Order not saved when paying with PayPal

To get you out of a hole for now you need to install 2 simple contributions, Master Password & Recover Carts. This will allow you to see which cart is stuck and then log into the customers account and finish off their shopping cart (selecting Cheque/Money Order instead of Paypal as a payment option.) Search for Master Password in the contributions and take your pick. The recover carts contribution that seems to work well is this one..... http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,1688 Good luck Derek

    paypal popup when checking out

If you have access to PHPMYADMIN where your site is hosted there should be an area called protected directories, this is where you can protect your admin folder. This is the easiest way IMO of protecting it. Derek

    PayPal error

I don't think this has anything to do with your error but you will need to change this line anyway.... $this->form_action_url = 'https://secure.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr'; This should now read... $this->form_action_url = 'https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr'; Otherwise you will get a certificate error pop up when trying to go to Paypal (See this post here...http://forums.oscommerce.com/index.php?showtopic=133160) Derek

    CVV2 problems

If I remember rightly you have to either edit the new cc.php file and look for "cc_validation1.php" & change it to "cc_validation.php" or create a copy of "cc_validation".php and name it "cc_validation1.php" within the /includes/classes directory. Check the file permissions too. You might also want to read this too.... http://forums.oscommerce.com/index.php?showtopic=143584 Good luck Derek

    Credit Card Module with CVV

This is what I was trying to resolve. The email that was being generated was sending the whole number and not the middle 8 numbers as it should. As you can see from my post above it is now sorted. I was quite aware of the security problems with regard to sending the whole number by email which is why I needed it sorting as quick as possible. Credit Card Module with CVV

I have resolved this problem, i'm surprised nobody else has had this problem before. I am using this contribution "Credit Card with CVV2" http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,2954 I have compared the old cc.php file with the new updated one and found an error on line 178.... $message = 'Order #' . $insert_id . "\n\n" . 'Credit Card NO: ' . $ccu . "\n\n" . 'CVV2:: ' . $cvvu . "\n\n"; It should read.... $message = 'Order #' . $insert_id . "\n\n" . 'Credit Card NO: ' . $this->cc_middle . "\n\n" . 'CVV2:: ' . $cvvu . "\n\n"; $ccu was calling the full credit card number instead of the middle 8 numbers. It is now only sending the middle 8 numbers. Hopefully this might help anyone else who has come up against this problem. Derek

    Credit Card Module with CVV

I am just testing my company's new store and when I submit a test order the full credit card number is sent in the email. The order in the admin panel only shows the first & last 4 digits so that seems to be working OK. Has anyone else had this problem and resolved it? Any help greatfully received. Derek

    PayPal died

There is a quick fix for this situation with a couple of contributions to add, but it does sound like the Paypal IPN is the best way to go. See here for the quick fix http://forums.oscommerce.com/index.php?showtopic=142907 Derek

It seems Paypal IPN contribution gets around this problem but try this for a quick fix. Install the Master Password contribution http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,1459/ Then install the "Recover Carts" contribution (Can't remember which one, sorry) Now in admin you should be able to see the abandoned cart. You will now also be able to log into the customers account using the master password and finish the customer's order off manually. You will have to choose check/postal order as their method of payment and then edit it afterwards, we use one of the order editor contributions to do this. Good luck Derek

Problems with PayPal since change ?

I had this happen to my company website. I was using a phpbb system to sell textile machines and I had the message "This site is defaced" at the top. Luckily I make backups on a very regular basis and had the site up and running within a couple of hours. I now have the latest phpbb installed and my host has the latest php & plesk installed too. There are thousands affected by this worm, check this out.... http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&q=%22...efaced%22&meta= Oscommerce sites are very much at risk from this worm. Derek
