  1. Hi found an old addin http://addons.oscommerce.com/info/4085 that does exactly what I want and it seems to work on the latest build Ian
  2. Hi as per a previous post it seems not practicable for me to have a "price on application " on a listed shop item. Is is possible to have a catagory and within that have items listed so that when the end user selects a catagory the items are listed and when they click on an item a normal php page is shown? This page would list the product details etc but advise that price is on application thanks Ian
  3. Thanks my issue is similar to a pc build but with packaging machines thanks for the ideas Ian
  4. Hi I need to include some products that are available but the price is dependent on specific customer options and modifications. Is the only way to list the price as 0.00 and add details to the description or is there a better way? thanks Ian
  5. THanks one and all exactly what I wanted Ian
  6. Hi I've set the shop to use Paypal Sandbox but I thought I would get a message on the opening page saying the site is not live yet. As per the OSc demo shop. Is this a built in function or do I have to add it manually thanks Ian
  7. Hi many thanks knew I was missing something;-) cheers Ian
  8. Hi the site below is work in progress so to speak. at this page http://www.pnh-foodmachinery.co.uk/catalog/index.php?cPath=24 the catagory names are repeated twice ie packmatic Series ans packmatic series I can't see why this is - is it necessary or am I as usual missing something thanks Ian
  9. Hi Is this to show the large image in a popup ? or to link to other media thanks Ian
  10. Hi sure this has been asked and answered before but I'm not 100%sure what my question should be. I need to allow the enduser to access specific parts of the admin ie create edit products or perhaps a better way of looking at it is I need to prevent them from accessing all non product related areas of the admin end. I've done a search in addins but can't find a specific addin so I'm sure I not searching for the right name thanks Ian
  11. HI thanks for the response which was especialy useful as - having a senior moment- I forgot you can use any card with paypal so I'll leave it alone thanks Ian
  12. Hi I'm using the 2.3.4 reponsive build. I've removed the payment icons from the footer leaving only the required paypal. On the left hand side is a box listing all payment methods and I want to remove all the logos except PayPal. Ok the graphics are in the images folder and the file is I suspect "bm_card_acceptance" in the includes-modules folder. But I can't work out how to delete these logos, from the coding I read it's a drag and drop option but I am at a loss. Any help would be helpful thanks Ian
  13. Hi following advice downwoaded ckeditor and followed the instructions below. 1. Download the latest CKEditor from http://ckeditor.com/download and unpack to catalog/admin/ext/ckeditor - ckeditor.js should now be in the top level of this folder. CKeditor 3.5 was released on December 17th, 2010. 2. Open /catalog/admin/includes/functions/html_output.php and change the tep_draw_textarea_field (around line 252) to read: $field = '<textarea name="' . tep_output_string($name) . '" id="' . tep_output_string($name) . '" cols="' . tep_output_string($width) . '" rows="' . tep_output_string($height) . '"'; 3. Open /catalog/admin/includes/template_top.php and add the following before the </head> tag: <?php if (!defined('USE_CKEDITOR_ADMIN_TEXTAREA')) { tep_db_query("insert into " . TABLE_CONFIGURATION . " (configuration_id, configuration_title, configuration_key, configuration_value, configuration_description, configuration_group_id, sort_order, date_added, set_function) values ('', 'Use CKEditor', 'USE_CKEDITOR_ADMIN_TEXTAREA','true','Use CKEditor for WYSIWYG editing of textarea fields in admin',1,99,now(),'tep_cfg_select_option(array(\'true\', \'false\'),' )"); define ('USE_CKEDITOR_ADMIN_TEXTAREA','true'); } if (USE_CKEDITOR_ADMIN_TEXTAREA == "true") { ?> <script type="text/javascript" src="<?php echo tep_href_link('ext/ckeditor/ckeditor.js'); ?>"></script> <script type="text/javascript" src="<?php echo tep_href_link('ext/ckeditor/adapters/jquery.js'); ?>"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> $(function() { var $editors = $('textarea'); if ($editors.length) { $editors.each(function() { var editorID = $(this).attr("id"); var instance = CKEDITOR.instances[editorID]; if (instance) { CKEDITOR.remove(instance); } CKEDITOR.replace(editorID); }); } }); </script> <?php } ?> I have designated an alternate name for the admin directory when installing Now when I run admin I get the error 1366 - Incorrect integer value: '' for column 'configuration_id' at row 1 insert into configuration (configuration_id, configuration_title, configuration_key, configuration_value, configuration_description, configuration_group_id, sort_order, date_added, set_function) values ('', 'Use CKEditor', 'USE_CKEDITOR_ADMIN_TEXTAREA','true','Use CKEditor for WYSIWYG editing of textarea fields in admin',1,99,now(),'tep_cfg_select_option(array(\'true\', \'false\'),' ) [TEP STOP] Would appreciate any ideas thanks Ian
  14. Thanks I'll take a look Ian
  15. HI just an update - you were quite correct Fasthosts and 1 to 1 here in the Uk do not allow the "options" As you suggested I commented it out and it installed. I contacted fasthosts who refered me back to the template writer and the template writer basically said my hosting company didn't know what they were doing and were talking rubbish. Finaly he does not support installtion problems so it's all my bag!. Lesson learnt, do not buy buy templates an if forced to do so get an assurance of a refund if it wont work on your hosting platform. So I've gone over to using the standard template and learning from that. Many thanks for the advice cheers Ian
