  1. Sorry about delay in answering - max-execution time is the one
  2. Try extending the php timeout number by using a directory based php.ini file. Or maybe a php value directive in .htaccess (supposed to be undesirable, but seems to work).

    Tons of Free Templates

remember to run spybot if you've been sucked in to adding links etc. Prbly there's click tracers, key stroke tracers and all sorts on the end of this disgusting little scam. Stay within the community, guys. Learn to program a little, learn to use the bits of templates that are available from your mates wthin osc. It's a jungle out there!

    Sell by Weight/Length

Loz did you get anywhere with this? I am trying to calculate bespoke furniture on a price per cm basis.
  5. I know I've seen all this before, but can't find it, so forgive . . . it seems as though ultrapics or mopics or one of those used to generate a new images folder subdirectory if you created a new category in admin, and then, when you came to add pictures, bingo there they were. Or am I dreaming? If it wasn't either of these. Which contrib is there that generates an image folder tree to match categories?
  6. Win 2000 and ultrapics help!!! Anyone got any ideas on why the little image buttons in the edit window (ed_image.gif) would display in internet explorer on win XP but not on Windows 2000? Why, in short, the whole edit window is more like it is in mozilla than in IE? If anyone out there is using win2K, pls shout

    Margin Report v2.10

Sorry if this is cross posted from main category, got confused with new forum layout. Been away a while. Fresh install of 2.2, fresh upload of latest Margin Report. If db managed with phpMyAdmin 2.2.3 no problem. If managed with 2.9.1 following error occurs: 1054 - Unknown column 'p.products_id' in 'on clause' select count(*) as total from products p, products_to_categories p2c, categories c, products_description pd left join specials s on p.products_id = s.products_id where pd.language_id = '1' and p.products_id = pd.products_id and p2c.products_id = p.products_id and c.categories_id = p2c.categories_id Tks Oh. Always was a great contrib. Now may be better.

    Layout and templates

So to add a bit . . . have we got over using php classes to partially control presentation? That would clean up lots of spaghetti syndrome. I've been tearing my hair out for: dynamic content management and generation by PHP, page structure by generated html from a single, known and accessible point of focus, then style and seed content (textual content, link styles, box headers, captions etc) and any styling at all by css. Further: can we pleese have some guidlelines for contrib developers so all things of this kind go under this file set, all things of that kind go under that file set always, and consistently? I guess what I'm groping for is a stern philosophy of modular development where each part is, as far as possible, independant and discrete from every other part. Ah, yeh idiot! Download an alpha, install it on a unix box and have a play, and stop asking dumb questions, I guess, mmm?

Ok, here 'tis. First it seems some of the dependency libraries that load with mcrypt and its kin were needed so even though mcrypt wasn't, by installing it and restarting Apache things got a little better, (the sample html page started outputting a hash). But I still couldn't get past the blasted "hacking attempt" response on the site and couldn't get a hash match. So I downloaded the hsbc contrib from downhome consulting, which does use mcrypt algos and it worked straight out of the box, just like it said on the tin. It may be that the hashing routines in v3.0 and V3.1 don't work properly on servers running virtual sites (can't think why and have no time to mess around with the chicken's entrails that comprise our virtuals). But if anyone can't get a result with the hsbc conrib, try this one.

And finally a little light: traps fr young players number 20067776: just because phpinfo reports every hashing engine known to man as being installed and active, doesn't meant the mcrypt library is in the server's lib directory. CHECK CHECK CHECK!!! Further the subcontinental advice turned out to mean that we were not sending a hash at all, but instead sending the path to 'TestHash-e' where we should have been sending a hash. This is still occuring. Any ideas???

More on the above. According to HSBC the hash being received by them from the test page does not match the outgoing url. I assume they are using the url as part of the hashing process? I am seriously puzzled by this statement by a person from the sub continent. Can you enlighten me at all?

Thanks, Neil I've settled for that. Now the sample.html file is producing an order hash, but i keep getting an error 12, (store details). So I assume there is a store ID/supplied hash problem? Tks
  15. Have we finally discarded html table based layouts for the ver 3 approach?
