just so u know it can take weeks or even months for the sid to be taken out of search engine links. just keep checking them once and a while. do u have a robots.txt file you may want to install that as well if u dont have one you can get one at the contributions site then modify for what you need. Set some options Options +FollowSymLinks Options -Indexes try this i had to modify to get it to work try putting the line options +followsymlinks above the other line see above. the original file had the lines set up the other way around.i also had to change the - to a plus sign+.has something to do with the server so it will work if your using appache server. see if that helps or do a google search lots of help there. peterr i got it to work i took the line options followsymlinks and added the plus sign in it like the code u gave me then i moved it on top of the file above the options-indexes code.i went to my site and no 403 error.if anybody else needs help there is alot at webmasterworld.com. thanks alot it is greatly appreciated DON

i contacted my host they do support mod rewrite and it is turned on.i have two folders at my site public_html and www. do you think maybe i have to puy it in www instead of public_html or does it need some modification to work.i tried it again and if somebody types in my site address selectronics4u.com then you get the 403 error and nobody can access my site had to remove it again .there is a .htaccess file in my public_html folder but it is empty. anyone have any idea. thanks don

i have session id in search results also i want to use the contribution but wheni upload it i get a 403 error then my site will not load at all and had to remove it my site is in catalog does that make any differience? should i replace my htaccess in catalog instead of putting the contribution in public_html like it says. thanks don
