  1. From what I can tell you are right about the path composition. I had a look at the categories table amd basically all top categories have a parent id of 0 (zero). All sub-categories have a parent id of greater than 0. It seems one has to do a query for the parent id and build the category id to include the parent id. You may have to do a loop in the case of very deep categories until you hit a parent id of 0. For the moment I partially "solved" the problem by expanding the sub-category names to include the category name. Fortunatelty I only have 1 sub-category at the moment so I can get away with it.
  2. I just installed the above contribution. One thing I noticed was that the breadcrumb trail is no longer accurate i.e. if you are in a sub-category, the category is not displayed before the sub-category. Anybody got a fix for this?
