this!

I have the United States Post Office Module installed and have it set up with the post office. On the Check out page the choices of Express Mail Priority Mail and Parcel all show up with their prices. It doesn't matter which one selects, when the cart proceeds to the Payment information then to the confirmation page, the confirmation page always shows Express mail and charges for it. Any idea of what is going on? It worked correctly for a couple of months and now it is not functioning correctly.

Got it - thanks - in this instance a handling fee and the shipping weight are sufficient to take care of the shipping. BUT not I will understand it for the next go round

Jan thanks for your reply, though a little cryptic. I figured it out last night. The tare was set to 3. I set it to 0 and that cleared it up (posting this for others who may need this answer)

I have USPS installed and configured but have noticed that even though I have .5 pounds as shipping weight on every item (they are all the same - bracelets) when the shipping is figured and shown on the invoice, it add 3 pounds to every order. Did I miss something in the configuration that would do this? Any help greatly appreciated!

I can't believe it but I actually have succeed in installint Attribute Sorter and Copier 5.1 (contrats to Linda McGrath for the instructions - If I can do it is a miracle!) Anyway - the contribution seems to work, but in the "What does this do" the instructions state that you can copy attributes from existing products to all products in a category. I can only see how to do it one product at a time - Can this be done with one step? If so How? Thanks in advance for any assistance. Sue www.designbysue.com
