Hello Steve Luckily I ran the abovementioned queries on my test store only. There was an error but I found where it is. ALTER TABLE categories DROP categories_featured, DROP categories_featured_until; ALTER TABLE manufacturers DROP manufacturer_featured, DROP manufacturers_featured, DROP manufacturers_featured_until, DROP manufacturer_featured_until; ALTER TABLE products DROP products_featured_until, DROP products_featured; ALTER TABLE products_description DROP products_short; DELETE FROM configuration_group WHERE configuration_group_id = '99' LIMIT 1; DELETE FROM configuration WHERE configuration_id = '334' LIMIT 1; DELETE FROM configuration WHERE configuration_id = '335' LIMIT 1; DELETE FROM configuration WHERE configuration_id = '336' LIMIT 1; DELETE FROM configuration WHERE configuration_id = '337' LIMIT 1; DELETE FROM configuration WHERE configuration_id = '338' LIMIT 1; DELETE FROM configuration WHERE configuration_id = '339' LIMIT 1; DELETE FROM configuration WHERE configuration_id = '340' LIMIT 1; DELETE FROM configuration WHERE configuration_id = '341' LIMIT 1; DELETE FROM configuration WHERE configuration_id = '342' LIMIT 1; DELETE FROM configuration WHERE configuration_id = '343' LIMIT 1; DELETE FROM configuration WHERE configuration_id = '344' LIMIT 1; DELETE FROM configuration WHERE configuration_id = '345' LIMIT 1; DELETE FROM configuration WHERE configuration_id = '346' LIMIT 1; DELETE FROM configuration WHERE configuration_id = '347' LIMIT 1; DELETE FROM configuration WHERE configuration_id = '348' LIMIT 1; DELETE FROM configuration WHERE configuration_id = '349' LIMIT 1; DELETE FROM configuration WHERE configuration_id = '350' LIMIT 1; DELETE FROM configuration WHERE configuration_id = '351' LIMIT 1; DELETE FROM configuration WHERE configuration_id = '352' LIMIT 1; DELETE FROM configuration WHERE configuration_id = '353' LIMIT 1; DELETE FROM configuration WHERE configuration_id = '354' LIMIT 1; DELETE FROM configuration WHERE configuration_id = '355' LIMIT 1; DELETE FROM configuration WHERE configuration_id = '356' LIMIT 1; DELETE FROM configuration WHERE configuration_id = '357' LIMIT 1; DELETE FROM configuration WHERE configuration_id = '358' LIMIT 1; DELETE FROM configuration WHERE configuration_id = '359' LIMIT 1; DELETE FROM configuration WHERE configuration_id = '360' LIMIT 1; DELETE FROM configuration WHERE configuration_id = '361' LIMIT 1; DELETE FROM configuration WHERE configuration_id = '362' LIMIT 1; DELETE FROM configuration WHERE configuration_id = '363' LIMIT 1; DELETE FROM configuration WHERE configuration_id = '364' LIMIT 1; DELETE FROM configuration WHERE configuration_id = '365' LIMIT 1; DELETE FROM configuration WHERE configuration_id = '366' LIMIT 1; DELETE FROM configuration WHERE configuration_id = '367' LIMIT 1; DELETE FROM configuration WHERE configuration_id = '368' LIMIT 1; DELETE FROM configuration WHERE configuration_id = '369' LIMIT 1; DELETE FROM configuration WHERE configuration_id = '370' LIMIT 1; DELETE FROM configuration WHERE configuration_id = '371' LIMIT 1; DELETE FROM configuration WHERE configuration_id = '372' LIMIT 1; DELETE FROM configuration WHERE configuration_id = '373' LIMIT 1; DELETE FROM configuration WHERE configuration_id = '374' LIMIT 1; DELETE FROM configuration WHERE configuration_id = '375' LIMIT 1; DELETE FROM configuration WHERE configuration_id = '376' LIMIT 1; DELETE FROM configuration WHERE configuration_id = '377' LIMIT 1; DELETE FROM configuration WHERE configuration_id = '378' LIMIT 1; DELETE FROM configuration WHERE configuration_id = '379' LIMIT 1; DELETE FROM configuration WHERE configuration_id = '380' LIMIT 1; DELETE FROM configuration WHERE configuration_id = '381' LIMIT 1; DELETE FROM configuration WHERE configuration_id = '382' LIMIT 1; DELETE FROM configuration WHERE configuration_id = '383' LIMIT 1; DELETE FROM configuration WHERE configuration_id = '384' LIMIT 1; DELETE FROM configuration WHERE configuration_id = '385' LIMIT 1; The line should read ALTER TABLE products_description DROP products_short; and not ALTER TABLE products_description DROP products_description;. Notice that I have also changed the DELETE FROM configuration WHERE configuration_id to reflect the id found in my database. I have posted this here for anyone who is interested. All credit goes to Steve. Thanks

