  1. Hello (again), i am wondering if this add-on (and the Google XML Sitemap SEO one) is suitable for a v2.3.1 store ? Thank you, Christine
  2. A quickie if i may - is 'Sitemap SEO' (and Google XML Sitemap SEO ) successful with v2.3.1 stores also ?
  3. Have added this module and although i can see some of what it does and am loving it, i am a tad confused. I have put some effort into setting up the relevant keywords and descriptions for all categories and products yet when i view the source for either a category or an individual product i'm only seeing the default keywords and descriptions. E.g. for my 'Baby & Christening' Category i have set up the following : Header Tags Category Title: PixMix - Baby and Christening Header Tags Category Description: Beautiful, unusual and unique personalised presents, gifts and bespoke art for babies, new born, boys and girls, baby shower, Christenings and Baptisms Header Tags Category Keywords: Babies, Christening, New Born, Boy, Girl, Baby, Shower, unusual, unique, personalised, present, gift, bespoke When i open that category it looks good in that i can see header text has been added above my products, citing the 'Header Tags Category Description' value. Yet when i look in the source code of the page it reads: <head> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" > <title>PixMix - Unusual - Personalised - Presents</title> <meta name="Description" content="Handmade Unusual and Unique Personalised Presents, Gifts and Bespoke Art" > <meta name="Keywords" content="Unusual, Unique, Personalised, Bespoke, Art, Presents, Gifts" > <meta name="googlebot" content="all" > <meta name="robots" content="noodp" > <meta name="slurp" content="noydir" > <meta name="robots" content="index, follow" > <link rel="canonical" href="http://pixmix.co.uk/estore/baby-and-christening-c-22?cPath=22" ><!-- EOF: Header Tags SEO Generated Meta Tags --> ...</head> Perhaps i'm barking up the wrong tree but i would have expected the values i stated for this category to be included in these meta tags rather than the default values i set up for the site as a whole? I'm hoping there's an admin setting i've overlooked, but i can't see anything obvious. Any ideas ? *** UPDATE: I have just seen Freakystreak's thread from 11AUG11, and as i have pretty much the same set-up i'll follow their advice, have high hopes that will do the trick ...***
  4. Is wondering why I've been yawning since 6pm and yet can't get to sleep!

  5. It's late and i'm tired, and i'm new ! Hopefully that's enough excuses to cover my asking such a basic and silly question .... i want to install USU5 on to my new 2.3 database (with a few add-ons just added). I can't for the life of me figure out if r205 is a complete version or whether i need to start with the 22DEC10 initial version first ? Sorry .... but thanks, Christine
  6. Hey, thank you very much Jack for getting back to me (sorry if this is a repeat response but the one i was just working on just vanished!) Anyway i wanted to let you know i went back over everything with a fine toothcomb and then an even finer one .... it seems in my haste to skip steps 1a and 1b i also skipped the amendment detailed in step 1 (namely the update to <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=<?php echo CHARSET; ?>"> <title><?php echo TITLE; ?></title> ... with that now in place it's all looking a lot better ! Thanks, Christine
  7. Hello, am new to OSCommerce but have muddled my way through and wanted finally to add this module before adding my products & SEO data before getting my site live. I have added Header Tags SEO V 3.2.6 on to a 2.3.1 database (using catalog versiongreaterthan2.3), i was confused initially as i didn't appear to be either a BTS or STS user, but saw a response was posted to someone with a similar issue on 30 June 2011, 22:43 stating " That's a mistake in the instructions. BTS and STS won't work with 2.3 so you can skip those steps." So i have not completed any of the items in 1a or 1b and moved on to step 2 in install_catalog.txt , i've completed all catalog and admin steps now and during some initially testing i am receiving the following error: Call to undefined function StripSID() in ..catalog/includes/modules/header_tags_social_bookmarks.php on line 10 I am wondering if perhaps it is something that might have been performed in steps 1a or 1b that deal with the definition of this StripSID funtion that i am missing ? Or any other suggestions of where i should back track to ? Thank you, Christine.
