  1. I've had this coupon mod/contribution working on a site for a while now, but for some reason the "Max Use" option is not working when we set it to a limited number like "1" (only tested "1", not other numbers). I've checked the entire installation of this mod on the site, but found no problem, and it works all the way through, except it's not logging the fact that a customer used a particular coupon so they can use it over and over again even if "Max Use" is set to 1. I confirmed if I manually add the customer to the discount_coupons_to_customers table, the site does stop the customer from using the coupon again. The problem seems to be that the checkout_process.php doesn't appear to be adding the customer to that table even though it is adding order information to the other standard OScommerce tables. Unless I'm missing some update, the checkout_process.php file has: //kgt - discount coupons if( tep_session_is_registered( 'coupon' ) && is_object( $order->coupon ) ) { $sql_data_array = array( 'coupons_id' => $order->coupon->coupon['coupons_id'], 'orders_id' => $insert_id ); tep_db_perform( TABLE_DISCOUNT_COUPONS_TO_ORDERS, $sql_data_array ); } //end kgt - discount coupons near the top and it has: //kgt - discount coupons tep_session_unregister('coupon'); //end kgt - discount coupons near the end. I manually checked both variables in the if statement (by having it echo some text on the confirmation page if they are true), but it seems like when it comes back from processing a payment (which is only one option, PayPal), one or both of those variables are lost or stripped out? The site is using the new PayPal App module for OScommerce and I know the Max Use setting was tested to work two years ago when the site was set up with the older PayPal module, but now it's not. Now that I write this, I'm thinking the problem is happening after they come back from paying via PayPal. Has anyone else had this problem and/or does anyone know of a fix?
  2. I installed Product Attributes Option Type v3.0 from here: Product Attributes Option Type It works great to have product options that are text input boxes. What I'm using it for is to have a cable length input for a custom electronics cable site where you pick a part with the connectors and cable type you want, then input the exact length of the cable to add it to your cart with the correct price. For instance: http://www.unitedmicrowave.net/store/product_info.php?cPath=22&products_id=936 I can enter a price for a text option, but it doesn't seem to do anything at all with text or text area type options when it comes to the price. All I want to do is have it take the user input for the cable length (which could be 2.875 or 3.2222 or whatever), multiply it by the option cost, which would be the cost per inch, then add that to the base product price when the user adds it to the cart. Any ideas where I would modify it to do that and how? I'm thinking it's in the product_info.php page where you need to modify it to use the text option's price, then I need to modify that to do the multiplication of the option's text/number and price, then add that to the product price to add it to cart. Any help would be very much appreciated -- thanks...

    Custom Product Builder

I haven't seen this question come up in the forum, but it's possible I missed it: Is it possible to make it so the customer can type in a number for a component quantity instead of picking it from a pop-up menu? We're creating a site to build/sell custom cable assemblies. The three main components are two connectors and a custom length cable (like a custom ethernet cable). The customer in a normal conversation can order a cable using connector ABC at one end, connector XYZ at the other end, and exactly 14.375 inches of MNO cable between those connectors, for instance. So, picking the ABC and XYZ connectors using this add-on is no problem (although I probably need to hide the connector quantities because there will be only one of each, but not a big deal). Picking the cable is no problem, and I can set the price of the cable as the price per inch, so the pop-up menu to select the "quantity" of the cable would work as long as the customer doesn't need a totally custom length like 14.375. So, how could I set up or modify this add-on so the customer can enter a completely custom cable length/quantity?

    [Development] Products Specifications

Maybe I'm missing something or it might be because I'm not totally fluent in PHP, but where in the comparison.php (in catalog/includes/modules right?) does it specify the sort by products_id? If you can show the code piece you're talking about, that would help a lot. Thanks...

    [Development] Products Specifications

So, if I added a new field to the Products table in the OScommerce database, I could add that field to the $columns_query_raw to sort the products? Or, I suppose I could sort by an existing field like the manufacturers_id? It looks like it sorts the list in the Comparison table by products_id, which won't work now or in the future for this site. How would I change it to sort by the products_name or manufacturers_id fields instead? Thanks again in advance...

    [Development] Products Specifications

I haven't seen this topic come up anywhere else, but please point me in the right direction if it has. I'm using products specifications on a customer site that sells electronic parts to engineers, so the comparison table page is very important to them. The problem I have is that they really need to change the default sort of the tables in the comparison page to sort by one of their custom specifications (rated power). If the table could be changed to allow user sorting by clicking the column header that would be ideal, but just changing the default sort would be enough. Here's an example: http://powersupplyemporium.com/index.php?cPath=46_109 Thanks in advance for this great oscommerce mod and any help you can give me...