Hello Steve Once again, thank you for the lightning fast reply. I have a test store which I am using to execute the abovementioned. I will run some test to see that everything is fine before executing it on my live store. This has really spared me some headache. This is off-topic but I had to get it off my chest. Thank God for people like Steve and the open source community who are willing to help others knowing that they will not be paid for it. It is amazing how some people still bug hpdl and the others about how slow the development of osCommerce is. If only they knew the amount of work involved. Thanks

Hello Steve and everyone I had installed this contribution but now I would like to uninstall it. The files part is no problem for me but the database in quite daunting. How can I remove the database entries created by this contribution from my store database? If I was asked to guess, this is what I will do. 1) From my cPanel, start phpMyAdmin. 2) Looking at the .sql file provided by the contribution, I will have to delete the following entries. - products_featured - products_featured_until - categories_featured_until - categories_featured - manufacturer_featured_until - manufacturers_featured_until - manufacturers_featured - manufacturer_featured - products_short - Featured Sets Will this be enough? Or have I missed anything? All help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hello I have set up my own shipping modules which calculates the shipping cost for all the countries that I will take order from and ship to. Other than that, I would also like to offer free shipping for orders over a certain amount for both local and worldwide customers. I know how to set up the Order Total Shipping module and so far it has been working well. The problem now is, I would like to offer free shipping only to the countries that I will accept order from and ship to. The shipping modules that I have set up has no problem with this. Only when a customer has an order over a certain amount that this problem comes up. The module will offer free shipping to almost everyone! Not what I hope to give. So, is there any way I can modify ot_shipping.php or use a contribution that I can specify which countries is eligible for free shipping? All help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

