  1. I read the topic and i still not understand your question. It looks like you have a problem with hooks. If you point out to us what is EXACT your problem with it. Then you might can get an answer that would fit. YOU are not obligated to use the hooks system. As you not like it.............. You can propose your idea/concept. But i expect you cannot as you not give any foundation to avoid using a hook.
  2. osComMarket

There is NOTHING ( not even a company that offers SEO) available here in this forum to answer your question. The rules are simple and guide lined by google. It is called LOCALE Yet oscommerce uses language =: - eng - nl - de ETC While the correct way is : https://yoursite.com/NL/(index.php or whatever).......... regardless of use an extention. (.php,.HTML). THE FACT IS......... There are companies especially focus on SEO/SEF who know the ins-outs of the concept. At the moment osc is NOT suitable ( couse of routing url's) to hire such a company with a positive effect. MORE BLASPHEME: osc is not even able to make a UNIQUE page. I not wanna go digg into to deep........ Let the respective coders respond on what i just Sayed.
  3. fastest way is to generate a CVS via your desktop and load that into your shop.
  4. Despite that it looks good, it is not written good enough. You still use nested tables what is a no-go. You embed forms inside a table what is also a no-go. But i respect the work done. You should take a look at Henry's BS4 admin: https://github.com/osc2nuke/oscommerce-

Custom Product Builder of OSc BS

i think the moment when it was released "Custom Product Builder", i was one of the first who tried it. 15+ years later...............Not even looked into the code or remember anything. The contribution NOT will go follow your expectations. The dev started with a guy who wanted to sell "desktop computers". Back in that time, it was much easier to tell what was possible and what was not ( in relation to a desktop pc) The add-on never evolved to be used with "any" kind of product. Yet............ it is (still) a very interesting concept. The economy just made it cheaper to buy pre-fabricated items in the meantime. You will go work on an unfinished add-on. Lots of changes required.
  6. i go PM you and spend 30 min to figure out your problem. Ok?
  7. you would be very unique, but you can try: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/9021425/how-to-check-if-mod-rewrite-is-enabled-in-php Best test: https://stackoverflow.com/a/9021476/1316372
  8. You might suffer a browser cache issue. What happen if you go "incognito" in FF or Chrome browser?
  9. Sorry, i only installed that module only 2 times by request, yet i believe it is very well documented, to tell you what/How To do. The .htaccess file is very clear: # RewriteBase instructions # Change RewriteBase dependent on how your shop is accessed as below. # http://www.mysite.com = RewriteBase / # http://www.mysite.com/catalog/ = RewriteBase /catalog/ # http://www.mysite.com/catalog/shop/ = RewriteBase /catalog/shop/ ?
  10. I'm up for a NEW challenge! And i REFUSE to do it ALONE. Any of the "oldies" with me on this? @fantomen , keep bugging here to the others. ( we might can catch interesses )
  11. Perhaps that should change! I know for 100% it should change! But change is rare here 🤣
  12. I not want to be disrespectful but that add-don is not ( an effective ) SEF. Most effective is use so called "slugs". - https://myshop.com/product/myproductname - https://myshop.com/categories/mycategoryname - https://myshop.com/manufacturers/mymanufacturername under the BEST circumstances when run a multilingual website: - https://myshop.com/de/product/myproductname - https://myshop.com/de/categories/mycategoryname - https://myshop.com/de/manufacturers/mymanufacturername - https://myshop.com/nl/product/myproductname - https://myshop.com/nl/categories/mycategoryname - https://myshop.com/nl/manufacturers/mymanufacturername
