  1. Just installed the new version of the contibution and I am getting the same error. Warning: mysql_connect(): Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (2) in /hsphere/local/home/rlawrenc/dreamtimebooks.co.uk/includes/functions/database.php on line 19 Unable to connect to database server! I have also read through all the forum topics and can see that the new release already has all the bug fixes that resolved this same error in the first version. Any Ideas?

    Official PayPal IPN Support Thread

Hi all, I have installed the paypal_ipn contribution. It all seems to work fine until the pay button is clicked on the paypal web site. Am getting a message saying that the paypal session has expired and need to fill in the details again. As it took only a 2 minutes to add the details it is perplexing what the cause of the problem is. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks
  3. I am trying to use easy populate on a website with shared hosting, so have Globals turned off in the php.ini file and can do nothing about it. The buttons on the easy populate page are not active when globals are turned off in the php.ini file. I have used the register globals contribution so osCommerce now works fine, and there is a section of the register globals contribution the assists a little bit, and activates the easy populate download button, but the upload button still does not work, and the split function also does nothing. I need to upload 800 products to my Dad's site so really need to use the upload facility. How can I use the easy populate contribution with the globals set to off in the php.ini file. Perhaps someone can add any changes that are necessary to the easy populate contribution.

I have used the register globals contribution, but have found that easy populate does not then work. The buttons appear to become inactive. There is a section of the register globals contribution the assists a little bit, and enables the download button, which seems then to work fine. But the upload button still does nothing. I need to upload 800 products to my Dad's site. Please can anyone advise of the solution. Thanks Guys

    Paypal contrib and paypal settings

Hi, I have just installed the new paypal contribution (12 January 2005 - 1.1 Release), and wondered what I needed to do to get it to work from the paypal side of things. I remember something about having to turn on the IPN setting and providing a url for paypal to post back to. If this is required what is the page I need to reference? Are there any other settings on Paypal that it is important to know about for configuring this contribution? Thanks in advance.
  6. I have set up easy populate, but my site is on a shared server and globals are turned off, so I used the register globals contrib and my site works OK, but not easy populate. I can download a list of all my products, but uploading does nothing at all. What do I need to do to make it work? Any all suggestions welcome. I am not a .php developer, but have managed to figure out what I have needed to so far, until now.