'On the Fly' Auto Thumbnailer using GD Library
rezdwan replied to a topic in General Add-Ons Support
Hello Don After numerous attempt using both the contribution and the modified file that you provided above, nothing still works. I was about to give up with thumbnail contribution. I gave the contribution a last try and found out where the problem is. My logo in the header.php was the problem. I added an extra hspace="10px" value to it and this was the culprit. I removed it and now everything is okay. Now I have crispy thumbnails for all the product photo. There are still some pics which I noticed are not showing though. They are not very important but I wish I could fix it. It is the line in the shopping cart above the sub-total amount that is missing now. Also, the progress line with the small circle (Delivery Information, Payment Information, Confirmation and Finished!) when the customer starts confirming the order is also missing. Just small details. I'll post the pics of the shopping cart here next time. Anyway, thanks for all the help. Thanks -
'On the Fly' Auto Thumbnailer using GD Library
rezdwan replied to a topic in General Add-Ons Support
Hello Don I followed the instructions in the contribution as provided. Added the tep_image() to my stock html_output.php. So, I'm not sure where I have gone wrong. Here it is. // "On the Fly" Auto Thumbnailer using GD Library originally Nate Welch (v1.5) Updated by various contributors (v1.7.1) // Scales product images dynamically, resulting in smaller file sizes, and keeps // proper image ratio. Used in conjunction with product_thumb.php t/n generator. function tep_image($src, $alt = '', $width = '', $height = '', $params = '') { // Set default image variable and code $image = '<img src="' . $src . '"'; // Don't calculate if the image is set to a "%" width if (strstr($width,'%') == false || strstr($height,'%') == false) { $dont_calculate = 0; } else { $dont_calculate = 1; } // Do we calculate the image size? if (CONFIG_CALCULATE_IMAGE_SIZE && !$dont_calculate) { // Get the image's information if ($image_size = @getimagesize($src)) { $ratio = $image_size[1] / $image_size[0]; // Set the width and height to the proper ratio if (!$width && $height) { $ratio = $height / $image_size[1]; $width = intval($image_size[0] * $ratio); } elseif ($width && !$height) { $ratio = $width / $image_size[0]; $height = intval($image_size[1] * $ratio); } elseif (!$width && !$height) { $width = $image_size[0]; $height = $image_size[1]; } // Scale the image if not the original size if ($image_size[0] != $width || $image_size[1] != $height) { $rx = $image_size[0] / $width; $ry = $image_size[1] / $height; if ($rx < $ry) { $width = intval($height / $ratio); } else { $height = intval($width * $ratio); } $image = '<img src="product_thumb.php?img='.$src.'&w='.tep_output_string($width).'&h='.tep_output_string($height).'"'; } } elseif (IMAGE_REQUIRED == 'false') { return ''; } } // Add remaining image parameters if they exist if ($width) { $image .= ' width="' . tep_output_string($width) . 'On the Fly' Auto Thumbnailer using GD Library
rezdwan replied to a topic in General Add-Ons Support
Hello everyone. Sorry if this question had been asked before. Can't find my answer through the search. I have installed the 'On the Fly' Auto Thumbnailer using GD Library 1.9.1. Everything seems to work fine except that I kept getting this error message on top of the shop. They are referring to the following lines in includes/functions/html_output.php. $rx = $image_size[0] / $width; $ry = $image_size[1] / $height; I have set the Images Configuration as follow. Has anyone encountered the same problem or will be able to tell me where have I gone wrong? All help is greatly appreciated. Thanks -
Batch Printing without Frames or PDF
rezdwan replied to assembler's topic in General Add-Ons Support
Hello assembler I was trying this at my test shop but have a bit of a problem. Everything seems to work fine except that the invoice number is the same for all and it shows an invoice number -1. Do you know where I could have gone wrong? Thanks -
Hello Howard I got what you mean now. I did not add the contribution to the left or right column. It only appears on the shopping_cart.php page. It is working fine. Now my customers can see the shipping cost even before they sign up for an account. Hopefully this translate to more completed orders and less dummy customers (users that just sign up so they can see the shipping cost). Thank you for all the help. Thanks
-
Hello Howard Thank you for reviewing the changes that I have made. I am not too sure what you meant by disabling the Estimated Shipping infobox or make an extra conditional within the catalog/includes/modules/estimated_shipping.php. Could you please elaborate? Thanks
-
Hello Howard I managed to get your contribution working in catalog/shopping_cart.php like I wanted. I thought you might like to know. Here's how I did it. All the install instructions are the same as you have provided. For those who wishes to add the code to shopping_cart.php, they will have to do the following. Open and find the following line in shopping_cart.php (line 229). </table></form></td> Replace with the following. </form> <tr> <td><br><?php include(DIR_WS_MODULES . FILENAME_ESTIMATED_SHIPPING); ?></td> </tr></table></td> Basically all are the same except that I have moved the </form> tag to be before the </table> tag. I hope changing this does not affect the overall functionality of osCommerce. Howard, if it is not too much to ask, please check the abovementioned and give me your advise. Thanks
-
Hello Howard Thank you for clearing things up. Let's hope we'll be able to find a solution for this as I felt that the contribution is very useful. Anyone out there who's able to help, please do not hesitate. Thanks

Hello wheeloftime I have successfully used this contribution. I have added the information on the right column under the shopping cart box. It works fine but the text of the various shipping charges are too long and looks unsightly on my site. I was thinking of adding this estimated shipping cost information in the shopping cart page (ie in the file shopping_cart.php) just under the sub-total. I have followed step 6 and option b of your instruction except that the codes are in shopping_cart.php instead of index.php. It works fine and customer will see the estimated shipping cost of the default destination. But when I try to select another country, nothing happens and it will still display the default shipping destination. Did I left something out or would certain modification need to be made to the codes so that it works in shopping_cart.php? Or is this the limitation of this contribution? All help is greatly appreciated. Thanks
-
Hello wheeloftime I have followed your instructions and it works great! It shows the estimated shipping cost and also the free shipping cost for orders above the certain amount. Thank you for the help and also for the very prompt reply! Thanks
-
Hello wheeloftime Thank you for a great contribution. It is just what I am looking for. This way customer can get an estimate of the shipping cost even before they register for an account at my shop. I do have a bug to report though. I am offering free shipping for orders above certain amount. Therefore, when a customer qualifies for the free shipping they will get an error. It looks like this on the frontend. Warning: tep_get_estimated_shipping_quotes(includes/languages//modules/order_total/ot_shipping.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/username/public_html/sandbox/includes/functions/estimated_shipping_functions.php on line 61 Warning: tep_get_estimated_shipping_quotes(includes/languages//modules/order_total/ot_shipping.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/username/public_html/sandbox/includes/functions/estimated_shipping_functions.php on line 61 Warning: tep_get_estimated_shipping_quotes(): Failed opening 'includes/languages//modules/order_total/ot_shipping.php' for inclusion (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/username/public_html/sandbox/includes/functions/estimated_shipping_functions.php on line 61 BTW, the abovementioned codes are from my test shop. The free shipping is defined in the osCommerce Administration under Modules -> Order Total -> Shipping. Do you have any suggestions as to how this can be fixed? All help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

