  1. How to revert back from the grey template image system to the default one while keeping the gray skin. (Not tested, but should work)

    1. Add back in the backup or use a default oscommerce product_info.php file.
    2. Add back in the backup or use default oscommerce 2.3.34 includes/template_top.php

    Edit includes/template_top.php

    and change:

    <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="ext/jquery/ui/redmond/jquery-ui-1.8.22.css" />
    <script type="text/javascript" src="ext/jquery/jquery-1.8.0.min.js"></script>
    <script type="text/javascript" src="ext/jquery/ui/jquery-ui-1.8.22.min.js"></script>

    <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="ext/skins/gray2334/jqbootstrap/css/custom-theme/jquery-ui-1.9.2.custom.css" />
    <script type="text/javascript" src="ext/jquery/jquery-1.8.0.min.js"></script>
    <script type="text/javascript" src="ext/skins/gray2334/jqbootstrap/js/jquery-ui-1.9.2.custom.min.js"></script>

    and after:

    <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="stylesheet.css" />

    <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="ext/skins/gray2334/custom.css" />

  2. Thanks for this add on Nick. I appreciate the clear instructions and (relatively) simple install procedure.

    Unfortunately, the mouse over feature on the product info page seems to have been lost.

    Was that deliberate? unavoidable? or fixable?

    Deliberate ....

    So instead of mousing over the thumbnails and then having to click on the main image... you just click directly on the thumbnail to view the full size image.

  3. If you want to transmit cc info on your pages you will need SSL.

    If you send the customer to a 3 party payment service to complete payment info then you don't necessarily need SSL, but even so you should still have it since you are collecting sensitive personal info during checkout.

  4. PayPal Advanced/Hosted gives the illusion of the input being on your site by using a iframe solution, so the card info is directly inputted to the paypal server while still showing in your checkout. (For US merchants this is available for 5 USD a month)

  5. And amid all this ... you all know that as per today the "seo url" format does not really mater seo wise....

    The only advantage is a visual ones, and possibly a more user friendly url.

    As for future osc versions, keep the configuration option use seo urls or not and make it applicable to "slugs" added when adding/editing products/categories/manufacturers.

    Ie. if someone want to use different format, leave "use seo urls" off and use an add-on instead.
