  4. In the shopping cart, you can click on the product image/name, and it'll take you back to the product info page with the options still populated, so the customer could fix errors. The problem is...the only option is "add to cart", so once they fixed the error, a second product is added to the cart, rather than the current one being updated. Hmmm.....?
  5. Sorry to bother you again, but I was wondering if there was a way to add an "edit" button to the shopping cart page to allow the customer to fix any typos before proceeding to checkout. Thanks!!

  7. Thanks so much for the contribution! It's working well, but I am curious if there is an attribute copier contribution that will work with this. I have dozens of products that each allow for the same 10 options, so it would be great to just copy from one product to another as you could with previous versions of OsCommerce. Thanks!
  8. Just added the "Categories Filter" contribution, but I do not see anything new in the Admin. Can someone who has successfully installed the contribution describe what you are supposed to see on the Admin side? And since I don't "see" anything new, any guess as to where I went wrong? Thanks!!
  9. I'm using the SubCategory Links addon to display images/links to Subcategories when on the parent Category page. However, I do not want the Subcategory image to display when actually on its Subcategory page. Any suggestions?

  12. Awesome addon!! I do have a couple of questions though. 1. In Admin, there is a drop down to choose your "selected" and "unselected" icons. I do not have any choices when clicking the drop down. Do I need to do anything to add them, or should they be there by default? 2. On the store side, if I click a category that does not have any subcategories, what is supposed to happen? For me, the box still expands but is empty...just wondering if that is correct. I am using a custom themeroller theme. I'll admit that I got a bit confused by all the jquery version information I read in the forums. The themeroller files I downloaded were version 1.9.2, but they didn't work at first, so I renamed to 1.10.4 and they worked (for styling anyway). Might that be affecting the accordion box? Thanks!!!
  13. Starting a new store (first time working with 2.3.4) and having trouble installing STS. Does anyone know if it is compatible with 2.3.4? If not, is there another solution that works similar to STS? Thanks!

    Thanks so much for the suggestion. I read through Gary Burton's free design book snippet, and it was REALLY helpful, so I purchased the full book and am working through it now. So far, I highly recommend it for anyone trying to wrap their head around 960-grid and oscommerce. Having fun playing with it, but I'm sure I'll have plenty of questions along the way. Thanks again!

    Does STS work with 2.3.4?

    Okay, I found in the contribution thread that STS is no longer compatible. Bummer. I know folks are recommending the use of ThemeRoller, though I'm not too familiar with it. What I liked about STS was being able to design from scratch and then pop in the elements ("$cartbox", "$content") I want where I want them. Is ThemeRoller still the best option for what I want/need? Seems like I'd be starting with a design miles from what my end result would be.

  18. I don't believe the files in the Update_Docs folder are current, as they still use the category_head_title_tag field. Instead, I used the instructions in the Install_Admin doc, and it worked fine. - Dani
  19. Thanks, Jack! Talk about making something harder than it had to be. I has misunderstood before and thought I needed to remove all the code from the Categories Description mod! I turned it off in the admin and everything is working perfectly now! One last thing, do you know how I would go about limiting the category description display to only the first page of the category's product listings? Let's say I have a category with 100 products. When the visitor first enters that category, I'd like to have summary text about the category, before the product list begins on that page. However, when the visitor goes to page 2, 3, 4 etc. of the category's product listing, they wouldn't want or need to see that text again. Any suggestions??

    [Contribution] Category Descriptions MS2

    I was using a very old version of Header Tags controller and only just updated to the version that supports the category descriptions. I'm still running into the same problem however...the text displays on all pages of the category, whereas I do not want it to display if page=2, 3, 4, etc. I'm stuck as to write the code, however.
  21. I wasn't able to get both to work, so I went back to an old version of admin/categories.php that didn't have the categories descriptions modifications and installed header tags controller. Now, I do see the meta tag info fields for my categories. I also noticed that their is a field now that says "Header Tags Categories Description". Can you tell me what that field is for?   22. Yep, I do have cat descriptions installed. I didn't even realize they used the same code. Bummer. Is there a workaround that allows both contributions to be used, or do you know of another way to add text before your products are displayed in a category? Sorry, I'm a little slow on this one. Okay, I have a page named fundraising.php. I went to "Page Control" and typed in fundraising as the page name and entered meta tag info for that page. Do I now need to do something to the fundraising.php page, or is that taken care of since my site uses STS? Thanks!
  23. When I edit a product, I see the fields to edit the meta tag information for the product. However, when I edit a category, I do not see any fields to edit the category's meta tag information. You're saying I should also see meta tag info fields for categories, right? If so, do you have any suggestions as to what the problem might be? I have a page named fundraising.php, and I've added it via page control. When I click on "Text Control", I see the page listed, and the Title field has the title listed. However, when I view the fundraising.php page, I do not see the Title. I do see the Default title, so it is partially working. Any suggestions?? Thanks again!!
  24. Thanks!! I pretty much started over like it was a new contribution and it seems to be working. :) Couple of questions: 1. When I'm editing a category in the Admin, should I see the "Meta Tag Information" fields like I do when editing a product? I was expecting those fields to be present, but they are not. 2. How do you enter Meta Tag info for a page you have added? I went to the header tags controller page and clicked "update" under "Check Missing Pages". I see the page I want to add Meta info to listed in the dropdown, but I don't quite get how to add the info. I'm sure the directions are here in the forum, but I'm having trouble finding it. Thanks!!!
  25. Thanks Jack. I have updated my sql files and the includes/header_tags.php file. I'm working on the updates to the admin, but I've already run into a snag. I've updated admin/categories.php, but now I'm getting the following error: My categories_descriptions table has the following fields: categories_name, categories_heading_title, categories_description, categories_htc_title_tag, categories_htc_desc_tag, categories_htc_keywords_tag and categories_htc_description. Any idea where I've gotten off track? Thanks!!