You are right. We should have done a follow-up on the complain for the benefit of others. Here goes. The problem seems to come from PayPal end and not ours. It seems that they updated something and everything went bonkers! So they have revert back to the old system (or something to that effect), and all the problem stopped. As for me, it stopped about a few hours after it began. Thanks
-
Yes Rikr, we want to know how you got the status as you have mentioned above. Our's seems to be the opposite of yours. Does it have to do with the Enable Encrypted Web Payments field? Because for my set up, I have set it to false. Thanks
-
Ahhh... It seems that I am not the only one with the problem. As PandA.nl had said, we can leave it be since everything looks fine but it's just not right. My other concern is when the customers sees this in their account. It can be confusing. Right?

Hello guys, I was wondering if anyone can help me with the undermentioned problem. I have set up osCommerce and I am using the osCommerce PayPal IPN. I have tested it using the Sandbox and everything seems fine except the status of the order. When I click Edit on a order, the Status column showed Pending first then it will be Preparing [PayPal IPN]. Shouldn't it be the other way round? The Comments column seems fine with the remark PayPal IPN Verified [Completed] showed first. Anyone else with the same problem? If it helps, here are the settings that I have used. Shopping cart version: osCommerce 2.2 Milestone 2 Payment module version: osCommerce PayPal IPN 1.0 (Please note that I have tested the version 1.1 and getting the same problem as above.) osCommerce PayPal IPN 1.0 settings: Enable PayPal IPN Module True E-Mail Address [email protected] Transaction Currency Only USD Payment Zone PayPal Zone Set Preparing Order Status Preparing [PayPal IPN] Set PayPal Acknowledged Order Status Pending Gateway Server Testing Transaction Type Per Item Page Style Debug E-Mail Address Sort order of display. 0 Enable Encrypted Web Payments False Your Private Key Your Public Certificate PayPals Public Certificate Your PayPal Public Certificate ID Working Directory OpenSSL Location /usr/bin/openssl Thank you

I believe that the answer to my problem is here; Keep getting same IPN's. It is a link from the PayPalDev.org - An Independent Forum for PayPal Developers. Please check it out. Thank You

Hello guys! I was testing the contribution today around this time and I have some errors to report. I used to have no problem with the Order Status but today I got duplicated entries of the Pending status. The time log for the Pending status differ by around 10secs of each other. The worst has yet to come. After I updated the status to Processing, it will go back to Pending after a few seconds. Same thing. It will keep duplicating the Pending status. I suspect that this error is coming from the PayPal Sandbox server. Can someone verify this? Thank You
-
Hello all! I am testing this contribution at the moment and I must thank those that have put in their hardwork into it. Great contribution. If at all, the contributors wish to add PayPal graphics to this contribution (eg. the page where the customers are made to select payment method), I think the following image is a great example. Since it is part of the merchant tool and ready for us to use, why not? It can be found at PayPal - Online Logo Center. Other logos are available there too. If I am not wrong, this Online Logo Center is a new thing for merchants (I wasn't able to find it until recently). Do visit it for more information on the Usage Guidelines and agreements. Just my humble opinion. Thank You

Shipping Insurance for UPS and whatever else....
rezdwan replied to rbartz's topic in General Add-Ons Support
Hello rbartz, this contribution works very well for me except for two problems. 1) Speedpost (i.e the carrier I will be using) offers an insurance premium of $1 for every $100. But the minimum insurance premium is $5. 2) They also have a maximum insurance limit (which I have not found out yet). Do you any suggestions as to how I can get around this? Thank You -

New UPS XML Shipping Module available
rezdwan replied to torinwalker's topic in General Add-Ons Support
Sorry mugitty, I'm not sure if you understood what I meant. What I meant was, what if the 'Shipping Origin' is from Singapore? That would mean for the module settings below, I would have to fill in only Singapore addresses. So, will it work then? Thank You
