How to you give points for first order??? are you trying to say that you give 500 point for new customer??? if so, they will only get them once! if they used thier points, the box will not show. If a customer has point(confirmed point) and the box still not shown, you are probably having some sort of product ristriction on. at your admin/configuration setting.

a quick notice. as per request at this forum (and direct PM) i will repack and upload again aswell as will setup a demo site for a limited time. so you ask why now? well... my last update to this mod was back at 2006/JULY/07, at that time osCommerce stable release was 2.2ms2-051113. therefore it was fully tested with no problems. 1.Now with v2.2 Release Candidate 2a a few things change that reflected the way points calculated.( i wonder why no one mention it) osCommerce team made a major change to currency class therefore without updating this mod, some store owner who use tax calculating on their store and/or against points having some issues. osCommerce team made a major change to paypal payment and added some payment options that was not even there back at 2.2ms2-051113, this part must be modified to use it with this mod. 2. My install.txt instructions where made with simple .txt file. some people find it hard but, because we are dealing with a script that needs to copy/paste the correct way, using other files like (the shitty microsoft) .doc will brake the code as well as add extra spaces and slashes or ". so you say "SO WHAT"? ^_^ . well... to start with, you want be able to use search and replace function, your sql might return error. and so on. with all the respect to ssnb and his hard work, i will have to ask you all to forgive me as im not going to use .doc on my next upload. thanks to ssnb i will be able to clear a few things down the install.txt file. ..and last let me mention that 96% of the issues posted in this forum are not directly concern this mod more then having it work side by side with other mods. this mod is build on a core osCommerce files and even then because of the nature of its purpose and the different stores setting, most likely you will need to adjust a few things to suit your stores need. Modifications to the code posted here, might work for you but not to others.

Your client purchased this mod for creloaded and you ask us for support???????? you are posting at the wrong forum! you should seek support from whom you paid to.

BTW the post u reffered to the idea taken from CCGV but there is a big security issue with that, its clear the payment method and therefore all the checks against it. u do that and i will be able to shop at ur store free :D

Do you really think that i should go over someone else code to fix or clean it?. when i say im here, thats not include any update to the code by someone else, who ever post something should take full responsabality for it. do u think that i ever download any update to my code?. this system is working 100%. not only that but i have made more then 20 custom made points system to store owners via this forum. and ALL of them are happy with what they got. but this is not why im here to say, the point is that i went over and made a demo store for people to test before installing on their live stores .... and the result...... people abused the demo site so i took it off, then they abused my live store. :wacko: so now my store staff need to deal with fake order almost every day. There is a new version V3.00 that give all that asked for on this forum + new php5,Mysql5, register_global and so on.... but im not ready to release it yet. cuse i don't have the time to follow it up as well as can you imagine what will happen to my live store!!!! If you are happy cleaning up someone else mass, good luck! sorry but i don't see myself doing it.

Yup that's me why? i'm always here, was and busy with all other things + my new baby born and my wife drive me crazy and so on.... there is no problem with points cont', your html code is massed up. it looks like a template from Template Monster. you should learn how to add a simple html to your site! BTW on linux chmod 0644 /includes/configure.php on windows set it to read only.

The above changed took place at the new version, according to the data i collected and the post in this forum. i came to belive that 99% of the points users actually user the maximum points allowed. therefore this part of code removed. If u prefer the older setting, you wellcome to try version1.

Once again Thank u Chooch for the backup, it really in great help as my hands are full doing so many things + i have a little girl that need me. I took off the demo site because of over abuse regardless of my request so now user must install this mod to try in on. The latest post and updated/corrects are not posted by me so i can't really response to it and all PM should be sent to the person who upload/fix/change or whatever not to me please. anyway as wrote i'm really so busy now and i promiss to look into it once time permit. till then i can't promiss to replay to all my PM at once. and people keep abusing my live shop with false account /order. make me less and less want to improve and share this mod with other so please for the last time NO ABUSE. i try my best to help even if most of the cases the problem has got nothing to do with my mod. and i'm sure that the forum members can confirm that.

