    Oscommerce Auction Lister Pro

    Hello, I have been trying to get something to work with our store to connect with ebay. This seems like the best bet. I realise this topic has been dead for sometime but I am hoping someone might be able to revive this with me. I have updated the files... and need further help please see below.... This update is work in progress, I have updated as many scripts as possible to work with PHP 5.3. (i.e fix for depreciated errors and timezone support without access to php.ini) However not being an API person I have not yet worked out how to add Shipping, Returns and other new Ebay requirements to the auction.php file. I am hoping that by updating this some clever person would be able to help get this going again. It looks like it will work once the new API info is added. There may be more work to do on 5.3 but I have not got a product to actually upload yet or sync. http://addons.oscommerce.com/info/6652

    Hi readers, I have made a few changes that I might help you, very simple sizes changes. I have tested the following in screen resolutions as low as 800 x 600 for those people who might just might be living about 10 years ago. I believe there has been little compromise, apart from the slight cramping of the box. Following Browsers have been tested. PC: Chrome, IE, Firefox - Mac: Safari, Firefox. - all most recent versions.. really want to test IE6 SP1 but can't run it myself. Objective: To reduce the number of timeouts Protx reports. "possibly" due to people not being able to click the okay button on the 3D secure. Problem: Thickbox scrolling overrides user page zooms and user is unable to find the submit and cancel buttons or worse enter the password into 3Dsecure on people with abnormal screen settings. Users have reported problems not finding the submit button or being able to use the 'close window' button when an error comes up.     Hi Tom, I hope you are well, I have just found out a problem that has been bugging me for months. People had complained of not being able to see the submit button or cancel button when they hit 3D secure. I checked and checked, Turns out there is a problem if the use is running a small screen size, say on a netbook or old monitor, around 800x400 and then has text zoom on their browser turned on for + 100%. This means there is nothing the user can do to pass the page or progress through the checkout. A lot of users may not even be aware they are zoomed in and we get some stinking rants about it, even from people who say they are IT consultants! So now we know the problem, is there anyway to make the scroll area larger or re-size their box accordingly? give it a go on your browser and see what happens, guess a lot of people are using netbooks or handhelds these days.     Hi Tom, Thanks for getting back to me, interesting. We are running on a dedicated server, some customer report waiting upto 1 min before giving up. The one time I have had the checkout fail was on the latest version of Firefox where it tried to load the box but failed. I tried again a few seconds and it was fine. The only browser that consistently fails is BT Yahoo which more people seem to be using (why!) Would it be possible to preload the scripts perhaps? Thanks for your help Peter

    Hi Tom, Hope you are well, I left a message on here a few months back about a similar if not same problem monkeynuts has been having. We are loosing around 5-10% of checkout due to thick box not loading fully. I have now spoken to a lot of customers about it and they mention problems with IE 7, Safari on a PC, BT Yahoo Browser, and Various versions of Firefox oh and Opera. I have tested them all my self and never been able to replicate the problem they have. But it is becoming rather difficult as the site is growing in traffic. I have checked the remedies here and not found the solution applicable, and it maybe others have the same issue without knowing about it i guess? In essence the problem is the all that appears is the horizontal time bar and from what I can work out not the grey out nor the thickbox. Could you please let me know your thoughts on this and if you can help at all. Thanks so much! Peter

    Hi Chris, This is a life and labour saving contribution for us! I think you might have already dealt with this issue before but from what I can work out it was resolved over PM. back in 2007, so I hope you can help and remember what you did. I am having a problem, saving tracking numbers into the db, I have checked the installation 3 times now and added both TNT and RM modules. niether enter data. I have also used the orders page as included in the download and still it does not enter. I am running curl libcurl/7.15.5 OpenSSL/0.9.8b zlib/1.2.3 libidn/0.6.5 I have a very heavily modified version of OsCommerce, with Protx and PayPal on the orders.php page we did try to install google checkout but we don't run it. When I enter data into the db tracking field e.g 1234568|tt the script works fine untill I click on the number to track where upon I get the message Error calling tracking script. Please try later. Having looked into this, I changed $path = empty($admin) ? "" : "../"; $wait = TRACKING_AJAX_WAIT; to $path = empty($admin) ? "" : DIR_WS_CATALOG; $wait = TRACKING_AJAX_WAIT; In the tracking_module.php Sadly no change. I have tried running the debug script you posted a while back but could not get a result. I read further back I might need to change general.php? If you could help me or if you know the answer I would be so grateful! Thanks very much Peter

    Hi Tom, Great work on version 5! I have had users experiencing the same problems, They report freezing or being returned to the previous page. One even said they were returned to the basket. One chap said "each time i have pressed confirm and then the screen has gone black and white" (2 attempts) I can confirm it works well on Safari Mac (as per a previous query in your thread) So far I have been unable to reliable capture any information but I think in the mean time will revert to the previous version. If we capture any details from a failed transaction I will post them here Thanks Peter

    PayPal Express Checkout problem for everyone

    Hey, I just started using Express, and I am finding that the shipping address misses lines from the customer address and in one case there was no info at all. I think it is a poblem but have no idea how to solve it. We print our slips from the shipping address to if it is different or has info missing then we will just get goods returned to us. did you make any changes to the module or find a fix?     Hi Tom Thanks for your reply, I have actioned the above, it does seem to make a difference, the problem now is that the browser just hangs, it sits the spinning, after a miniuet or so I get the error come up .. "Unfortunately there has been a technical problem. Please try again and if the problem persists please contact us ()" I am fairly sure that it is not an IP address error as I used the address in the server info page. I am using the vendor name not testvendor and using the Test server. Any ideas many thanks I would have never got to that point! thanks Peter

    Hello, I am having a blank page problem, I have tried everything that has been talked about on the board but with no success, done the usual settings changes and looked at the curl on and off options in protex_process I get as far as protx_process.php/action/process and the page goes blank Server info is HTTP Server: Apache/1.3.37 PHP Version: 4.4.4 (Zend: 1.3.0) CURL support enabled CURL Information libcurl/7.15.5 OpenSSL/0.9.8b zlib/1.2.3 libidn/0.6.5 ** (IS THIS VERSION OKAY? ) ** No information is being stored on the site and no information is being sent to Protx test server My Host is Xcalibre and is using a dedicated SSL on a shared server. I would be so grateful if anyone could help I have been going round in circles for hours. Thanks Peter
