  1. A lot of websites are now offering payments where the customer buys now, pays later with no interest on the payments. There's a couple of services in Australia doing these type of payments and I've seen people all over the web talking about them. The merchants I know offering it via other shopping carts see up to 60% of their payments done that way. After a long google search, I can see another seller asking about a payment module for this type of payment and freelance jobs asking for them but that's about it. Does anyone out there know of a module for either of these companies being in the works, including commercial modules?
  2. Has anyone seen a tutorial published anywhere with a guide to changing the box colours and footer background etc in the bootstrap version of oscommerce? I'm happy with the layout, I just want to change the colours to suit my theme and to fit with the logo better but I have zero knowledge of css. With bootstrap oscommerce being so popular now I thought there'd be a page about it somewhere but I've had no luck finding one. Oooh, also the blue around the welcome text, how to change that as well.
  3. I'm just wondering which is the best method for all products to offer "free shipping", can any of the default modules just be set to $0.00 (and it will work)?

    NEW! Complete Order Editing Tool!

Hi Dan, when you edit an order that has a coupon, I've never found any way to actually get it to calculate correctly, it doesn't minus the discounted amount off the order.

Anyone made a module for Afterpay or Zippay (Australia)

If you go to Zippay now it says Oscommerce (coming soon) somewhere.. so someone is working on it!

Anyone made a module for Afterpay or Zippay (Australia)

Hi Samantha, Thank you for your interest in Afterpay! Upon reviewing your inquiry, it seems your business is on an eCommerce platform we don't support right now. We currently have a verified plugin with: (List of current shopping carts, no oscommerce on list) - If you believe this is an error or you plan on switching to one of the supported platforms, please reply directly to this email. Otherwise, we have your details saved and will contact you when we support your preferred eCommerce platform. Continued Success, The Afterpay Team
  9. I think very specific settings are needed in your PayPal account for Standard to work properly, if you search the forums there should be detailed info somewhere.

Refunds not being shown with Paypal Express on 2.3.4

I never used PP Express in 2.2 but in this current version I have also never seen the order status change with a refund. We change it manually since refunds are uncommon.

Anyone made a module for Afterpay or Zippay (Australia)

G'day Doug, although there are modules for other carts, apparently Afterpay is not really offering any help with at the moment with developing modules as they are already over-committed in other areas. I am so keen to use it, I have heard it increases sales like you wouldn't believe. It might help if Australian merchants on here were expressing an interest so we could show demand.

    PayPal App v5.000

@@greasemonkey Pay Pal is doing some kind of update on this date, but it should only affect Standard (or so I'm told), whenever they change anything there seem to be glitches.

    PayPal App v5.000

Hi Harald, I am fairly sure I already had an admin/ folder but it serves no purpose other than being a "red herring" for hackers, it is directory protected but no username and pass will get you into it. That's why I asked if I could just delete the PayPal.php out of it rather than delete the directory itself. By the way, I tested it out front and the latest version works perfectly when you change addresses at PayPal, the shipping rates weren't updating to a new countries rate but now updates perfectly.

    PayPal App v5.000

Harald, I just did the last Paypal App updates you did and it says to delete the /admin folder if you have a custom named admin folder. Is that accurate or can we just delete the PayPal.php file out of it that your earlier update put in there?

    PayPal App v5.000

@@Harald Ponce de Leon it appears to be with Pay Pal standard only that they are removing commas for the thousands point. I attempted to check your demo.. but for the life me of I cannot remember the pass I used on that site and the pass forgotten email never came LOL This is what Pay Pal said when I queried the change coming on 29th of March. Unless I'm mistaken, this would only affect sales where the amount is greater than $999.00 - they are rare as hen's teeth these days so I am not sure the change would affect my older shop..

Is the issue Pay Pal has with oscommerce passing along an (unwanted) thousands point (,) solved in this version or was it solved in previous versions?

Pay Pal App Callbackresponse clarification re: logs

@@greasemonkey thanks for the help though, much appreciated. I'm waiting to hear back from the host if they can find they are blocking anything from Pay Pal. It's hard because Pay Pal won't give you the IP addresses they use anymore, the tech support will only say "it's dynamic, you'll have to work it out from your logs". A really poor response from Pay Pal if you ask me.
  21. I'm sorry if this is a newbie question, but I find with the Pay Pal app that an entry called "Callbackresponse" with a Pay Pal IP such as 173.0.81.65 or 173.0.81.33 ONLY seems to appear in the log when the order is unsuccessful or doesn't go through for some reason. Is that how it's meant to be? All of our successfully processed orders do not have a callbackresponse appear in the logs at all.

Pay Pal App Callbackresponse clarification re: logs

It is on catch everything, that's the weird part. I only get the callbackresponse on orders that never end up going through though. Like my lady that was being fed the wrong rates for her order size. All successful transactions do not log any callbackresponse in the log page.
  23. @@Harald Ponce de Leon I managed to get to a PC earlier, the only errors I see are the following: Failed to decode downloaded font: https://www.website.com.au/ext/bootstrap/fonts/glyphicons-halflings-regular.woff2 VM89 shopping_cart.php:1 OTS parsing error: invalid version tag VM89 shopping_cart.php:1 Failed to decode downloaded font: https://www.website.com.au/ext/bootstrap/fonts/glyphicons-halflings-regular.woff2 VM89 shopping_cart.php:1 OTS parsing error: invalid version tag But that is both with in-context and classic and I'm guessing nothing to do with the shipping estimator problem lol
  24. Hi Harald, I am afraid I am away from a PC for at least another 24 hrs, I will check ASAP.
  25. Having in context turned on in BS Gold did cause problems with the shipping estimator below the shopping cart for me. When in context is turned on, the customer can no longer select other shipping methods using the estimator... but this was found in the PayPal app version not with the BS patch, maybe someone else can test it.