it sound like the points seasson are not passing to checkout_confirmation page you should check your coding again, from some reason ur order_total mod not applay to points mod. To all of you, please be aware. Points system is made in order to give customers points, if you dont want to give points then dont use this mod. 2. This mod is NOT a replacment for a payment module. its made in away to serve as a part of payment and not as afull payment.(only in a rear cases). the main idea is that the customers will use the points as a discount method. Therefore if your store is set to have only one payment method. that method is auto selected by default(osCommerce core code). CCGV is set to look like a payment method so its overwrite most of payment default ruls. this is not the case with my mod. if you have only one payment method at your store and you belive that your most of customers will have enough points to cover thier whole order. dont use this mod.

1. If you updating from V1.60 you must leave product rectiction empty (model,products id, category path) unless you want to use it. 2. If you have made a test orders with V1.60 and you had product in cart saved in cookie or database. you must empty it before.

if the customer have enough points to cover the whole order includes shipping,tax, and others fees that may apply. IF the customers points is bigger then the order total , the maximum points allowed will be use as a full payment option therefore you will be redirected to checkout_confirmation page so you don't need to use other payment method. now if you have been directed to PayPal that mean the you have chosen paypal as your payment method. You should carefully go over the install instracions in refer to checkout_confirmation.php

The points information shown in products info page are points given. The Restriction to products only apply on redeem not on award.

Go to your admin and make sure that points expire options is empty to disable points expire you MUST leave it empty. as well as make sure that you have the lates redemptions.php

When adding new contribution to your site you should dubble check who is posting it as well as don't just copy over files that are not new. in your case you added easy checkout cont that made a problem with security. new my mode has done the job correct by not allowing the redeemption because the SID could not 100% verify hterefor Points/Reward V2.00 has consider it to be a fraud attampt. The error was in your catalog/checkout_shipping.php (it took me more then 2.hr to track it down) the file is so massy and at the bagning i did not want to tuch it because i toght it was your falt but after downloading the easy checkout mod and viewed the modifed files provided. I knew it wasent your falt(sorry :'( ) The modified files provided are massy as yours and includes other contribution in it. who ever created this mod did not modify new osCommerce file and insted he/she just posted his modified files thats way it look like that for you and anyone using the modified files provided. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The below 2files are ment to be used as cron job files thats way there is nothing on it. admin/customers_points_credit.php (cron script) admin/customers_points_expire.php (cron script) i just added a link to those files from admin just for those users without the cron job options in thier server. When u see a blank page its good(not good is when you see errors) admin/customers_points_credit.php (cron script) will also show a blank page when there are no rows to update.

Make sure you haven't missed the install step in refer to catalog/creat_account.php P.S= I took a look at your site(nice :thumbsup: ) , you should click on all module options just in order to show the last update date. it is missing from your http://www.hayshop.net/my_points_help.php/faq_item/1 missing the began date

Get the latest version and follow the INSTALL.txt all would be fine

your account shows points and druing checkout there are no points? do you have a test account? please PM me if you can or try using msn or yahoo.

There was a bug in redemptions_update.sql file. this has been fixed as well as added the ability to set the expire date to customers who already has points. When using the auto installer.php the script will verify the expire months while when using a manual update you will have to open the redemptions_update.sql and set the expire months statement before executing it. All your statments look o.k. do you stiil don't see the redeemptions box at checkout?

you should check your coding its look like you have missed some parts of the new version. the best thing to do is(if you have time)just go over the INSTALL.txt for new install and see if you find any diff in your code. I really can't tell you how to do that since you have modified the original coding. all i can tell you is that its work fine on a core install of the latest oscommerce

any products or price or points restriction on? how much points do you see in your cart?

in admin points module config page on the 5 from top Points decimal place set it to zero.(you wont be able to give half point anything below zero is zero 0.5 = 0 and 1.9 =2) i dont know about paypal you will need to check your coding

the box to use the points have moved to catalog/includes/functions/redemptions.php in order to make it simple for new users. just replace the html part to fit your need.
