How to edit existing add-on pages at http://addons.oscommerce.com?
toyicebear replied to xpayments's topic in General Add-Ons Support
You can not edit/remove add-ons, you can only add in new packages. The old entries and files remain available for download as an archive for those who wish to checkout old versions. If there are major changes you might instead want to add it as a separate new add-on. If you have other needs and can not get hold of the site webmaster, you might try contacting one of the moderators and ask about information/assistance. -

toyicebear replied to toyicebear's topic in Templates and Images
You will have to manually style osc2.3.4 bootstrap or you can look at something like: http://forums.oscommerce.com/topic/398773-234bs-responsive-template-no-core-code-changes/ -

This is for "stock" osc 2.3.4 , it will not work for osc2.3.4 bootstrap. -
The paypal standard module included with 2.3+ is a IPN module that pre-saves the order, so you can simply change out your old one with that. Or if you don't want to replace the module you have, you can try this: http://addons.oscommerce.com/info/8984

If you want to transmit cc info on your pages you will need SSL. If you send the customer to a 3 party payment service to complete payment info then you don't necessarily need SSL, but even so you should still have it since you are collecting sensitive personal info during checkout.
-
2checkout now also offer a solution where the customer does not leave your site, the payment info entry is done in a pop-up.

It might be the 5 USD option has been discontinued for the US, I can't seem to locate it at their website anymore, it used to be available under the name PayPal Advanced. PayPal hosted (pro) countries and fees outside of the US. https://developer.paypal.com/docs/classic/products/website-payments-pro-hosted-solution/#availability-and-fees

PayPal Advanced/Hosted gives the illusion of the input being on your site by using a iframe solution, so the card info is directly inputted to the paypal server while still showing in your checkout. (For US merchants this is available for 5 USD a month)
