    jQuery/Ajax Shopping Cart

Thank you for your help! The thing with the delete button has worked well. "Oh and Baumfist, I'll see what I can do with the product thumbnails added to the cart when i got time. Did The problem is it's (the cart) so small, but maybe we can squeeze them together somehow." That's what I was thinking, maybe you can make the thumbnails smaller percentage. They could well be less than in the big shopping_cart.

Thank you very much Dr. Rolex . Really good job! For me, at first glance, everything seems to work properly. Nevertheless, I have a few questions. Is there a way to display product thumbnails in the small shopping_cart? And one more thing, it is of course an interesting solution, showing the delete button when you hover over the quantity button (small shopping_cart). But for the viewer, this delete button is a hidden function that he will probably never find. Why he should know that he have to hover the quantity button to delete something. I would display the delete button always next to quantity button.

Ok cool thing! That sounds good. I'm looking forward to it! I've searched for a long time after such an addon, but never found anything functioning properly. Your addon is so far the best solution. I think that many other Oscommerce users will be pleased about it.

So it is, you have changed something in the jquery-oscart.js. I have copied your code in the jquery-oscart.js and then everything worked fine. I am very grateful to you. I would probably need months to resolve it. I have two more questions: Is it complicated to display the thumbnails also in the small shopping_cart_infobox (similar to the shopping_cart, only slightly smaller)? Which part of the code in the jquery-oscart.js determine the flight direction of the thumbnails?
  6. Thank you for the fast reply. Actually I installed MATC twice. One for create_account, where the user has to check the Privacy-politics-checkbox and one in the confirmation. The checkbox in create_account.php works well. But the checkout_confirmation checkbox doesn't (javascript disabled), because of the "disturbance" of the paypal module. Are you sure it's legal after german rights to place the checkbox in the shipping? I don't know, I will ask my lawyer. But I checked some bigger onlineshops, like redcoon.de or to mention an oscommerce_shop: www.future-x.de/futurex/ And they do it in the confirmation. Nevertheless I think it's advisable to place the checkbox in the confirmation. It causes less buy cancellations, because the customers already filled out a lot of information and the last checkbox is a quick decision. "shall I really cancel the purchase and loose all the information I already filled in". In addition, I think very few people really read the Terms and Conditions. So it's all about providing purchase cancelations and to be legal. And if a customer is keen of reading the Conditions he can do it, because its linked in the footer. But that's only my Opinion, I am convincible if you have better arguments =) I really want to know how future-x solved that problem. It seems they modded the addons I also used. I gave them a call and asked how they did it, but sadly they're holding this information back. Someone got an idea? Thanks for all your efforts.
  7. Hello there, I have a problem with checking the Terms & Conditions in the checkout_confirmation.php with javascript disabled using PayPal standard. checkout_confirmation.php redirects me to PayPal, although I did not accept the Terms. I tested with OSC 2.3.3 untouched and used following addons: MATC: http://addons.oscommerce.com/info/8664/v,23 (thanks matt) PP Standard: http://addons.oscommerce.com/info/8763/v,23 (thanks sunrise) Properties: Javascript disabled With Javascript enabled everything works properly. I know there are less then 5% of users, who have JS disabled, but I'm forced to fix this issue cause of the german law. I could use the checkout_payment.php for the checking, but I think the checkbox is perfectly placed in the checkout_confirmation. The MATC addon without JS works like this: checkout_payment.php (information of payment-module gathered) -> checkout_confirmation (checkbox for T&C's) -> redirect to PayPal -> checkout_process.php (checks if the checkbox is checked and redirect to checkout_confirmation if not checked) -> checkout_succes.php You see the problem there: When PayPal is selected it doesnt redirect immediatly to the checkout_process.php Does anyone have an idea or an "easy" Solution for my problem? Thanks in advance, Robert.

I've tried it. It's a great idea to map the attributes directly in the produckt_listing. The buyer can immediately see where he can choose something or not. So far so good. But unfortunately now the thumbs fly not more, when you press the "buy_now" button in the produkt_listing (whether for products with attributes or not). Instead, you will be always connected to the shoping_cart after pressing it. It would be really great if the thumbs in produkt_listing would now also fly to infobox_shopping_cart, regardless of whether the product has attributes or not. Without always connecting to the shoping_cart. Because now the buyer has the overview already in the product_listing. Thanks for your effort!

Great! Great! It's working! Thank you! Excuse me for my finickiness, but I noticed one small thing. If I have a product with attributes on the product_listing and I click on "buy now", then the corresponding thumbnail flies completely correct the infobox shopping cart and it is there to see. But it only seems to be in the basket. If I then go to the shoping cart, this product with attributes, that was just pure flying, no longer there. Perhaps you've also got an idea? Is there a possibility to solve it like that: When you're on the product_listing, and you add products without attributes, everything works as currently. But if you add products with attributes, you will be connected only to the pruduct_info (without flying thumbs). Then the customer would be forced to think about possible attributes. I think that would be a meaningful solution. When the customer in the pruduct_info then press "Buy now" same product , then the thumbnail could fly in the infobox shopping cart, as it is currently.

Hello Dr. Rolex, many thanks for the quick help!!! You're the best. I've tried your suggestions. Part of the problem is resolved, but I still have the problem with the plus and minus buttons for products with attributes in shopping_cart. When I press one of these buttons, then I am connected to the index page. The <a href = "#" .. on the shopping_cart will probably misinterpreted. I use a freshly installed oscommerce shop 2:33 to avoid other sources of mistakes. Unfortunately I know too little about javascript to solve it myself. Would be really cool if you could help me.

Very good work! I've searched for a long time after that. However I still have some little problems. It would be great if someone could help me. For products without attributes if everything works fine. But when I put on the product_info products with attributes in the cart, then the amount of added products in shopping_cart_infobox doesn't update. If I do the same in the product_listing, then the amount of added products in shopping_cart_infobox updates . The amount of added products in the shopping cart in the header and the total in the shopping_cart_infobox doesn't update.. And another problem: If products with attributes are in the shoping_cart , and you take the plus or minus button to change the amount of added products, then you will be linked to http://localhost/example/ #. and the amount of the product remains unchanged. Please Help
  13. Hi Gergely, It`s a very good idea and a great addon you`ve made. I installed all that is needed and it seems to work although I`m not a genius in PHP. I would like to modify this Addon. Maybe you can give me a hint how i could develop simple menu. The following: You have the Manufacturers integrated into simple menu. I`d like to do the same with the Categories and integrate them into simple menu. For me and maybe some others it would be much more important to have the Categories in the menu. Maybe you or someone else can give me a hint or a solution how I could accomplish it. I`d be very very grateful.
