What is the Best Payment Module for me.

Last time i saw some rates from Merchantboss it was a 10% discount fee and a 10% rolling reserve for 180 days..... Please post if you know their current rates, which should be a lot better to be of any interest.

    Seach Engine Friendly URL Support

Hi, a slight correction.... Its for the contrib "Search Engine Friendly URL" that you first should check if the stock osCommerce "Use Search engine Friendly URL's" works. This is because if the standard "Use Search Engine URL's" do not work or throws errors, the "Search Engine Friendly URL" will not work/give the same errors. The Ultimate seo urls does not use the osCommerce "Use Search Engine Friendly URL's" functions so its not necessary to to that test in regards to that contrib.
  5. I have not seen a ready made contrib for that one, but there are a couple of contributions which can be modified to do just that.... Take a look through the contribution section and see what you find... B)
  6. Yes, thats part of the standard functionality... You can add as many options/attributes you like on a pr. product basis.

Full Merchant Services - Modern Authorize

It sounds ok, but nothing special and/or new, which can not be found about 1000 other places too.... Ready made payment modules exist for most in the contribs section..... The UK service is not even with a merchant accout, just for the protex payment gateway.

    Seach Engine Friendly URL Support

A small note, this error: It is usually an error which shows up if your server does not accept the standard oscommerce sef urls. The fix is: If this is correct in your case you can not use this SEO url mod since it is dependant on the original sef url function. There are several other sef/seo url contributions which do not utilize the original osc sef functions in the contribution section.

If it still does not work, uninstall the contrib, check that everything is working on the clean store, then reinstall the contrib again following the instructions carefully.

    Seach Engine Friendly URL Support

I went to your site and tried it, and yes something is definetly not right... Do check the settings for cookies both in: includes/configure.php and admin/includes/configure.php

    Seach Engine Friendly URL Support

Nothing is wrong. This contrib is made to be used together with "force cookies" , if cookies is not enabled in your browser (Ie, firefox, opera osv.) you will get shown a friendly "enable cookie" page stating that you have to enable cookies in your browser. So, you need to do just that..... A small side note to the author, a rewrite of the code to also enable sessions would be a big pluss..... Then those who force cookies could use it the same way as now, but then it would also work for those who do not/can not force cookies.

    Seach Engine Friendly URL Support

I did not suggest the options to start a discussion on which one is the best, but since you for some reason want .html those have it as their standard modus. I personally do favor BlueYon's url formationg, ie. with a / and not a .html B)

    Seach Engine Friendly URL Support

If you want .html extension instead, you would have an easier time using one of these seo url contributions: ultimate seo urls , sef link transformer or nimmit sefs

    Problems after install of mod

Probebly because you have admin with access levels installed in your shop. If that is so, then just go to administrator>>file access and choose tools and then just give access to the relevant files.

    How to set up CC#

Download the contribution, unzip it on your computer. Read the instruction inside the contribution. Use a ftp program or your controll panel to upload the 2 new files. nr 1. to includes/modules/payment/ nr 2. to includes/languages/english/modules/payment/ Then go into your admin and press "install" for PayPal IPN , input your paypal registered email address and save.

    How to set up CC#

Why do you want to use the cc module? You are aware that you also need to have a merchant account, a payment gateway provider and/or pos system? If not sign up for a paypal account , download the PayPal IPN contribution and install it in your shop. Then you can accept both credit card payments and paypal payments.

Difference between paypal and merchant accts.

Paypal is a 3 party payment processor not a merchant account, and yes you can accept most cards through PayPal. PayPal and other 3 party payment providers like 2checkout, stormpay, paysat and so on have this things in common: 1. The customers credit card statement will show the name of the payment provider and not your company. 2. Any payment recieved goes to the payment provider who then in turn pays you 3. Due to cc regualations the payment have to take place on the payment providers web pages. 4. You do not need to have a merchant account and most also accept private persons. A merchant account is a bank account specially tailored for acceptiong creditcard payments, but to do so you also need a payment gatway provider who does the fysical processing of the cc. 1. The customers credit card statement will show the name of your company. 2. The payment is deposited more or less straight into your merchant account. 3. The payment can be totattaly integrated into you site, ie. the customer inputs the cc info in the payment page and never leaves your site. 4. You will have to be a registered company to accuire a merchant account. Because of the extra costs in having a merchant account and a payment gateway in comparazing with a 3 party payment provider, the usuall consensus is that if you have a monthly turnover under 1000USD go for a 3 party provider if you have a higher turnover go for a merchant account and a payment gateway service. Ofcourse, you can always have both......since some people do actually prefere paypal or do not have a cc.

    Well wouldn't you know!

To get these 2 contributions to work together, you need to edit the attributes code for qtpro to sort the attributes according to your set order. This willl not just be a text replace, or a search after instruction from the sort order contrib instructions. You will need to first find out where and how the sort order is added in the compare to the original query statements, then you will have to go into the qtpro code and modify the query statements there to include the sort order.

Sure hope someone knows the answer

That is the way it works, if you want it to redirect you also have to install the redirect script named: 18 Feb 2005 - Redirect Old URLs - 301 headers [bETA-3] or change to the new 2.1 where the redirect is integrated.

    PayPal Problems

The order status for all Paypal ipn orders is et to " preparing (paypal IPN) " when the customer leaves your site to make payment at paypal, when the payment is completed he is then sent back to your site and the order is moved to "Pending" If he does not complete the payment there, ofcourse no payment goes to your paypal account, and the order stays as " preparing (paypal IPN) " in your admin. The order can also stay as " preparing (paypal IPN) " if the customer has completed his order but does not return to your site afterwards for some reason. (This is why the order is stored as he lives your site, as a backup if he fails to return after payment). Install the Paypal ipn module, and you will always have a copy of the order, even if the cutomer does not return to your site after having completet payment at the Paypal page.
